Hehehehe, it would be nice if you to go back few pages and check who quoted you not to buy a car, I'm not the one ooo. Abeg, I only quoted you cos I'm a social worker in my finals and also have plans of leaving this country and also need clarifications on how you secured your funding and how you applied

Would love to get infos from you, can you drop your number or Email? Thanks

Hello. I applied on my school’s website (university of Kent). It is pretty straight forward. I was asked to upload a personal statement

Did you just get into the UK recently for studies?
What school?
I really don't have an answer to your question but need clarity myself

Did you go on scholarship?

Hello. I will be traveling to the UK this week for my masters (social work at the university of Kent). You advised someone not to own a car as a new comer...all prospective social workers coming to my school were asked to get a car by January (when placement starts). I was awarded a £3000 scholarship but it has no bearing on the compulsory ownership of a car

1. Don't buy a car;
2. Try reading from page 1 of this thread.

Hello. Please I have a question. What if you are mandated by your university to own a car for your placement (social work student), what would you suggest or advice such a person?

Good evening my people,
1. pls is anyone applying or has applied for social work?
My agent said only u.k residents are offered that course, that social work does not work for international students. Pls is this true?

No 2. My spouse has an account with backlays bank in the u.k, can our POF be presented with the foreign bank in pounds?

1. Biggest lie of the century. International students can apply too

Probably meant to type Aug 18th or something. Please book a month to start date. Not earlier. May God guide you.

It is August 8th to 6th of November. I won’t leave until it is a month to my start date anyway

sadAfter paying 8k. These people. Do you have your waybill number? Can you try to track it?

Yes. I tried tracking it, it keeps saying my tracking attempt is not successful. I even called Dhl and they said I should contact TLS, that the fault is from their end. We are supposed to receive an email from them when they release it to Dhl. I am so angry sef. It is just giving me unnecessary hypertension. If I had known, I would have collected it this morning.

why are u creating multiple confusions for your self.

U DO NOT NEED TB TEST, IF YOU ARE APPLYING FROM UAE, OR YOU RESIDE IN UAE AND ENTERED NIGERIA FROM UAE LESS THAN 6 MONTHS B4 YOUR APPLICATION DATE. THERE IS NO SINGLE CONFUSION HERE.

Again, I saw where u said u cant apply with a Nigerian Bank account from UAE. who gave u such a wrong information. you can apply with any valid bank account from any where in the world in any where in the world. what matters is that, it is a regulated bank and the money is available to you. Khalas.

I think the last part of your statement is wrong. You CAN’T apply with ANY valid bank account from anywhere in the world. Check the Uk government website concerning this. You can’t use a bank account from another country that is NOT REGULATED by the financial regulatory body in the country you are applying from

You can’t get tuition fee below £6,000 for international students. Especially for MSc. Social Work.

Social work is a 2yrs course. Hence, two years tuition will be required.

You can check University of Hull, their September 2021 fee for int’l applicants is same as UK/EU. Between £7,000-£9,000.

University of Teesside allow you pay £13,000 for a two-years course with discount of £1,000 or thereabout.

Liverpool hope MA Social Work is less than £6,000
Wolverhampton is less than £7,000
Kent is £10,300 and I was able to get a scholarship of £3,000 and so I will be paying £7,300
