Business › Re: Why The New Minimum Capital Base For Banks Should Be At Least $5 Billion by RepoMan007: 12:10pm On Jan 15, 2024
As of today, less than 3% of Nigerians have access to loans from the formal sector, and in a thriving economy, this figure should be at least 70%. However, our bankers have failed to develop the credit system in the country as it's much easier for them to earn fat interests and fees from government securities than to do the hard work of managing millions of small lenders with the higher attendant risk associated with lending to them.

Nigerians are actually rich but very ignorant to understand

They have their own houses and cars yet compare themselves with people on Mortgage, Carloan, Prepaid iphone

World bank would guess and release statistics about people in Nigeria living on $1 dollar a day

Average Nigeria pays rent or own a house far higher than $1, we eat delicious meals far more than $1

Dangote cement has the biggest supply chain in Africa, dangote cement is the costliest in Nigerian, so how you expect dangote refinery not to expensive

Anything more than than what 400/liter is nonsense because they told us dangote refinery will take care of local consumption and still export excess to other countries, there won’t be need for subsidy payment since we won’t be exporting petroleum again🤡😭😂
illogical. He buys raw material at Intl price so expect close to Intl petrol and diesel prices.

U tink dangote will sell at naira?did he sign any agreement to do crude for product swap?these are d questions we should be asking. If there is no such agreement then remember remember its a business n petrol business is in usd all around d world
he may decide not to sell locally because he took foreign loans that need to be relayed but which ever way it turns out, I don't see the govt of Nigeria having to approach Dangote with forex to buy diesel or petrol after giving him cheaper than market dollar to build. It will also make the govt sit up and fix local refineries.

Your ignorance is incurable. Let's show our work if you are man enough from your university. I hold distinction from the Fed Poly Nasarawa and the best graduating student in computer science, 2016. It's verifiable. Just ask of Debugger in the school. have built several portals for Nigerian govt. Among others with AI driven. You will go get some nonsense degree, jobless and come here to make noise. I hold Bs too and I have seen both sides. You keep generalising like a fool when knowledge depends on individual effort
no vex o. The world over, polytechnics are different from university yet complementary. It is only in jungle Nigeria the lecturers turn it all into a fight.
I can see your pain and apologize on behalf of every HND holder out there for your stupidity.

How do you know which institution category hijacked the syllabus? Are u the designer of the said syllabus? If you know exactly what we are talking about you will know it's a shame for any CS lect to draw a flowchart like a bag of groundnut. I'm sure you are holding a conversation in a field you know nothing about. You are one of those bent at reducing poly graduates to near nothing.
the university syllabuses looks like like that of other world renowned schools unlike our polytechnics where they leave practical and specific technical work for general theory oriented syllabuses.

Only way this refinery benefits the average Nigerian man is obit drives the price of petrol to say at least #350 per liter. Everything's so expensive because petrol is expensive.
by eliminating the need to import petrol, diesel, and more with forex, forex prices will crash thereby strengthening the naira. That means imported commodities like food, clothes and more will cost less to import and thus cheaper. It affects the common man irrespective of whether fuel goes for N1500 or N350 a litre.

both the EE & CE graduates make it possible cos I don't understand studying such courses for years & non of the products can boast of a patent to solve local problems. At least the Technicians from P/C know their jobs but the designers are falling short of their task. It's terrible. Infact this is why more P/C graduate think they should be equal to EE/CE graduate when infact it shouldn't be a debate. Both are supposed to be efficient in their jobs creating a balance ecosystem & harmony
Samsungs for example is investing billions of USD per year to expand. Where will a CE graduate specifically get such to rival them? You should use your brain more oga. Or is it by using peoples live to plus career that we will get there?

Osagie wasn't denied admission, nor was her admission denied by the university. Her certificate was simply held pending a decision on it.

The things you mentioned may have their roots in public institutions, but these irregularities have become the norm in your schools, as long as they bring in money.

I know You know this. Instead of calling for its eradication to improve the quality and standards of private schools, you’re here defending it.
I mean denying she was ever admitted and not offering her. They denied it after she beat them in court and the lecturer was even sentenced.
