A friend of mine said sometimes he will miss his two lessons because of unproductive meeting here and there. And once you miss a day, it will be difficult for you to make up for that day because the child is always occupy with other teachers.

When I was at Lekki, once there is meeting teachers will begin to frown their faces like this people don start with their useless meeting.


This issue of everyday meeting is mostly done on the island whether big school or not.


Some thing I like about teaching in all these big schools is connection. My brother in law works in Lekki and had the opportunity to teach Oduah's children [former minister of aviation]. His pay was 100k and above, depending on how he came in a month.
Though it was stressful because the traffic from Lekki to VGC was something else. But he made his dou, rented a flat, got married , bought a car in less than 2 years in teaching in Lekki.

My first teaching job after graduation in 2011, was at a school in Ilufe-Alaba. I was paid 13k.

A friend of mine is still there, her salary is still 20k. She started in early 2010.

Ojo Alaba Sabo Ajangbadi, can pay 20k-25k. It also depends on the school. Schools like Meritha, Mother love should be able to pay 30k.

But most schools pay as low as 15k - 18k.

Their salary range 100k-120k. She doesn't increase salary, if you like stay there for 5 years. So try as much as possible not to go below that.

She uses her staff like hmmmmmmmmmm, no holiday even after your wedding ceremony, you must come to work.

She likes to sack during this long break so as not to pay August and September salary.


You must score 80% in the test before you are interviewed . They use purely British curriculum.

Is it the secondary school you applied to?

Are you IGCSE certified? If no, na 70k them go price you.

Bros no vex, the person might not mean it the way you took it. As a professional teacher, you can't settle for less.

For a growing teacher, 30k is very ok especially when you are in Lagos mainland. I.e, Okokomaiko, Ajangbadi, Igando, Shibiri, Volks, Ikorodu, ipaja and their junior brothers.

Some might be wondering why you are bothering yourself after getting a pay as high as that.

How do they want someone to remember?

The last tym i checked, they had two cleaners and one security personnel. Wz told the principal initiated it.

Most principals do this as eyes services. If he was a teacher, will he accept to do.?

oh...private classes..u jst won't av the tym of course except when its done for free. Even at that the school closes by 4pm (that's if the chairman hasn't called for any meeting. If he does, u need to thank God if u leave by 5pm) so ultimately, based on the time plan u won't jst have such time for private practice.
When some teachers are nt on ground and u av to stand in...u myt be on 6 periods or more daily depending on the subject.
I don't knw if they've stopped this act...teachers on duty fir the week are in charge of locking up all doors, arranging students chairs in classroom and locking of all windows.

Why do some babies behave this way, i tried all my best to spoon feed my baby his cereal but to no avail,he wont just take it and if i manage to force it to his mouth he would spit it out and everywhere messed up. sincerely am fed up and the funny thing is that he takes it with bottle feeding. Pls hope there is no disadvantages or side effect in bottle feeding cereal to babies? He is 6months plus.

My baby is 9 months and also refused to be spoon fed. Mine will even collect the spoon from me and throw it on the floor or hold it tight.

Some people say the only disadvantage is that the baby will suck feeder up to 2 years.
Dont know whether it's true.

Crestview is a primary school. They did interview last week Thursday for female teachers.

You can check Mandate school @ [along Lasu - Igando Road that place you have CCECC company, that's the bus stop] As at 2012, a friend of mine was collecting 35k.

Check Prime touch school @ before you get to Lasu - Igando bridge, May be Obadore bus stop.

I saw this on a paper pasted on a wall, English and Physics teacher wanted and primary school teacher.

Call this number 08167454129. The school is located at Lanre bus stop. Isheri Road. I don't think the school can pay 30k.
