NNPC is a shareholder in Dangote refinery. The company owns 20% of the shares of Dangote refinery. So, they are not rivals but related entities.
Govt of Nigeria of the NNPCL. This same NNPCL is into construction of power plants when refineries are barely running. I know you are a govt-bot here so won't disturb myself too much about your senseless talks.

I guess the only case you know of certificates racketeering in a government owned university is that of Lasu, that’s why you are capitalising on it, forgetting that tons of such irregularities have been reported to have occurred in your profit making institutions, hence the call for the investigation.

To push your weak argument, you dubiously accuse OAU of denying a qualified graduate her certificate to cover up for a lecturer. The same lecturer that was shamefully dismissed by the university. You need to read more the Osagie affair and stop sounding unwise. As product of a school that's under investigation, i don’t expect you understand that a university can legitimately withdraw an already issued certificate, talk more of the one not issued yet.
People have been buying certificates long before private universities started operation in 2001 so look for another lie to build your campaign upon.
We all know money for grade is another form of certificate sales but you carefully dodged that because it was invented in your public intellectual toilets called ....

Denial of admission after scandal is different from withdrawal of certificates.

Bugcompiler:
You don't know what you are saying. Generalising things equates ignorance. I hold HND in CS from a federal Polytechnic before I went for Bsc. I learnt nothing new in the so called Bsc. Most of my lecturers in poly were much better than the uni PhD lect who couldn't construct ordinary flowchart. I have beaten uni graduates in many ways, many times holding HND. I have been building useful softwares since my ND, with many of my colleagues doing same.
You ended up supporting my submission about polytechnics trying to be like universities. Polytechnics, the world over has a separate focus different from universities. Your HND and BSc weren't suppose to be identical but because Nigeria is a jungle, the leccturers in polytechnics have hijacked them and turned the syllabuses upside down.
Thank you for reinforcing my point.

How does this change the fact that certificates racketeering is more possible and common in your profit oriented schools? Do you know better than those that ordered the investigation into your post secondary school institutions?

For whatever reasons you chose those schools, i am sure you know about their questionable standards. It’s only reasonable that you defend your school.

FYI OAU (60+ years) don’t sell certificates, it has never happened.
baseless assumptions is all I see in your reply here. If racketeering was only possible in private schools, why was LASU caught pants down? Is LASU private owned?

As for your lame defence of OAU, I think denying a student they genuinely admitted just because she exposed a randy sex-for-mark lecturer is worse than selling certificates. That's as good as denying qualified graduate one. 60 years plus of covering fuçk ups is not an achievement.
Politics › Is It Fair For Dangote Refinery To Depend On NNPCL, A Rival, For Crude? by RepoMan007(op):
Since NNPCL has decided to run as a business and they have a very strong influence over local crude supply to Dangote refinery, will it be fair to Dangote refinery that their raw material supplier is a rival and one known for endemic corruption at that?

funny. If everybody rush to buy dollar so they can keep dollar will rise to N10,000 while they are buying and after a while when hunger and needs comes people will start importing with their own dollar to sell locally. At that point, local sellers will cashout.

This is a good development, but I just hope the practical aspect of these courses are top notch instead of theory-based knowledge they keep pouring on students.
Still better than generic CS where they end up not knowing even the branches of CS talkless of specializing in any.

If you observe IT courses offered around the world, you will notice they tend to have attachment to some BSc programs and always have about 4-6 levels of specialization.
Beginners/Associate
Intermediate/Professional
Advanced
Expert
Architect.

Cisco for example will offer
CCNA(Associate)
CCNP(Professional)
CCIE(Expert)
And then Architect level tasks mostly for experienced professionals.

Can you drive a vehicle or fix one in an office? Though the transport company or union may have an admin and ticket office, but that's for few staffs. Same goes for communications, health, agric, and construction.

We all live in a house, move around, communicate, and consume manufactured essentials. All are heavy on non office jobs.

Funny, many of those public universities have facilities, projects and installations that you certainly won’t find in your profit-oriented universities. Don’t be deceived by the media. Every public sector in Nigeria is underfunded and I don’t expect you to understand what is needed to be done with the media to get the attention of the government on education.
Profit oriented you say. LASU was caught pants down selling any degree for between N2m-N3m just two months ago.
OAU has done worse. So where are you getting your sense of superiority from?

I attended OAU - one of those schools students pick as first choice. They don’t ‘sit on top of windows’ there and you must attend classes to pass.

I can write a book for you about my reservations for private universities if you wish for it.
was it not oau a sex for mark victim was denied as ever being a student because she bested them in court of law again?
The lecturer caught pants down is still there till today claiming saint. If that your shinning lecture hall and proud look is what you use to rate your legion hotspot, I pity you.
Education › Re: FG Unbundles HND Computer Science Across Nigeria by RepoMan007: 7:41am On Jan 13, 2024
The four newly floated areas of specialization floated from Computer Science include HND Artificial Intelligence, HND Networking and Cloud Computing, HND Software and Web Development, and HND Cybersecurity and Data Protection.
The polytechnics and technical colleges have derailed so much they think they are competing with BSc.
While I consider it better to give graduates a sense of direction into newer, hotter, narrow fields of CS they can realistically practice, more can still be done.

Computer and elect-elect engineering is another bastardized program in the HND space. PC technicians are even equating their ability to troubleshoot PCs to full fledged computer engineering and will gladly shame CE or EE graduates with their ability to use gmail or identify a bad RAM or install an OS.

Services and products we need most and spend our money on simply aren't rendered or produced in offices.
If everyone ends up in a good office with good car and wearing white shirts, who will handle among other things:

Agriculture,
Transport,
Communication,
Health,
Buildings construction and repair works,
Education?

You see why many are idle. They are waiting for office jobs. Even willing to do low paying office jobs.

Truly the Houthis are the heroes of our time. They are proven to the world what they're capable of doing.

I expected the US/UK to take the fight to the Red Sea, fight the Houthis soldiers there and not taking your fighter jet to be bombing civilians sleeping at home.

If you have differences with your fellow man, fight him at the spot, going behind to fight his aged mother, wife and children is nothing but being coward.

The Houthis have been blocking any Isreali own ship from passing the Red Sea, I expected the US/UK to take the full fight to the Red sea and not to Yemen.

Now we all can see Israel is just a light weight fighter claiming heavy weight.

If I speak now some foolish lot may start prating.

How is avoiding of investigation equal to dodging a bullet? That's as good as pronouncing them - implicitly - as quilty of some form of misconduct and therefore have dodged being exposed by dodging investigation.

LASU was caught pants down and lack of general investigation for other public schools wasn't considered dodging a bullet because the law isnt meant to make public institutions quilty. Only investigative report by private individuals can expose them and never their owners.
