Interesting, so they raise alarm if a muslim politician shakes a woman... How I wish they'd raised such alarm when Muslim politician embezzles money or got involved in more unspoken vices we've seen over d years. Such are d mediocrity we deal with in this nation of ours |
egift:Let him start the revolution in Daura now….He should set up a Vocation Centre or personal scholarship fund for indigent persons. |
The Key sentence I see in the entire story is "Still, Mr. Fani-Kayode, reputed for making unsubstantiated allegations against political opponents, refused to give the names of the four countries he was referring to." so I would take this piece of information with a pinch of salt. |
If anyone tells you that GEJ has not done anything, just hug them and say, life is too hard for the blind to see |

You are already planning to drink the blood of innocent nigerians once again…how does the smear campaign negate the principle of statesmanship and respect for human life? |
i wonder if the perpetrators would ever be caught? |
lacasa:Must the Northern masses be restive? i tire for una aha |
midolian:How much is been stolen or lost in this country daily? I would like to know my friend |
the question of leadership is not necessarily education or educational qualifications but the possession of the requisite knowledge n skill to properly manage and administer a system or group of people. Nevertheless, to aspire to such position of leadership, the prevailing law requires that a person must be educated to a certain level. And how do you prove that an individual has been educated to the required level? is it by word of mouth or various experiences gained from various leadership positions or from production of a document evidencing the qualification? I believe that the best evidence rule would and should apply, which is the production of a certified document which states that the individual has the requisite academic qualifications to aspire for the position which he soughs. In the instant case, the burden of proof lies squarely on GMB to establish his claim to have obtain the requisite educational qualifications. If he fails to do so, the position of the law is clear...which is that the opposition to go to court and contest his suitability to stand as a candidate for the presidential elections. all these smear campaigns and disrespectful comments wont help us grow as a nation or help us improve intellectually as intelligent beings. |
A lot of Banks would start struggling especially Banks with Salary Accounts of FG staff |
fastguy10:Gbam!!! u just took it out my mouth |
is dis the social and welfarist programme that the APC is promising us? |
Randomly these Pre-Election thoughts surge through my mind: 1. Not too long ago, the General promised to give #5000 naira monthly to unemployed Nigerian Youths if voted into Power and strangely, some Nigerian youths fell for this. Let us do the maths together. If we say for instance that 30 million youths are unemployed, 5000 × 30,000,000= 150,000,000,000. A whopping 150 Billion naira, let us multiply it by 12 months, we get= 1,800,000,000,000. 1.8 Trillion Naira!!! How people fall for stuffs like this offends reason! It defies common sense! We all might as well be mortgaged for the General to be able to pull this one through. 2. I cringe in shock when the opposition say repeatedly that President Jonathan has done Nothing. How on earth can one rationalise that? In no particular order and without having to cogitate, many of these come to mind: Functional Rail systems with room for improvement ( mind you, I wasn't born into the rail era and haven't seen any functional one till now), the YOUWIN Scheme which stares us in the very face with many beneficiaries coming out to attest of reaping the benefits of the Scheme, over a 100 ALMAJIRI Schools built across Northern Nigeria, mind you an Almajiri school ordinarily shouldn't be funded by state funds & of course the last thing the Daura born General will do is to erect just one Missionary School, just one I said. Assembly of locally made Cars and an enabling environment to thrive, for crying out loud, INNOSON Motors lends credence to this assertion, Government input and support in the Creative Arts, Nollywood for emphasis. There is no gainsaying the fact that no Nigerian President has supported Nollywood so generously like Mr Incumbent. Has electricity been privatized in Nigeria and have we noticed improvements in the power sector? Do We honestly believe that the new private Investors in the Power sector can solve a 35year old rotten system in just a few months? And back to the Daura born General, this was a dude that refused bluntly to openly criticise the BOKO HARAM sect in the strongest of terms, a dude who had refused to attend on one or two occasions Council of State Meetings on Security where the BOKO HARAM issue was to be discussed, a dude who had made inflammatory, sectionalist, religious and divisive statements in the past and suddenly, he is trumped up as a better alternative to President Jonathan? His using the BOKO HARAM menace in his political campaigns to score BROWNIE POINTS is only further revealing and condemnable. How about his SSCE result? Have we seen it? But yet this is the BEST NORTHERN Nigeria could offer, An Apostle of Infallibility, An Inerrant Politician, A Saint from Heaven!!! I feel sad that some of us could be harangued and harassed for distancing ourselves from such a fella. We will NEVER say that President Goodluck is infallible but we will boldly CRY that BUHARI is NO ALTERNATIVE |
