As a Christian and Yoruba man, I am caught in the middle.

I wouldn’t pretend to be happy about this. The igbos have been proved right once more and it is sad. Let’s see how things play out next year.

But one thing.i know is that the muslim ummah in yorubaland will continue to support Buhari. So I guess we are stuck with Buhari?

Politics / Re: Breaking News: FG Suspends National Carrier, Nigeria Air Indefinitely by resurgent2019: 6:50pm On Sep 19, 2018
FemiMaduka:
Should 'suspend' be the right word? From my understanding of the
word, you can only suspend what is in progress (however little).
Nothing tangible was really done about this, save the unveiling of
the name and logo - with the accompanying fanfare.
How long would it take a serious set of people to float an airline?
100 years?
Take a certain Air Peace as an example. This company took off in
2013 (5 years ago), as a strictly private concern. Today, it flies to
about 20 destinations and has a fleet of about 20 aicrafts (mostly
Boeing 737s), and has recently ordered an additional 13 aircrafts (10
of which are NEW Boeing 737 Max 8; they will fly straight in from the
Boeing plant in Renton, Washington D.C.) in an industry where most
airlines actually operate aircrafts on lease, and where aircrafts as old
as 15 years are considered relatively new!
So what excuse does a nation have in not being able to operate a
viable and profitable airline?
Did Buhari not find time to go gallivant in Oshogbo? These guys just
don't know what it takes...our priority scale is warped! So bleeping
warped.
It beats me how the alarm hasn't sounded yet in our heads, even
with the way things have gone.
This is no blind, uninformed criticism. I gave the Air Peace-example
so that we can see that we aren't cursed or shackled, we simply are
not bothered enough. Talk of blissful ignorance.

This is a very concise and informed statement rooted in insight of the aviation industry.

May God continue to replenish your intellectual store.

Father Lord,

I come to you in humility.

May men like the op of this thread never come close to my sisters or female friends.

If they come close may they go blind.

May trailer jam them.

May an aeroplane fall on them.

May the ground open up and swallow them.

Dear Lord, if you want to add your own jara just like you did in the old testament against Pharoah and co, go ahead.

Do this for me Lord and take all the glory.

My brother, it’s not that serious. You wouldn’t understand though. What I expect is your comment or advice not what you posted up there.

Bros the truth is bitter.

Everything we are suffering today in this country, it is as a result of PDP negligence.

16years no credible infrastructure on ground.

Power zero
Roads zero
Rail zero
Security zero

The system was polluted with corrupt people

Just busy looting and looting

At a time Nigeria was among the highest buyer and users of Private jets, just to mention a few. you know that.

Even though I accept that PDP messed up, it doesn’t mean that the APC has to be absolved from all blame. Buhari might mean well but he is not suited for a United and progressive Nigeria. That is my personal opinion oo.

Who is talking about smarts here?

All I am saying is we need to move on. It has been established that the school is a Government school so the principal erred.

What we need is a resolution of the crisis. Ok?

This is not a religious or bigotry issue. The principle erred by suspending them. We are tired of the same old religious acrimony in naija.

Can you just imagine .
Many Nigerians Christians are so intolerant.
This particular school is a Government school . And the said students have been using hijab for two years before the intolerant Christian fanatic principal came to the school

You are a very bad person. We have agreed that the principal did wrong but you keep going about seeking to divide Nigerians. You better get busy.

You don't look ready Bro. You yet to really decide what you want in a woman....Maybe that beautiful soul willing to go through that tough patch with you is the right woman for you but you fail to recognise this cos you want money to chase the slay queens.

Perhaps, It's a necessary condition that you must go through your mistakes and get your hands and heart burnt before you really define what you want in a woman.

It's okay to make mistakes Bro. Which ever choice you make, Will serve your greater good depending on how you perceive the outcomes.

Thanks Bro.

Neither am I fighting you too.
But one thing you should know is, this matter is very clear.
Hijaab was still been used before the coming of this principal, but like a macho spurring for a fight she goes gong ho on students who hitherto have been adorning their hijaab before her coming start throwing fire and brimstone.
If there was fear or security issue before now they would have stopped these girls from wearing their hijaab, but no. Like how you trick people with your lies to spread fear and hate you claim its now a security issue when their was nine in the first place.
If this were the north I would consider your opinion, but abaa magana you know this better than I do that there is little or no security issue here and it is very clear you are the ones creating one.

let's let sleeping dogs lie and let's learn to live together.

We are saying the same thing. The principal was wrong. But on the issue of fear by Christians, I think it is justified and there need not be a security breach before proactive steps are taken to forestall such occurrence or don’t you think so?

Yes, you’re right .
Infact China banned Muslims just recently.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.pulse.ng/communities/religion/religious-persecution-china-bans-christians-from-church-id8143808.html

Apples and oranges. If you think your link disproves what I posited in my post, that’s your business.

I would not go and look for any link to show you that China surveils its muslim population(even though I can do it in a jiffy). You have decided in your mind that muslims are harmless even though you know the truth.

I am just trying to tell the reasons why people are scared. If Muslims had not carried out acts of terror, adherents of other religions won’t be scared of Muslims.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

In the north girls must wear hijab or cover their hair even if they are Christians.

You want people to respect your religion but you don't respect others.

Is that not forceful conversion? Why would Christian girls be forced to wear hijab? Na wa oo.

This is what Christians are scared of but when we complain, we are termed intolerant and bigoted.

Moderation?
What’s your definition of moderation sir?
/Ma?

Non extremism. If there any word like that.

We don’t want Islamic bigots who would constitute a security problem for the country later.

Every serious country takes the surveillance of its Muslim population very seriously given their proclivity to extremism and violence. China is a prime example of a serious country that watched her Muslim citizens.

This is not about hate but National security.

Ogbeni , this is yoruba land.
Any sane person knows the intolerance you Christians exhibit is not because of fear but you’re just insecure.
All my life, there have been no record of Islamic attacks in Yorubaland. So why would anyone say he’s not comfortable with someone else wearing hijab if not out of sheer intolerance.
I know I’m wasting my time responding to your mention . Because I’m not new to this . No matter how much facts I State with series of evidences as back up . You will not yield .
You people tried this nonsense in Osun State last year and failed woefully.

Contrary to what you think, it’s because of security that people are scared of the hijab. However, the court has ruled for Muslims to be allowed to adorn it in public schools. The principal erred in this regard.

No need for expanding the fissures in our society. What we need is tolerance and moderation in the practice of religion.

Wisdom brought you here to seek advise and I hope you will have the wisdom to heed to the advice you receive here.

1) Money can buy you a partner of your choice but it doesn't guarantee you her love.
2) Beauty is vain and it fades.
3) Happy marriages don't just happen it takes a lot of conscious effort and work to make it happen and last.
4) Do not marry out of pity or for the wrong reasons but look for someone you can tolerate.
5) That slay queen you are yearning for might be your downfall.
6) Life is full of uncertainties. That fair weather slay queen you're hoping to marry when the going gets good might not be able to stand by you and give you the moral support you would require from a spouse when the going gets tough.
7) Love is a choice and can happen at anytime. It might not be at first sight (which is often infatuation). If you look closely you might find reasons to love anyone.

Use your tongue to count your teeth before making that decision.

Nice one. Thanks for being civil.
