Rising Afrocentric artiste Demmie Vee stopped by Star FM Lagos recently where he called out Lil Kesh for snubbing him at an event. He made this known when the OAP asked to know his biggest regret in the industry so far. Without mincing words, the soulful-voiced singer notified listeners that his biggest regret in the industry so far was greeting YAGI boss Lil Kesh. He said; “I had gone to the Lagos @50 event with 9ice, who by the way is humble to a fault despite his achievement. As I entered the event, the presenter that was interviewing Lil Kesh saw me and hailed me.” “The presenter was trying to interview me but I had to pay respect to Lil Kesh who was interviewed prior to my arrival. But things went sour with him and to my utter dismay, he yelled at me and pushed my hands off as I made to shake him. I never see myself as a competitor with him because our style of music is different.” According to Demmie, Lil Kesh denied knowing him and asked him to f*ck off!!! Lil Kesh’s words to him were; “Guy wetin happen? I sabi you? Why you want greet me?” Demmie was shocked and embarrassed. But he managed to ignore the insult. Demmie finally said; “My biggest regret was greeting him in the first place. But am over it now.”

With old age comes wrinkles and pesky facial lines on the face, wrinkles are commonly caused by excessive exposure to sun, smoking, dehydration, pollutants and also aging. However, some females develop wrinkles at a very young age, obviously not a result of old age but some wrinkle-inducing habits. Steering clear of these habits can help keep your skin looking younger and free of creases and wrinkles. Over-exfoliating Exfoliating the skin gets rid of dead skin cells, excess oil and dirt on the skin in order to restore a healthy glow and youthfulness to the skin. However, incessant exfoliating of the skin strips it clean of all natural oils, gets the skin irritated and inflamed, it also speeds up aging causing the skin to lose its elasticity over time. Repetitive facial expressions Certain facial expressions you might be fond of like pouting, frowning, squinting as well as screwing up your face tends to overwork the facial muscles unnecessarily, makes them lose their flexibility and thus results in facial lines and wrinkles on the skin. Also, avoid pulling and stretching your skin while applying makeup or cleansing your face. Tummy and side sleeping A good night's sleep is good for our overall health. In fact, a healthy night rest improves our facial appearance. However, certain sleep positions could add lines to your face, sleeping on or side or face down causes wrinkles as it adds more pressure on the collagen and elastin fibers on your skin. To prevent this facial lines, invest in a satin pillowcase and bedspread or sleep on your back

The revered South African rapper has notified the world that his inspiration originates from downtown Nigeria where international stars like Wizzy Boy are born and bred, as he reveals Nigeria’s Wizkid Ayo to be his source of inspiration. Wizkid Ayo has no doubt done what no African musician has done and is more like a model to be followed. His success on the international scene served as the needed motivation for Nigerian stars who may have dreamed of taking their game international but lacked the means to do so. But his breakthrough paved the way for others on the local scene. Now, the said South African rapper, who has been running things on the music scene for ages, cannot think of a better well to draw inspiration from than Wizkid Ayo’s. The award winning rapper tweeted that he wishes South African Hip Hop will someday reach the world like Wizkid's music. In his words: “Wizkid inspires me so much, man. I know we are doing two different genres of music. But I dream of a day when South African Hip Hop will travel the world like that.” Cassper has been awarded and nominated for various music awards both locally and internationally.

Nigerian fans do not welcome Wizkid’s idea of donating all his earnings from his London Show to the Grenfell Tower Fire Victims while ignoring the plight of the internally displaced people in his own country, Nigeria. Wizkid had made known his plans to donate every revenue he generates from his London show to the survivors of Grenfell Tower Fire. But when word of his benevolence came to his Nigerian fans, they kicked against his decision, as they opine that charity should begin at home. So, it’s confusing to them why Wizzy chooses to start his from abroad. Taking to Twitter, Nigerians vented their blazing anger on Wizkid, calling him out for being so kind and considerate to strangers while completely neglecting his own people who raised him to the level he is today. According to them, his benevolent acts should be concentrated on the Borno IDPs first of all before crossing boundaries. Consequent upon this, curses have followed the international Starboy who just resumed performing in live shows. Wizzy is yet to get back to his fans who are earnestly waiting for an explanation from him. Just wondering what he’ll say is his reason to prioritize foreign affairs and play down on home affairs. Can you predict ![]()

Fans of Nigerian rapper Ycee have declined the rappers offer to sign them autographs, as they are of the opinion that things like autographs only make meaning in foreign countries, not in Nigeria, the giant of Africa. The backlash began after the “Don’t Need A Bae” crooner took to his Twitter handle to announce a planned event, urging fans in the area to turn up and have their CDs signed. The Tinny Entertainment act struck a deal to sign autographs for his fans in exchange for their signatures on his jacket. But that didn’t seem enticing enough to his fans. Ill comments followed his announcement, as fans made clear to him that autographs mean nothing to them. According to them, they would rather have him perform than sign them worthless autographs. In their words; “If you want to perform, perform. Ain’t nobody turning up because of the autograph, abeg.” Another fan came on board and wrote: “This is Nigeria! We don’t give two shits about autographs.” Ycee tried as much as he could to be lenient in his response to them. But he was certainly hurt by their words. But wait oh; it is true that autographs mean nothing in Nigeria ![]()

The menstrual cycle has changed throughout the history of mankind, just like how humans have been changing. The results from various scientific researches have revealed 9 Things you should never do on your most sensitive day of the month: 1. Avoid shaving According to Health.com estrogen levels drop dramatically during your period. Having such a low estrogen count makes all of your physical pain hurt much more due to your body becoming so sensitive. 2. Avoid sad or romantic movies Surely it is no surprise to learn that your emotions are so different while on your period. At times you may not even recognize your emotional self. The hormone levels are so out of balance that as your body tries to adapt, your mind does not know how to react. Romantic movies are a recipe for disaster. Avoid watching these types of films, as they can heighten your sensitivity. Instead use this time to catch up on the newest humor films. 3. Avoid using less protection at night time (assuming you’ll have a lighter flow) It’s easy to assume, wrongly, that your night flow is low. When lying down, the lack of gravity creates this delusion, but if you’re not careful you can end up in an accident (and it will not be pleasant).Take extra precaution when you head to bed for the night, just in case. 4. DO be physically active According to Women’s Health, you should increase your physical activity during these days. The physical activity helps with cramps, anxiety and your roller coaster emotions 5. Avoid consuming dairy products Although calcium is good during your menstrual period, dairy is not. Products such as milk, yogurt and cheese contain an acid called arachidonic acid; this acid can cause more cramping in the lower abdomen. 6. Avoid long periods of time using the same protection Even if the box of pads or tampons says you can use each product for 8 hours straight, it is important to change it every 3 to 4 hours. This limits discomfort and prevents bacteria from developing, forming that nasty odor we all know too well. 7. Make sure you remove the protection This may have never happened to you, but it is not uncommon for women to leave the same product on their under garments for several days. This causes an infection that can kill. The infection is known as Toxic Shock Syndrome and is generated by the existence of staph bacteria. Symptoms can range from a fever to your organs shutting down completely. Create a routine like you do brushing your teeth to ensure this does not happen to you. 8. Avoid foods high in salt Experts advise to avoid food that is high in sodium at all costs. An increased amount of sodium intake will lead to fluid retention, bloating and more cramps.
