Shookonekilla: Sorry I am coming back to you, don’t you think the bolded verdict is too harsh for a man who admits being attracted by a bit of physical beauty? I have admitted that I might not have what I takes to pursue that hence my resignation to settling down with what is available and willing. I need advice and not condemnation. Thanks once more and keep’ em coming. |

Shookonekilla: I guess I am only being childish with my vain needs but I still have to get married. I can’t on account of my thought process not get married. And when I advocate that I am scared, it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t treat her right:she would be my wife for Christ sakes! But I might not be as loving as I would want to. Please get this distinction and keep your comments coming. I really appreciate you all.. |

Antina: I understand and that is why I am seeking advise. I am getting to know her better and striving to be content with what fate has brought me. I can’t remain single for long however. I have to make a move before the end of next year (God preserving my life). Please keep them advice and criticism coming. I really appreciate those who have contributed. |

Eberechi24: That’s one thing I would never do: leave my wife for any beautiful woman that didn’t stand by me. I might not express enough love, but I would never leave her. It is my family we are talking about here remember? |
Family / Re: Am I making a mistake? by resurgent2019: 2:03pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
Shookonekilla: Thank you for responding. But you cannot say I shouldn’t marry. Time is running out and I have to get children within the institution of marriage. I know my mindset is a problem but I am between a rock and a hard place here. I have to make a move since the resources to attract the kind of women I like is not there. I can’t be left hanging. Maybe I would learn to love the woman in question. |

Olohunjedalo: I presume you are a Yoruba man given tour name so I can relate with you since I am one too. That being said, the opposition to hijab is not about hate but security and apprehension in minds of non Muslims. I have many Muslims as friends and neighbors but I would not lie that the media hasn’t done a number on the rest of the world with their coverage of Islamic terrorism. We have been inundated with news reports, images and humongous data on the dangers of Islamic terrorism and that fear has stuck ever since. So when Christians see an hijab, what comes to mind is a bomb or a potential lone wolf terrorist. You have to understand that as parents and guardians, non Muslims (esp. Christians) are justified to be terrified by the hijab. It reminds us of Islamic terror in this age of Boko Haram and other terror groups troubling the world. I would say that personally, I would not allow my children to be enrolled in a school where hijabs are allowed. I will continually worry about the safety of my kids since the image the hijab brings to mind is terror. This is not about hate but effects of the news media about Islam. And you would not blame the media since Muslims have at many times signified support for the action of terror groupd who want to force others to practice Islam. But on this issue, the Principal was wrong since it is a Government school which has been ruled must allow interested muslims put on hijab as part of their religious obligation. If it were a private school, it would then be another story all together. I hope I have enlightened you this afternoon? |

Education / Re: Muslim Girls Suspended From Isolo Secondary School Lagos For Wearing Hijab by resurgent2019: 1:40pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
ollah2: Why are you like this? Stop the fighting jareee. We have resolved that the principal was wrong to have suspended them for wearing hijab. Why citing counter terrorism efforts by the Americans to justify your unsubstantiated claims that Christianity supports terror when you know in your heart that is is false? |
Education / Re: Muslim Girls Suspended From Isolo Secondary School Lagos For Wearing Hijab by resurgent2019: 1:38pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
adedehinbo: If the school is a Government school, then the principal has no right to ban them in view of the subsisting Court of Appeal Judgment allowing muslims to adorn their hijab. There is merit in the complaints of the girls. We don’t need to fight about this small issue now. 1 Like |

ollah2: Stop jorrr. I don’t have strength for fight today. If the school is a Government school, the principal has no right to stop the girls from wearing their hijab in light of the subsisting Court of Appeal Judgment. But if it is a private school, the girls ought to abide by the school’s regulations. Enough of the fights. We are not the only country with Muslim citizens abeg. |
Education / Re: Muslim Girls Suspended From Isolo Secondary School Lagos For Wearing Hijab by resurgent2019: 1:30pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
Friend01: Take it easy. Is the school in question a Government or private school? That is the deciding factor in this case. I am really tired fighting against muslims because you people really don’t understand the fears of an average Christian about this hijab issue. I don’t think it’s about intolerance, it’s just about security. |

