​The second coming might just be a hoax. I remember the Jehovah's Witnesses talking about it. Watchtower and chills. Some calculated it to happen in the grand year 2000 and sold their properties. It didn't happen. They realized their mistake and corrected it to 2010—selling their properties again because, of course, they would be going to a place where they wouldn't need gold wristwatches and vanity real estate—still nothing. I hope they've recovered and learned.

​Just look at how you sell yourself for money. See how you sell your votes for bread that isn't even baked to standard. You'd do anything for money and follow anyone with money. When they tell you to jump, you fly. Their words become your law, not because you scrutinized them thoroughly and believe them to be true, but because they're rich and it wouldn't be in your best interest to upset your benefactor.

Time is a container for events. Football matches takes 90 minutes. If possible, 50 goals can be scored inside of that 90 minutes. At this point, we're concerned with the event—the goals itself.

The concept of submitting to time does not exist - time itself decides if you submit or not.
The only thing you have over time is what you choose to do with it.
The people that choose Saturday to wash clothes thereby 'wasting' Monday to Saturday, did not submit to time.
They only made a choice which in your opinion, is a wasteful one.
The woman who is pregnant and according to you "submitted to time" for 9 months has no choice.

So how did thousands of 'dedicated-to-freedom’ addicts manage to relapse in the first place, after all these activities?

The reason is simple: there was no reason.
They did not have a reason to stop.

For years...decades...many people, experts talk about how to be free from addiction, but they fail to understand how humans make decisions, especially one as important as this. What is neglected, although innocently, is that every decision that a human takes must be tied to their freewill in order for the decision and the action that springs from it to be followed through.

Imagine I instruct you to sweep your house daily...??
like, I should sweep my house daily. MY OWN HOUSE. Who the heck are you to tell me to sweep my house...when I was paying house rent, where were you?

That's resistance. Direct instructions to a sovereign human could yield unexpected resistance...for what? Is the goal to yield resistance or to actually be of help to someone?

Now imagine I tell you the importance of a clean house...how free and exciting the air around your house will be to yourself and your visitors. As an aging person, you wouldn't want to breathe polluted air outside on the streets, only to return to where you deem your safe space and still resume the intake of contaminated air. Then I go further to tell you how those insects that disturb you at night—bedbugs, mosquitoes—from actually sleeping well after returning from a busy day at work normally breed in those corners you might have neglected to clean because, 'nobody is looking at that side' lol

That is an example of mental massages to soak someone up in reasons why they should be clean.
But look closely at that story—there is a particular distinction that cannot be missed: I personalized the reason for
cleanliness for that person. If I had told the person the reasons why I WANTED them to be clean, my advice could go into one ear and fly out from the other. I had to make it a case for WHY THEY WOULD WANT TO BE CLEAN by seducing them to see why they'd want it for themselves.
And that the beauty of human selfishness—bad people want good for themselves, same as good people. Even those that inflict terrible harm on themselves in order to feel good—masochists—have to be alive in order to continually inflict harm on themselves. Above all good a person wants for themself, is freedom—the freedom to make a choice. Soo important freedom is that it's the reason humans will never be comfortable being slaves and why slavery or oppression are met with resistance—a collective one at that.

What is your reason to want to stop your masturbation?
Why do you actually want to stop gambling?
Why do you actually want to stop an activity that makes you feel good or have a sense of feeling alive—something that your ordinary life rarely makes you feel?
Do you think your mind will just allow you drop an activity that gives you a form of happiness, all because you're doing cold showers repeatedly or because you're the admin of a WhatsApp ‘Freedom from addiction’ group

You're back to where you started because you haven't found a reason that you strongly believe in to leave your starting point—that's the reason why you keep returning to these addictions even after telling yourself ‘I won't anymore...I'm done…’ over and over and over.
The cold showers, pressups, phone distancing, did not work successfully because they're not hinged on a solid foundation—your reason. They were looking for a reason to hook unto

I'm saying what has been ignored by ordinary people like you and I, and even professionals in the field of addiction.

Ask yourself: Why don't you feel any urge to drink or even taste sniper when you see the bottle lying around?
The cold showers, pressups and other mental exercise you put yourself through in the case of your battle against porn and gambling addiction, why don't you apply it to staying away from drinking sniper?

One who doesn't want to drink sniper, regardless of the taste or flavor, knows that life is sooooo beautiful and enjoyable that they wouldn't want to miss out on the enjoyment. They selfishly want to live long and well, so they don't need to do cold showers, pressups, or distance the sniper from them anytime an urge comes up, if ever
You see how important The Reason is now?

An integration of your reason gives birth to choiceless action from your end. It's just like the action a mother takes when she finds her child crawling on an express—for whatever reason. Lol. She doesn't think—should I save my child or not?
There's no choice. There's no too much thinking or any mental friction. It's a choiceless choice.

Now, that might have opened you up to a realization, but I'll still go deeper.

Why do you think that there are some masturbation addicts who likes to jerk off to people having sex in their phone screen BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON, do not want to go to a brothel to pay a woman for sex—the same sex that they're watching other people have in their phone screen?!

Isn't it sex they're after?
Or…?
Or do they think that they're actually addicted to sex?

If they could actually hold themself back from visiting a brothel to have the sex that they think they're addicted to, then what makes them think they can't hold themself from quitting porn—after all, what makes them think they aren't disciplined in that aspect? They've shown discipline before, haven't they?

