Talented Nigerian artiste Runtown who is mostly underrated has further shocked Nigerian music lovers following a recent revelation that shows that his hit song “Mad Over You” scored another big credit as one of the most searched topics on Google so far, this year. The CEO of Google in the person of Sundar Pichai revealed this during a recent visit to Nigeria. According to him, the top searches on the engine this year includes Runtown’s sensational tune, “Mad Over You.” Of the truth, the tune took Nigerian music lovers by a storm and became more like a national anthem on radio stations and TV stations in Naija. Going by this revelation by Sundar Pichai, it can be concluded that Runtown’s “Mad Over You” is the most searched song on Google in Nigeria, in 2017 so far. With all the activities going on in Nigeria (Buhari’s health, Recession, Evans The Kidnapper, etc), none could beat Runtown’s “Mad Over You” to it. That’s nothing but the beauty of a nice tune. I guess Runtown deserves more than a million thumbs up for making Nigeria proud. Together with a screenshot, Media Strategist Adekeye . E. Tosin took to Twitter to break the news saying; “Popular searches in Nigeria over the past year... @iRuntown I see you!!! #GoogleForNigeria

G-Worldwide act Kiss Daniel has spoken of the factor that inspired his mega hit song, “Mama.” According to the young & handsome singer, the song was inspired by his affair with his Ex who’s soon walking down the aisle with another guy. He made the revelation recently in an interview with Hi Radio in Amsterdam. Just like one on a hot seat, Kiss was asked a lot of questions. When it came to the question of his latest album and best song, he mentioned NEW ERA to be his latest album and named MAMA to be his best song. Hi Radio further asked how the storyline of the song came about. In response, Kiss Daniel made known that he named MAMA as his best song because the storyline was about his Ex-Girlfriend who is on the verge of tying the nut with another guy. The Sofa singer said he dedicated the song to his ex-girlfriend who broke up with him last year during his New Era concert; an event that broke his heart. But he managed to man up to the blame saying she is a good lady who cares less about money or millionaires and he respects her a lot. He described her as a strong woman who only wants respect. But then, she’s getting married to another. How sad!

Former Big Brother Naija Housemates, Efe is fast losing confidence, as he fears to be kicked out of the spotlight in six months’ time. According to the graduate of Economics, his fame is likely to diminish and possibly die in six months’ time. Efe, who is a rapper, has had a swell time in the spotlight since after his emergence as the winner of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show. But he’s failed to pull off new stunts and get fans to keep talking about him for long. In fact, his fans are beginning to dislike him because of his chosen profession (rap music), as they don’t see him as a worthy rapper. These things have gotten to the singer, thus making him esteem himself somewhat lowly to the point where he blurted out in a live interview that his fame will be gone in six months’ time. According to him, fans are eager to take snapshots with him now that he’s still hot but will most likely have enough of him within the next six months and dump him. While stating ways to prevent the euphoria from diminishing, Efe said he plans to keep working his way to the top level so as to stay relevant. But is he even still popular? Let him do another business before wasting all his money on music.

The highly admirable and lovable Timi Dakolo has again taken to social media to flaunt his wife as he is in the habit of doing; and this time, he shared a makeup free photo of her and took out time to gush over her. What a husband!!! It is an undeniable fact that Timi Dakolo’s wife, Bukola, is a beauty to behold. Indeed, if she is declared single again even while still married to Timi Dakolo, many underage guys will rush to ask for her hand in marriage. That’s how adorable she is; no wonder Timi Dakolo can hardly keep himself from gushing over her every now and then. Timi did it again by going on social media to show off his wife’s beautiful face. While others are flaunting money, cars, and fake Gucci items, the singer is flaunting his wife. Sharing a makeup free photo of her, he captioned the photo thus: “This is the Mr. Timiebi Dakolo. I just arranged this room. Respect my efforts nah… I bought a lot of hangers... Please arrange your clothes... It looks innocent but it comes with thick silence and certain threat... And baby you know I am trying. But it passes the message perfectly...”

Nigerian Comedian Funny Bone, in a bid to crack the ribs of his audience, crossed the lines by calling Veteran singer Daddy Showkey a mosquito in the music industry. Many laughed at the joke. But Daddy Showkey didn’t find it funny. This comment was considered highly rude by his industry colleagues, especially those from the music industry, as the place of respect and loyalty must never be tampered with for no reason whatsoever!!! But overwhelmed by the need to make his audience laugh their hearts out, the Nigerian comedian failed to play by the rules; a very wrong move!!! The whole thing began with Funny Bone cracking a joke about the beef between Davido, Wizkid, and Tekno. If you remember, Davido had been called out over his “frog voice” while Tekno was said to have the face of a duck. So, during the show, Funny Bone again called Tekno a duck and insolently compared Daddy Showkey to a “mosquito.” Daddy Showkey saw the clip and got pissed off. Funny Bone then apologized to him, stating how much he respects him. He said; “I respect you a lot and will never disrespect you. You know me too well. I apologize, sir. Please accept my apology.” Guys, after all, said and done, would you say Funny Bone’s comedy was cool or insolent ![]()

Beautiful couple, Timi Dakolo and his wife, took their romance to the next level by flirting with each other from separate cars while stuck in traffic; hence becoming the center of attraction by putting up such free live love show. If you still recall, the singer twerked for his wife some time ago in an outdoor eatery and got passersby stopping by to enjoy the show. It seems like Timi is in the habit of holding folks spellbound by performing random love stunts with his adorable wife who’s every bachelor’s desired life partner. Indeed, only such partners can make marriage beautiful. Taking up from where he stopped the last time, Timi went on a ride with his wife in separate cars. While their initial plan is unknown, the duo, however, got stuck in traffic and decided to make the best out of it by flirting with each other from cars apart. Isn’t that unimaginable? Timi acted like he was hitting on her while she proved hard to get. Timi made statements like; “Fine girl, can you please come out of the car so I can take a good look at your stunning body? You’re a hot babe ooh… Leave your husband and follow me. I will take care of you. Please give me your number. I followed you down here to get your number. I love you.” Lol.

