Hi, please in my profile i stated completion of degree to be April, 2011 and date of employment of my job to be July, 2012. I already have ITA and discovered i had left a gap between april 2011 - july, 2012. This was my nysc period. My question is, how do i correct this mistake? Can i still add nysc details after ITA or the gap doesn't mean anything. Thanks |

And finally ITA recieved1st March, 2017 CRS score 435. Thank you to everyone here who has been helpful and encouraging. To those expecting, your ITA will come sooner than you expect. To those preparing for IELTS, be determined you can make band 9. Another stage in the race for PR, God help us all. |

I have a question. Please if I get nomination from Ontario and I get married after ITA, can I still add my wife's details to my application considering the fact that am on provincial nominee certificate. |

boldinc: I will advise you withdraw that profile and create a new one... You will definitely get an NOI if your score is above 400... What is your score though, you might just be in line for an ITA. Share... @boldinc, thanks alot for being there. I withdrew my EE profile on the 22nd filled and submitted a new one same day and 23rd i got NOI from Ontario. You have been very helpful. Now i have 45days to make use of this opportunity. I think its worth the try since CRS is 435. |

@Gimme, Thanks man. You did justice to my question. I was thinking with PNP it could be faster. So i have to leave this fixed deposit for almost 9months if going through SINP. Wow Gymme: The estimated time depends on which category of the province's PNP you applied under (paper based or Express entry). If EE, it's usually 6 months or less but if paper-based, it's about 15 months (not sure cos it changes).
After getting PNP certificate, single After ITA, still single Before submitting/completing PR application, status changes... YES you can apply as married BUT when you include your partner in your application, your score/point will reduce. But not to worry, since it is PNP and you got 600 more points, your point may not fall below the cut-off point used to get your ITA. |

Please, I am considering the PNP option considering these recent draws. If i get a PNP certificate, whats the estimated time for processing before PR issued?
Also, i am planning to apply for PNP as a bachelor. If i get married after PNP Cerficate is issued, can i update my profile after ITA and apply as married? |

JesusDWay: Liquid cash in bank account or investment is what SINP accepts, they wont accept valuation of your property. Even Pension statement is mostly rejected so, you need to find a way of getting the cash, not forgetting the requirement that the funds equivalent to what is required for your family size must be 3months old as at the time you apply and must not have history that it diminished during the period. Also note that they use exchange rate for the date of application and as exchange rate for now is fluctuating, you may want to have buffer to accommodate any unforeseen spike in exchange rate at the time you will apply @JesusDway, thanks alot. The exchange rate is a battle God will have to fight for all Nigerians oooo. So unpredictable. Na to look for who go buy land remain. Thanks |

Tiwalope: This does not have to be cash. .....documents to show proof is also accepted. So long you have cash at point of entry

@papaking1 Thanks so much for your insightful response. I am looking to apply for Sask PNP and their POF requirment does not include documents that show property. I have landed property worth enough for my POF. How can i go about this? Cash at the point of entry isn't a problem. Thanks |

NZ is indeed a realizable dream especially since POF is not yet compulsory but the major issue is getting a job from outside NZ. This is where i think we should concentrate our effort. Am still researching and i think we should be on the look out for any Nigerian in NZ who can provide a link or useful info on getting a job. For those of us not on the skill shortage or future direction of labour, we really need the help.
@ hartson, thanks for the NZ job website. |

I am following you and hoping for feedback on the New Zealand Shores Limited. I think the £2,500.00 is much oo but if they deliver, i think its worth it. Please provide feedback as soon as you are making progress. Etfash: Hello guys. New Zealand Shores Limited, Immigration consultants located in New Zealand, offers 100% money back guarantee if somebody they represent is denied visa. I took out time to conduct underground research into the claim and found out they do.
They advise against the use of Recruitment agencies because: I) Recruitment agencies apply for jobs mainly with the companies who are their clients. That limits the number of companies available to one. 2) Rec. Agencies charge employers a fortune, could be as high as NZ$10,000.00. This in itself makes many companies unwilling, making the recruitment of foreign personnels problematic.
They, Immigration New Zealand, interface between migrants and employers at no extra cost.
Caveat: It costs about,£2,500.00 in all. I got this info. somewhere. They have not told me the total cost yet. Perhaps, they want me to show some level of commitment by paying an initial NZ$87.00 charge for a detailed, personalized assessment. This fees would be deducted from the total cost later.
What do you guys think? |

Your breakdown on POF is very enlightening. Thanks for taking out time to explain in detail. 1. How is lump sum defined. Will 500k count as lump sum? 2. Which banks offer the letter and which banks do not? I think those with experience should share so we can know the bank to build for POF. I have a diamond bank account and a GT bank account. dupyshoo: With regard to proof of funds, This is what IRCC requires as POF
"If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:
list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months, list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans, be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address)."
From the statement above, my understanding is that for each of one's account, IRCC wants the account number, the account opening date, the current balance on the account and the average balance of the account for the past 6 months. So a letter showing these information will be adequate.
IRCC never stated specifically that the money should be there for 6 months but that the money should be there as at the time you are submitting your application. Therefore, they won't reject your application if it is not there for the whole 6 months. However, they don't want you to borrow the money, so any large lump sums deposited in your account within the 6 months will have to be explained. IRCC demands for 6 months average balance. if the average balance is over 20-25% different from your current balance, then they might be suspicious that you deposited a large sum within the 6 month. A gradual build up of the POF is okay. A good example is if you need to show $12k and you had $7.5k in month 1, $9k in month 2, $10.5k in month 3, $11.5k in month 4, $12.5k + in month 5 and 6 . The average balance for the 6 months is about $10.6k, so it is okay.
Please note that how the average balance is calculated varies bank by bank. Some bank will sum all the daily balances over the past 6 months and divide it by the total no of days (say 180 days), some will take the balances at the last day of each month, sum it up and divide by 6, while some will provide average balances per month (that is you will have 6 different average balances, one for each month). My bank actually used the last scenario I gave.
You can see that based on the info my bank gave me, any large deposits that sat in my account for too long will increase the average balance for that month. So, it will require me to provide an explanation on the source of the large deposits. However, if my bank had provided only 1 figure of average balance instead of 6 different figures, it might not have been so obvious.
Some bank will even refuse to provide the letter. In that situation, you will be forced to provide your bank statements which will lead to a more detailed scrutiny of the outflows and inflows in your account.
I hope you understand the explanations I gave. |

One more thing am yet to understand about Fixed Deposit as POF.
I can't afford to put $15,143 (N4,600,000) in fixed deposit for six months. Can I just fix it for three or two months and get the certificate? Will the number of months be on the certificate or does CIC contact the bank for verification? Please this money issue is a big headache as am not that buoyant financially. |
