I will not allow myself to be dragged down your familiar terrain which is trading insult.

If you think attributing a statement from the CBN as a propaganda from BMC then, I have no doubt about your fears of your brain being controlled by Ogboni and Witchcraft.

This year is still new. Grow up.
Mr new year resolution. So you grow by public holiday? Idiotical fellow.

Ekejoestar:
Why portal no go shut down, most people don't know how precarious the unemployment and poverty situation in Nigeria is.

Imagine Nigeria with a population of around 230million having more poor people than China with a population of 1.4billion people. Just take a minute to think about that.
disproportionate!

These are the kind of industries our Individual state governors should create to reduce unemployment across the nation and not palliatives. The billions been stolen daily In the nation should be enough to sack unemployment.
Everyone should hold their state governor responsible if we truly need development.
The mentality around state governance is that you go to the bottomless national pocket backed by crude oil, get allocation, and spend like a loose mistress. Using as little as possible to do needed things and spending on self as much as possible.
This kind of venture Kwara is embarking on should be the primary goal of every entity we call state and not the rockstar status our leaders try to maintain at all means.
Politics › Re: FG To Pay N1.6 Trillion For Electricity Subsidy In 2024 by RepoMan007: 9:16am On Jan 18, 2024
nairalanda1:
It is what they pay to compensate the power sector for being made to charge prices below the cost price, and for having a large percentage of customers stealing power.

The problem is, with rising costs, it usually isn't enough

Government does not want to be realistic, and allow the power sector set its prices, because if they did, they would be voted out in 2027, so they sacrifice good economic polices on the altar of political ambition.
petrol subsidy should never have gone away. Electricity could have easily made way for it.
Today you just see an aluminium cable on pole and booooom, huge subsidy figure. Was power generated and consumed? We don't know for sure because the metering is poor or barely existent. Most painful aspect is what they are subsidizing. Consumption. People leaving bulbs on when it can be off, watching TV and so on.
If power must be subsidized, let it be for industrial and productive uses alone. Residential users can use alternatives sources.
Politics › Re: FG To Pay N1.6 Trillion For Electricity Subsidy In 2024 by RepoMan007: 9:09am On Jan 18, 2024
Paying that colossal amount for what is barely available or metered is another scam of the magnitude of 2007-2013 subsidy fraud.

all arguments does not equate to supporting failures mr man. Local refining of crude should actually eliminate the need for going out to buy petrol with forex. It should also boost prospect of earning more forex if and when exported.

Nigeria is seeking $1.5bn aid from the World Bank to tackle the severe dollar shortage contributing to the decline of the naira.

“We’re hoping to get $1bn or $1.5bn from the World Bank” for budgetary support, Finance Minister Wale Edun said Wednesday to Bloomberg.

What is the propaganda here?
Did the CBN claimed it is not owing in the report you just read?

You are too old to be commenting just for the sake of it
Your are probably to old to be opening your smelling mouth and be stalking me up and down, idiotically.
While you can keep pretending you cannot see the disparity between headline and content, they stated how much was being owed by CBN but never who owed CBN what. And in testament to that, you cannot provide that from the article but I understand witchcraft and ogboni has a was of controlling the brain.

Who is owing CBN forex?
From what I know, CBN is the one owing others and even said they cleared 2 out of 7 Billion USD owed in the report. So what is the blatant propaganda from BMC for?

Seems the govt has realized propaganda isn't working for them to cut expense. FreeStuffÑG is no longer in sync with his pay masters.
Business › Re: Naira Under-valued In Official, Parallel Forex Markets – Bismarck Rewane by RepoMan007:
On the way forward, he said that the government needs to focus on policy changes that will steer Nigeria towards economic resilience in 2024.

According to him, the imperative policy changes include debt rescheduling, increasing interest rates, a more efficient money supply, and an efficient foreign exchange market.

Others are cost-reflective electricity tariffs, reductions in petrol subsidy, and wage reviews.
This confused analyst has been consumed by textbook jargons.
The "way out list" happens to be missing the only sure way out which is local production that gradually substitutes imports and grows into export.

This same man said dollar should go for 640-680 under fair conditions before the imaginary floating of exchange rates. The emefiele they criticized with useless textbook jargons today, they can't deviate from his policies. The parallel and official rates still persist and differ by about N400.
They tried curbing spending to reduce inflation by owing workers and reducing cash in circulation.
They are trying to bypass dormant civil servants and reach wealth creators too with intervention funds just like emefiele did.
They will soon wake up and realize Brazilian hair and raw material for pharmaceuticals should never be contesting for forex at same price also. Maybe then they will swallow the humble pie and deny certain items on the forex list.
Why fund pilgrimage with scarce forex, thereby swelling the overall demand for it, and then turn around to say forex should cost less in principle?

Unemployment can't go away easily by creating jobs. The question is that how many people can these companies employ, and can they even pay a decent salary or wage? The government should give out grants to the teaming youths of Nigeria to encourage self employment, and unemployment alongside underemployment will be reduced to single digit.
half bread is better than none for now.
Plus, import reduction and export prospect is better than scarce forex.
