larryUG: Baba, I spent close to a million for my baby stuff. What you need to understand is that baby things are generally very costly. Secondly, escalation has taken a toll on the prices of things . It seems a lot of people have not taken into account the effect of the naira losing value in the economy I gave my wife 350K initially but she bought wasnt substantial. She added her money and i gave her additional. BEd alone is 170k-200k depending on the quality. Breast pump (for when your baby my not have the mum around) is 50k in the market. just these 2 items have taken 220-250K out of your 400K. now talk about feeding bottles, diapers, clothes (there are several types your baby will need), Powder/soaps, baby oils, shoes, other stuff, wardrobe alone for kids na 120K. Haba Baby things are expensive, no doubt If the money is there, no problems, People that don't have money, spend less than 150k. There are cheap baby clothes to buy Normal net bed for baby 4k in 2021 patapata 10k now Baby cabinet, last time I bought was 17k in 2022. Patapata 30k now Baby bath 7k in 2021 Patapata 20k She knows her husband finance, that's why she is demanding for more money |

They should pack them all. Very selfish market women
They will display their wares on the walkway, even when the road is under construction and expect you to walk on red muddy road.
The other day, my son's school bag hit and broke a woman's bottle she put on the gutter that serves as walkway. I was expecting her to tell me to pay. |

remiopash: The time between her marriage and the visa application was short. The visa officer suspected a fraud (mariage for visa) .She should have waited for atleast two years after the marriage before applying for the visa , and the husband should have visited her once (in Nigeria)at least once after the marriage before applying. There should be evidence of communication e.g whatsapp messages e.t.c.
As it is now, they need to have a child before the consular will believe them that the marriage is genuine. |

NiceLegs: Hello everyone.
Please I need you inputs on this.
My Uncle who is a Citizen in USA filed to bring his wife in Nigeria whom he married in 2020 to the United States in that same year 2020.
Luckily after a very long wait time, the USA Embassy in Nigeria called the wife for interview after 2 years in the year 2022.
She went for the interview and was not given the Spousal visa or Green card or whatever they call it
They told her to get more evidence of their marriage as the Visa Officers were not convinced they were married.
Experienced USA migration experts, what can she do? Let her get pregnant and give birth, so that the child can be a citizen. Let her get enough call records from WhatsApp to show they have been communicating Let her get pictures of the wedding and other pictures of them with other family members. |

Those kind thing don't bother me but it's good to tell a family member you trust so well.
Some 12 years back, a young guy in my street was building a house at Agbara, he bought sand and followed the tipper. Tipper collided with a truck both driver and this young guy died. But the driver's boy made it alive.
If not for that boy, the wife did not know the husband was building a house. It was the boy that showed them the land. |