ollah2: I knew I would find you here. What is the problem this time Is the school a Government or Private School? I am really tired of this fight between Christians and muslims in this country. If it is a private school, the students can always leave the school for another that allows hijab na. |
Family / Am I making a mistake? by resurgent2019: 1:08pm On Sep 19, 2018 |
I live and work in Lagos and I see beautiful women everyday but there is no money, patience nor time to approach let alone marry one but there is this lady I have known for a while who is ready to settle but I do not really think she has the capacity to make me happy in marriage (because I think she’s not my spec). But this lady is the only lady willing to stand by me in this tough moment in my life. I had lived a rough life when things were okay but I never settled but I wanna do it(marriage)now. The issue is that I am scared I am making the wrong choice due to circumstances. But on the flip side, I don’t have the kind of money or patience to deal with the kind of beautiful women I would like to marry. So I am asking married people here for advice on whether I should go ahead or wait to have have the kinda of money it takes to pursue the kinda woman I want. Given the fact that I hate divorce and at the same time wouldn’t want a loveless marriage, I hope I am not about to make a mistake? Please be civil and constructive in making your comments and criticisms. Thanks in advance. |

Education / Re: The 5 Muslim Students Suspended For Wearing Hijab To School In Lagos (Photo) by resurgent2019: 8:56am On Sep 19, 2018 |
Here we go again..... This issue is very simple, the students should be allowed to wear their hijab since there is a subsisting and valid Appeal Court Judgment allowing hijab. I understand the view of the principal as I don’t like the fact that Muslims will want to put on hijab in a school funded with the tax dollars of Christians, Muslims and traditionalists. I personally wouldn’t want my children in a class with any girl putting on hijab, it is a security issue given the actions of terrorists professing Islam but what can we do when the Muslims insist on putting on the head scarf? In the circumstance, I would advice Christian parents who are worried about the safety of their kids to save hard and try and enrol their kids in strictly Christian or secular schools where hijab will be prohibited. That is what I do if I were a parent. For now, muslims are allowed by law to put on their heads scarfs. We should move on to other things and not give that terrorist organization called MURIC the sounding board to espouse their fundamentalist BS! This issue should be resolved fast and not used by bigots to garner sympathy and votes from their base. 57 Likes 3 Shares |

Politics / Re: Poverty And Buhari's Re-election by resurgent2019: 8:55pm On Sep 18, 2018 |
doclatom: No, you are wrong. The people defending this Government now are doing it for one reason:religion. It’s so hard not to see where Buhari is going with his style of leadership. One if not the only reason Nigerians of southern extraction are lucky is that Nigeria is too big for Buhari to accomplish his plans. If he tried it in his 2nd term, a war will break out and the international community will have no choice but to remove him from office. The world can not afford instability in Nigeria because of the spill over effects on the rest of Nigeria. That is the only thing saving Nigerians and that is why almost all the major economic intelligence bodies of the west have given damning reports about Buhari’s second tenure. Even Buhari knows that the West is on to his Islamist antics but he’s still being obstinate. If not for Donald Trump’s eccentricities and his war against the multilateral world order, he would have worked with western allies to formulate a strategy on how to ease out Buhari. But all hope is not lost as the West all know that Buhari will not be good for the stability and progress of Africa. I still believe they would do something about him from now till next year. All these APC shenanigans is still be done in defiance of signals of the west’s aversion to another term for Buhari. Even Buhari and Tinubu know this but they are being stubborn and they think violence from Hausas up north will stop the elites of this world from stopping Buhari’s destructive mission for Nigeria. |

doclatom: It’s not a small issue oo. Capable Nigerians have left a long time ago while millions of Nigerians are still stuck here. When some of us express our hate for Buhari, most people think it out of bigotry or dislike for Islam. But no, it’s not. The man is just an economic destroyer who is lucky to have millions of poor northerners and Muslims behind him. He’s the single most dangerous man on the African continent. |