aresa:You have never worked in the Public Service or Civil Service that is why you stated that "Every major promotions in the Nigerian military is based on education from educational institutions both in Nigeria and abroad". Your lack of understanding of the way the Public Service operates makes you feel that educational qualifications guarantees promotion. Please do a proper research and ask the right questions. Seek knowledge and don't be blinded by your primordial sentiments. I have more than a decade experience in the Public Sector and 5 more years from a structured private organisation. Definitely, I know when educational qualification matters. whether you question my level of education, my intellect or my poor judgment is not the issue. The main issue is that the GMB doesn't have the requisite educational qualifications. If he had it, he would present it to INEC. As simple as ABC. Hope you got my point? |
* I have never seen any school built in his name. * I have never seen any borehole constructed by him. * There is no record of any scholarship awarded by him or for him nor through him. * I have never seen him use his popularity to canvass for any charitable work nor any humanitarian effort, not even at the height of the polio scourge where other purposeful and prominent leaders lead the campaign for immunization. * No single text book has been donated to any school either by him, for him or through him. * Asides from doing nothing, he has not improved himself since his exit from office. * No book written, no memoirs, no lectures, nothing. * The only thing of note he can point to are his numerous interviews on the BBC Hausa station. * He never champion for a university in his state nor has he ever been involved in any kind of programme to better the lives of the Almajiris in Daura. * His entire existence has not led to any meaningful development in Daura, yet they say he can change Nigeria. Doesn't charity begin at home again? * No wonder he was referred to as being ''perpetually unelectable''. by El Rufai * He is not a patron to any organization, group or association. * No professional body in Nigeria has ever invited him for their lecture, convention or gala night. * The only time any known form, body or human assemblage ever chose him to do anything for them was when the Boko Haram terrorist sect nominated him as their spoke person in the proposed talks with the Fed. Govt. Is there any wonder why he says the BH scourge will end if he is elected''? |
Aigipan:Wait for ur General to cry again after losing the elections. a record fourth time. hope that answers ur question? |
Aigipan:I am sure you are not a lawyer and that is why you made the comment that there is no nexus between the concept of rule of law and the constitution. Every law student and lawyer knows this constitutional principle and I wont argue with u on it. I won't be making any headway explaining this intricate concept with u. The more pressing issue I would respond is the issue of honesty and fulfilment of the Constitutional requirements. The position of the law is that the a candidate must be qualified educational to be President. And whose obligations is it to show that he is educational qualified? is it the Person vying for the post or INEC? surely, u know the answer. and finally, u stated that INEC is not complaining. I agree with u on that part. whatever the reasons for INEC not demanding to see the copies of his educational certificates is beyond my knowledge but from the statement of the INEC spokesperson, the Commission would prefer the constitutional interpretation of the section by the Court so that the issue could be settled fully. Thanks |
I wonder who the strike is directed to? the Executive or National Assembly? a very funny situation because the people (i.e. Judges) who should be crying and wailing are actually quiet or mute on the issue. they stand to gain more than the ordinary judicial staff worker in this present situation |
War College? r u serious or joking? He should just present all his attendance certificates from Nigerian Defence College too then. no need to travel to the US to unearth this picture. I still find it difficult to understand how educated Nigerians cannot distinguish btw "Basic Educational Qualifications" and "Training Courses"...it is truly surprising TOKUGAWA: |
The rule in law and the constitution is that "he who asserts must prove". Thus, the burden of proving that GMB has the basic qualifications to contest for the post of President of Nigeria lies with him and him alone. it is not for any Nigerian to go to court to show that. Unfortunately, sentiments would not permit the right thing to be done in Nigeria and the General would contest the election without qualifications. And before the barrage of unsavoury and childish insults, do honestly search within your conscience and tell me whether you would apply for any job in Nigeria or abroad without presenting your educational documents. thank you Aigipan: |
Training courses cannot be substituted for standard and basic educational qualifications. The Constitution which is the highest law of the land dictates that a President must be at least educated to the level of senior secondary school and a person wishing to become one oughts Nigerians and the Country a duty to produce this basic requirement. If Gen. Buhari is truly 'Mai Gaskiya', he owes his supporters and critics the duty to honestly produce evidence of his educational qualifications. It is wrong for the APC Chieftain to trivialise such an importance issue and try to swept away the matter under the political rug. |
Simple....U no longer use kerosine to boil or cook ur beans but ur gas cooker...and d gas flames makes d cooking process faster than before. |
Controversy: Lol @ Nigerians celebrating second best...This is very unfair and unkind of you to say...Research is not an easy task and taking second is a great achievement...Kindly encourage more people to engage in research works and enter competitions like this...Maybe some day we would take the first prize.
