The age of the leader does noy matter but what he will offer. If Gov peter Obi says we should not vote any leader above 70 years old, have the leaders below 50 or that age as per GEJ and his ilk made the country better? Your age does not matter but what you will offer the people when you get there.

Politics › Re: Obasanjo, Buhari Planning Interim Govt —FG by rhames(m): 5:46pm On Dec 30, 2014
Sharksblow:
The Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, on Monday, said a plot by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to form an interim government has been uncovered.

The minister said this in Lagos at the launch of a book titled, ‘Watch the Watcher,’ written by an activist, Yinka Odumakin, in reaction to Obasanjo’s controversial book, ‘My Watch’.

Adesiyan said he had already directed the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba; and the Department of State Service to arrest anybody that made inflammatory statements ahead of the 2015 elections.

He said, “Many of those in the APC are disgruntled PDP members who are no longer relevant and because they could not have their way, they have started to heat up the polity. They have said they will form a parallel government if they lose.

“I have already told the IG and the DSS to arrest anybody making such mutinous and inflammatory statements.”

Adesiyan said his suspicion was fuelled by a threat by the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, that the APC would form a parallel government if the 2015 general elections were rigged.

He added, “Obasanjo is already planning to install an interim government with Buhari. But we will vote and we will work with whoever wins the election.”

Adesiyan, who was detained in 2003 for the murder of the Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, said the former President was vindictive and was fighting Jonathan because he (Jonathan) had refused to be used by him.

The minister, who was later freed over Ige’s murder, said Obasanjo picked Jonathan as the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s running mate because he felt he could control him but his plans backfired.

The minister said, “He picked a President that was sick and while we were campaigning for the President, he (Yar’Adua) was always in Germany receiving treatment. While many were lobbying for the VP slot, Obasanjo picked a gentleman, Goodluck Jonathan, who had no strong political base so that he could control him.

“Unfortunately for Obasanjo, God had a better plan and Jonathan refused to be used. Obasanjo, being the man that he is, has now teamed up with Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar to snatch power but Tinubu will outsmart him because we Osun people are smart. Ask Tinubu, he is my brother, from my state. He is from Iragbiji while I am from Ode-Omu.”

The Director of Communications, Buhari Campaign Organisations, Dele Alake, said it was silly for anyone to say that Buhari was plotting the emergence of an interim government when Buhari was also participating in the presidential election.

He said, “It must have dawned on Nigerians that the PDP don’t have any answer to the multifarious problems plaguing Nigeria and that is why they have resorted to mudslinging and character assassination.

“If Buhari was planning an interim government, why would he be running for President in the first place? I think sanity has taken leave from them.

“Buhari remains the only viable solution to the quagmire that Nigeria has fallen into and it will take a disciplined person like Buhari to straighten things out.”

When contacted, a source close to Obasanjo, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said it was only the ex-president that could react to the allegation.

The source told our correspondent on the telephone, “It is only Baba that can react to the matter.”

The hype about Buhari is his past records.
This too is part of it.

And "progressives", before you shout "propaganda", please put a call to your vision-less, clueless, myopic and bigotic messiah and ask him why he canceled it.

To all real Progressives, please keep the light burning!
Keep educating th gullible.
Victory is assured.
Let us consolidate the powerful gains of the las four years.

And please, don't get into any fight with any "progressive".

It is pointless, arguing with the blind about the colour of an electric bulb.
Cheers to all.
Before Ms Jumoke Akinjide starts spitting fire and brimestones from her mouth, let her be reminded that her father presided Chief Richard Akinjide, was part and parcel of the very people who brought this country on its knees since 1983. He was a frontline NPN member and legal adviser whose influence on the infamous 12 two third ruling of the Supreme Court in the 1983 elections and also clamoured for the Military to take over which brought Buhari to power. So shut your mandigus, madame. Your father was and is part of those who created Nigeria' current problem. Some Nigerians dont forget easily.

i have continually pointed out that the greatest threat to our nation's well being, is not even boko haram, but the unrepented madness of our leaders in continually regarding d United States of Torture as an ally and partner.

i wont go into details because, ur analysis rightly fills d scenario of d discourse.

Constrition twines me like a snake each time i c our leaders running to the 'second son of satan' (for Cain was d first) for help, even when such help never materialize, and still keep bragging abt it.

our leaders are so myopic that they cant even differentiate between sign languages and body rhetorics, not to mention identifying and understanding d enemy even when d hand writing that is now on d wall is ten times clearer and pronounced than the one before king belshezzer,

why?
for durin g the Nigerian civl war, the americans refuse to sell wepons to us. Rather, they, through the notorious french mecenaries, covertly aided the biafran army, all to ensure the brakeup of the nation, which, like u rightly mention, has long been a feature of US strategy in Africa and else where.

The CIA strategy was to divide and conquer. it succeeded in Sudan.. Libya today is a mess. and Nigeria is d next on d agenda of the imperial empire of death.

yet our political fools cum leaders seemed ignorant of this naked reality.

They refuse to give us ebola vaccine for no reasons, yet the dead brains in Aso rock still went to them for military weapons to deal with boko haram, when every reasonable person knows that the creator of terrorism is the US. And of course, they refuse to sell to us.

yet our leaders cant c d hand writing.

and now this import cut.

And believe u me, the retards in Aso Rock would keep going back to the one that is ochestrating its destruction.

