If there were substitutes the price of the finished product cement will not increase.

Cement production involves mining with heavy equipment that can only be imported as well as it's spare parts and paid for in dollars,those responsible for repairs are also expatriates who will not be paid in naira, add cost of diesel for running the factory at over 1000 naira per liter as well as importing gypsum and others then you will understand. Pay a visit to the quarry of any cement manufacturer then you will understand cement production is capital intensive.

I just remembered what a younger colleague of mine in the US told me.
When he was traveling to the US years back, he was delayed at the airport by US immigration.
They were interrogating him and some others.
For more than one hour he was delayed. The person waiting to pick him up was worried too as she waited.

He said, one of the interrogating officers asked for his phone and he instantly gave it to him.
He said the first place the guy went to was his browsing history.

"Why did you have to Google AK/47?" The guy asked.

He said when he heard the question he smiled and the guy was surprised.

Send her away. Stop taking responsibility that's not yours. She will leave you when you no longer have. Give that money to your parents or place your family members on salary each month and see the kind of miracle that will happen through their prayers. Leave this yansh alone and let her find another person to sink or bring down. You have no future with her.

I will be graduating in a couple of months..
I studied electrical engineering at a federal university.

While in school, I was fortunate to have saved up about 2.7 million naira having engaged in some online side hustle with a small skill I learnt..but I can't depend on this skill for survival as the incomes are not steady at all.

My mom is about to retire .my dad who lives separately is no longer interested in my care and doesn't want me around as soon as I am done studying.

This means I am literally on my own.
What advice can you give to a me in order to start life and sustain my self.

I once thought of buying a used corolla to begin Uber/bolt.. I also don't have any planned business in mind

An Igbo linguist has begun translating a physics textbook into the Igbo language.

The man, Maazi Ogbonnaya Okoro, stated on social media that the work would be completed in 2024.

He stated that once he finished translating physics into Igbo, he would start working on chemistry and biology.

NATO expansions to the East was discussed and the Russians were given Assurances on three occasions that there will be no Expansion eastwards of NATO. The whole story about NATO is to see the downfall of Russia in order for them to lay their hands on its natural resources. It's not about keeping peace. We saw that in Libya and we know how it ended.

When you relegate Russia to only Putin, you may not see the real picture. The real picture is Russia will be encircled and it's economy stiffled to capitulation because some very greedy countries wants it's resources for free.

The other picture is forty percent of Ukrainians especially to the East of Russia, Donbass and Other surrounding countries are Russian by heritage and are bound by the language.
