nenergy: Tablets are the latest fad in the smart devices market in Nigeria. Nigerians are abandoning their 3.5 inch – 5.0inch devices for tablets. The tablet is meant to close the gap between mobile phones and computers. Sadly Nigerians owned tablets are not closing any gap, if not widen it sef. How do i mean? Nigerians are Underutilizing their tablets. I am not beefing, but observation suggests that Nigerians use their tablets only for the following:
1. Taking pictures at functions (very embarrassing). 2. Playing Candy crush 3. And watching movies.
Aside from Pastors, lecturers and ICT professionals, most tablet users are just carrying their tablets (device that has 100,000,000 times the power of the computer that was used to land man on the moon) without unlocking its full potentials. I lie? other things they do with their tablets are: 4. Facebooking 5.Twittering( In a negative way most times though) 6. Taking Selfies 7. Listening to Music |

franciskaine: that's the secret not meant for me and you now, only the ogas @ the top know this. I believe the judgment is based on the report of the General who was moved immediately after the mutiny. Why wasn't he summoned to the GCM? Thats why military trials in this country are kangaroo trials. |

franciskaine: Fifty-four of the 59 soldiers standing trial for mutiny and conspiracy to commit mutiny have bagged the death sentence. They are to face the firing squad having been found guilty of the offences.
The General Court Martial, which has been sitting since October, however, discharged and acquitted five of the soldiers.
Delivering the judgment at the Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja Wednesday night, chairman of the GCM, Major General Musa Yusuf, said the soldiers reserved the right to appeal the verdict at a higher authority.
The 59 soldiers were among the troops engaged in counter insurgency operations in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, where the Boko Haram insurgents have taken over a number of Nigerian towns and villages in Northeastern Nigeria.
The soldiers were accused of refusing lawful orders to fight, an offence the military authorities described as conspiracy and mutiny.
The first batch of soldiers that were tried for mutiny also bagged the death sentence for shooting at their commanding officer. The verdict is being appealed by their lawyers.
All the 59 soldiers had pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them by the General Court Martial during the trial.

idris93: Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has threatened to attack the Emir of Kano, Muhummadu Sanusi II, in retaliation for the Emir’s call on Kano residents and other Nigerians to arm and defend themselves against the terror organization.
In a new video released weekend, Mr. Shekau said his group does not consider Mr. Sanusi a true Muslim, and will attack him whenever an opportunity presents itself.
The Emir had earlier issued a call to arms after a series of deadly attacks by suspected Boko Haram militants in Kano.
Speaking at Kano’s central Mosque in October, the Emir charged the people of Kano to arm and defend themselves against the sect, which is responsible for more than 13,000 deaths.
Militants later launched a deadly assault on the Mosque on Friday, November 28, detonating multiple bombs and shooting worshippers to death. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/173429-boko-haram-leader-shekau-releases-new-video-vows-attack-emir-sanusi-kano.html These morons again. |

We've seen situations where cement sold for 1500 and above in nigeria is being sold in other countrys in w.africa for 600 yu get it now Realise the problems these industrialists go through before they get the product to the average Nigerian. The largest cost centre in their operations is energy costs, which is eventually passed on to me and you. How many industries are the West Africa Region compared to what is obtainable in Nigeria? |

koife: I have noticed with a bit of pains that prayer works on people and not me!
I have had the opportunity to pray and intercede for people and it comes out positive, but one surprising fact is that I hardly get answers when I pray for myself...
It all started during my degree years; I will teach and even help people during examination but often time their result comes out better than mine.
Fast forward to 2days ago. I prayed for someone who was koboless, to have a surprise gift to the tune of hundred of thousands for a project she scrambled for. Less than 56 hours later, she got it.
I personally dropped someone's CV to be considered for bank job and less than 20hours letter the person received a call for interview.
And today I prayed and my kid sis was given a visa....where as I have tried severally without succeeding.
This, amongst other bizzare experiences have become a cause for concern.
Matured advice only please! Let someone else with higher spiritual powers intercede on your behalf. |

Crime › Re: What Is Wrong With Our Police? by rhames(m): 7:21pm On Dec 16, 2014 |
wildguy: Two days ago, on my way home from work around 9pm, I was stopped by some police men for carrying a laptop. The mistake I made was I did not have the receipt and my ID on me. They put me in a danfo bus and headed to their station. On the way they picked up anybody they saw that had a bag on them. There was even a guy that had a laptop with him with his ID card and receipt that they picked "cause he was walking around with a laptop alone". They seized all our phones till we got to the police station.
When we got to the police station they separated those of us that had laptops from those that didn't. All of us with laptops were branded yahoo boys. They told us to turn on our systems so they can analyse what was on the system. When I switched on my own they saw visual studio with codes and sql server open (I am a developer) and they concluded that that was the software that I use in scamming my clients. After punching and slapping me for not telling them the truth of how I do my operation (they opened my yahoomail account and saw nothing that suggested that I was a yahoo guy), they packed my bag with my laptop and locked me in a cell(there were about 20 guys in the cell). They allowed me to make some calls before they locked me up.
My folks later came to bail me out around 2 in the morning and can you imagine that after collecting money for bail they asked for money from me to collect my belongings that was with them (They said I had to pay for the fuel money)
I got home and I was thinking
a. Are we saying that someone with a laptop cannot work around with it, even if the person has a receipt and an ID card? b. How many people have they kept in the cell without any just reason or just cause "they were walking alone"? c. Is there no agency that punishes law enforcers for abusing their power? d. What training do the officers go through for them to separate a developer, photo editor, graphics designer from a yahoo guy? e. How do we want to develop ourselves in the field of ICT when everybody that carries a laptop is called a yahoo guy? This is where most Nigerians got it wrong. Whenever you are in police trouble. Don't be afraid to engage a lawyer , especially a human rights lawyer in as much as you did not commit any crime. We as citizens have always been giving the Nigerian Police Force a free ride for a long time and if you do not make an example of one of them, the rest will not desist from repeating the same thing. Four crimes happened to you and you suffered it in the hands of the police who are expected to be your protection of last resort: 1. Kidnapping 2. Extortion 3.Illegal torture and 4. Denial/Abuse of your fundamental human rights. A policeman with no sufficient grounds of accusing you of a crime can be tried and sued in his own name separately from a suit you will sue the police force itself. Dont fret. Do the right thing as we are no longer under military rule. Its not too late. |