But God is watching....
Even without being told, one will see that their economic hit men in government, the Bretton Woods trained ministers and advisers have returned the country to a path of debt in billions of dollars. Yet they still tell us that Nigerian economy which has not employed up to a million Nigerians has rapidly grown on paper without concrete evidence of one completed project fom power to railways. grin

Christianity Etc › Re: Living Faith Church Has Six Million Members Across 147 Countries – Oyedepo by rhames(m): 1:50pm On Dec 28, 2014
Fertilenigeria:
The President of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, says the ministry has six million members in 147 nations across the world.

Oyedepo made the disclosure on Saturday at a breakfast meeting with members of Omu-Aran Government Secondary School Old Boys Association (OGSSOBA) at the Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara.

Oyedepo, the Chancellor of Landmark and Covenant Universities and also a member of OGSSOBA, said that the figure was ascertained at the recent convention of the church.

He advised members of old boys association to rededicate themselves to arresting infrastructure decay in all colleges and institutions across the length and breadth of the country.

Oyedepo said the task of improving the facilities in schools had gone beyond the sole responsibility of government, urging the old boys to be partners in progress.

“No amount is too small or too big toward the growth, progress and development of the schools,” he said.
Mr Segun Adeniyi, the newly elected president of the association, described Oyedepo as a living legend of the nation’s education sector.
He said that Oyedepo remained a role model to both the current and old students of Government Secondary School in Omu-Aran.

Adeniyi appealed to all members of the association to identify with the aspiration of the school in order to make it a model among its peers.

He commended the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Jibril Haruna, for successfully organising the election and giving the association a new constitution.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeniyi was elected the new president at the association’s annual general meeting held at the school’s “Hall of Fame” in Omu-Aran on Friday.

Haruna, who is the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology in Kwara, said he was grateful for the opportunity given to him to serve.

He also pledged total support to the new executive members which he urged to fully commence preparation for the celebration of the association’s 50th anniversary coming up on May, 2017.

Among the newly elected officers are Otunba Jide Adebayo of NAN as 1st National Vice President, Alhaji Bode Durotoye, 2nd National Vice President, Remi Afolayan, National Secretary-General and Mr Kayode Mathew, the Group News Editor, Vanguard Newspapers as Public Relations Officer.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Why We Stopped Buying Nigeria’s Oil, By White House by rhames(m): 1:38pm On Dec 28, 2014
Under Barrack Obama, everything concerning Nigeria has always had political connotations not only oil. The US Government and their attack dogs the CIA have already enacted a scenario which is more than ten years old to break Nigeria up before or by 2015. Energy Security, which they have almost fully achieved in order to cut or completely ban oil imports is one strategy. In furtherance to this, the US Government wanted a military base in Africa to which the powers on the continent and anti colonialist and nationalistic elements in some countries like Nigeria, South Africa and a host of others resisted dearly during OBJ regime. Apart from the Nigeria civil war,no military or civil confrontation has shaken Nigeria to its roots like Boko Haram. Unlike others, BH is an offshoot of Al Qaeeda and its international connections has sustained it this long. Its refusal to sell arms to Nigeria was part of a carefully planned strategy to weaken Nigeria politically economically and militarilly. The US has never won a war in Africa without Nigeria's contribution and they have always ended up being the larger beneficiary. Sierra Leone, Liberia, Somalia, South Sudan and any other crisis point on the continent. The only way to deal with this situation is to bring problems to Nigeria. When the Nigerian Government sought US help to set up a base in the country to help monitor and advise on how to deal with BH crisis, it refused and opted to set up a base in Tchad. Since setting up that base, BH attacks on Nigeria soil has intensifed. TChad is currently peaceful and every neighbor surrounding it are now very suspicious. There has been no Boko Haram attacks in Tchad. Instead, loot from BH activities in NIgeria, Cameroon, Niger have found a new destination there as per Nigeria Ambassador. The 2015 elections is a very decisive elections as armed groups particularly in the Niger DElta have vowed to break up the Country( as they are wont to do i.e Asari Dokubo) if Pres.GEJ is not re elected to office. Another very bad scenario is we as crude oil producers are now heavy importers with the bulk of the refined products coming in from US refiners. What happens if they suddenly decide overnight to stop shipping refined oil to Nigeria.

We do not blame the US alone but our own leaders whose orientation is to always wait for crisis before they seek for or solve that problem. No government since Independence has ever thought of expanding the refineries beyond the current capacity they met it. The refineries are operating below capacity and the country's top import bill is not luxury goods as per Okonjo Iweala economics but refined petroleum products. Internally illegal sale of crude oil goes on as a sabotage on the Nigerian state. The worl powers capitalised on the fact that no oil producing country is indutrialised enough to achieve self sufficiency because of the clueless brigands who have emerged as leaders ever since. The current generation of leaders in Africa are not even aware of what's going on in their county of origin talk less of what is happenning in their country.

May God Help Nigeria out of this crisis. Amen.

ROSSIKE:
If 'Jesus, the son of God' came to this earth and was born in the middle east in 1 AD, how come it took 2,000 years before this message from ''the son of god'' reached us in Nigeria? And then only when Europeans needed slaves and lands to colonize and loot for raw materials necessary to power their industrial revolution? Are you saying God did not deem it necessary to inform all those millions of Africans that would have lived from 1 AD to 1850 of the glorious kingdom of his son until Europeans decided just a couple hundred years ago they needed to raid Africa and loot resources? Did 'God' really 'postpone' the Nigerian introduction to his 'truth' until such a time as the Europeans needed to conquer and loot our lands, a full 2,000 years down the line, and why?

The ways of this imported 'God' are indeed strange!!