Do you see it now: every of our actions—EVERY of our actions are backed up by reasons we conjure and latch onto—either the actions backed up by emotions or by logic—there's a reason behind them, even the ordinary ones. The man who beats his wife as a means to correct her has a reason…the father who refuses to use violence to correct his children also has his reasons…the girl who makes you go through an STI test before she has sex with you also has a reason…the one who smokes a particular brand of cigarettes over another—reason. reason…reason…reason.

But ‘Reason’ is a broad word. You could look up reason to end your gambling or masturbation on google and you'll be shown millions of them.
Which applies to you? Which speaks to the core of your being?

Does Google understand the reality you're trying to run away from with your addiction(s)?
Does Google understand why you became addicted in the first place for it to think it's an authority to dictate solutions to you?
Who is that pastor to tell you that masturbation is a sin? He's married to a busty wife and also has a nice job—that's why he can take naw…see his mouth move on the podium…yhen yhen yhen.
Who is even science to tell you that smoking causes cancer? Oyimbo this, oyimbo that…
Some read that smoking is bad because it causes lung cancer. They feel remorse for a while for their lungs and after day 3, they tell themselves, “after all, everybody will die…”—reason, and they're back. Or they start looking for healthy alternatives of cigarettes, hoping it doesn't give them lung cancer by thoroughly rejecting to research if these healthy alternatives can actually harm them. They tell themselves ‘Oyimbo doesn't understand the true beauty of African medicine. Igbo is healthy’—reason. Hahahahaha.

Google, religion, science, your parents cannot give you precise reasons to want to stop your addiction, and this is because of the uniqueness of your struggles and why you became addicted in the first place, compared to another person.
This is why the reason you choose to want to be free from your addiction has to be personalized and soo soo selfish, because it tells your being that you're making a conscious choice for yourselves and not being impressed upon by someone against your freewill.
Your reasons could coincide with what science and religion teach—but you have to be selfish enough to strongly believe and adopt it for yourself, lest you fall or relapse.

I'll tell you the story of a friend's Dad. This incident happened when he was still a child. He said his daddy was a heavy drinker and womaniser. That one day, his dad came back home from work and found him—my friend, and his elder brother—unknown to them—mimicking the dad when he's heavily drunk. You know those children play. They were behaving high on drunkenness and saying the things their father used to say when he's drunk…staggering like him, and making the sleepy eyes of a heavy drunk about to collapse.
That scene alone broke the father heart. He had to sit and ask himself as a father what reality he's exposing his children directly to. Now this father is a senior pastor of a popular church—so disciplined ehn…and now, he takes caffeine instead of alcohol. He found his reason to change.

The reason FIRST—the magnitude or strength of belief in the reason you choose to not walk a path is KEY. THAT IS THE KEY. Do you really believe what you believe in?

Other understanding follows, depending on subjective experiences, like why you got addicted in the first place, the truth of what you're using addiction to replace, healthy alternatives, etc, but the reason is first. Find your reason—that unshakable reason that speaks to you. Then other mental and physical exercise follows.

In the factory where I work, 3 of my coworkers were attacked at pencinema, agege, at different days.
It is said that one is in the hospital as I type this. Who'll handle the hospital bill? Employee HMO?? HAHAHAHA...HMO of how much!!!? For a factory worker!

The one that managed to run when he was overtaken BY 7 MEN—3 first, then 4 in background who only showed up later—managed to escape with a hot slap, broken Android phone screen—a 200k+ phone which still has a debt of 20k and was the target of these thieves, and bruises on his body which made him take an absent from work...all because of what!!!!!!!?
People, with functional hands and legs —body parts, choose to rob instead of looking for esteemed jobs.
Imagine the death of conscience to actually stab someone and collect their property... arrrgghhh

Funny part is, this my friend that narrated the story to me as it happened to me, also said that people were watching BUT COULDN'T DO ANYTHING!

Baby girl, If passing him that lighter keeps breaking your heart, why then do you keep doing it?

When you as a girlfriend enables your partner’s destructive habits—smoking, just to prove your loyalty at your expense, you aren't giving him love. In your confusion, you are actually participating in his harm—and betraying yourself in the process, by harming the person you claim to love.

It is like seeing a street dog infested with ticks and lice. You might feel immense affection for the animal, but would you cuddle it and risk infecting yourself just to prove your affection?
If you do, you end up sick, spending thousands on treatments, and eventually growing resentful of the very creature you claimed to love. Lol
A lack of boundaries isn't love. Long-term love happens with wisdom and loving with wisdom means recognizing that you cannot pour from an empty or ‘infected’ cup.

Why?
Because if I yield to guilt and buy the sugar, I become an accomplice to her decline. And if she chooses to exercise her own free will to go buy it anyway, that is her choice. Loving my mother and honoring my duty to care for her in her old age does not mean treating her like a prisoner, nor does it mean allowing her choices to control my integrity.

True love requires you to establish boundaries with yourself first. First, love yourself. First, help yourself. You cannot give what you do not possess, neither can you pour water into a basket. You'd only waste your precious time.
If you haven’t cultivated self-love, how can you offer genuine love to anyone else? And why expect someone who doesn’t love themselves to know how to love you?