Horrifying photographs showing pregnant women and children among dead migrants found in a rubber dinghy has shone a light on the grim reality of the desperate scramble to cross the Mediterranean into Europe. A Spanish charity found 167 migrants alive and 13 dead in yet another rescue operation involving rubber boats crossing the deadly stretch of sea. More than 2,200 migrants have died trying to reach Europe across the Mediterranean so far this year according to the International Organization for Migration – meaning on average 10 people a day die making the journey. As some migrants’ corpses lie n@ked in the middle of the dinghy, others can be seen in the pictures sitting around in life-jackets waiting to be rescued. Operation Sophia, which has naval ships and aircraft monitoring the Mediterranean, aims to disrupt smuggling networks and train Libya’s coastguard as a way of stemming the flow of desperate migrants attempting the risky crossing from Libya to Italy in unseaworthy boats.

Sadio Mane will join Liverpool’s pre-season trip to Germany after being cleared to resume full training next week. The Senegal forward underwent surgery in April having damaged the meniscus in his left knee, and was excluded from the squad which on Sunday travelled to Hong Kong. Liverpool are scheduled to face Hertha Berlin in a friendly on July 29 before participating in the Audi Cup, which also includes Bayern Munich, and boss Jurgen Klopp expects to have the 25-year-old available. “Sadio is on the way back,” Klopp told the club’s official website. “The plan is he will come with us to Germany. “The plan is he trains completely normally with us when we are back in England. “We have been waiting long enough for him now. He is around (Melwood) all of the time and is in pretty good shape. “Unfortunately he was not ready to train, but he looked good, (the injury) looks good and so now he should be fine when we get back.”

Nigerian singer Mr. Eazi, who revealed some days back that the Starboy Worldwide Chief, Wizkid, did not sign him to the Starboy Worldwide label, has come out again to claim that he’s the second best-selling artiste after Wizkid. The “Short Skirt” crooner blurted these words out in a recent interview with a Ghanaian radio station, again making headlines as he’s been doing lately. While fans are still trying to make something of his recent claim that Wizkid is nothing but a business associate of his, Eazi has given them yet another debatable matter to deliberate upon. During the interview session with the Ghanaian radio, Mr. Eazi said; “I don’t mean to brag ooh… but in the past one year in West Africa, I’ve been the second best-selling artiste on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and Tidal. I’ve been the second best-selling artiste next to Wizkid.” Well, those were Mr. Eazi’s words exactly, and he was so sure of his words. Judging from Mr. Eazi’s words, it can be said that the self-acclaimed 2nd best-selling artiste in Africa sold more records in the last one year than other Nigerian A-list artiste. Guys please get in the comment area and share your thoughts.

Contrary to predictions by music analysts, the YBNL boss’ latest tune, “Summer Body,” didn’t fall below standard, as it is now being recognized and celebrated by US Billboard” as the most mentioned song on Twitter this week. The world renowned international music chat platform recognized Olamide’s latest banging single “Summer Body” by ranking in at number 39 on Billboard. The track, which featured the coolest kid in Africa (Davido), has managed to gain international recognition and may just be on its way to securing the number one spot on Billboard. Many who considered Olamide too local to provide a content that can appeal to an international audience have been overly shocked at this progress. Even the international Starboy, Wizkid Ayo is assumed to be in a state of awe, being that he considers Davido, who was featured in the song, a local champion that failed on the international scene. Summer Body currently occupies the 39 position Displacing Mask off and Unforgettable on the Top-twitter billboard chart. With this progress, Olamide’s credibility and relevance are boosted, and we don’t have problems with him calling himself the “Street King.” In Olamide’s voice: God bless you, God bless the streets, and God bless everybody wey dey hustle.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) youth renaissance group has fired a stinker at Peter Okoye of P-square for insulting the Federal government of Nigeria by calling it “Ndi Ala” simply because the FG sought to promote Nigerian content by proposing a ban on music videos shot outside the country. Shortly after the Minister Of Information, Mr. Lai Mohammed made the announcement that the FG seeks to promote Nigerian content in music videos and Nollywood movies and hence places a ban on videos shot outside Nigeria, Peter Okoye of P-Square went online to oppose the motion and went as far as tagging the FG “Ndi Ala” (Mad People). His curse found its way to the FG, who have fired back by addressing the singer in a lengthy statement that portrays P-Square as greedy hypocrites who rose to prominence on the wings of policies like this in the 90s which mandated all broadcast stations in Nigeria to pay attention to Nigerian music by playing 95% of Nigerian songs every day. Right about now, those responsible for arresting folks for the FG are on their way to Peter Okoye’s house to take him in and possibly deal with him for daring to use “curse words” on FG. What do you think awaits Peter Okoye ![]()

Singer 9ice, who sparked up a lengthy controversy with his song “Living Things” has come out to clear the air on his Grammy promise which he made to his fans in one of his songs back in the days. If you still recall, the “Living Things” crooner had bragged about bringing home a Grammy Award on a track that featured Nigerian music legend 2face Innocent Idibia titled “Street Credibility.” It’s been several years since the release of that track and 9ice hasn’t brought home any Grammies. Now, his fans are asking him to fulfill his promise. The pressure got so much on 9ice, as fans are on his neck to bring home the Grammy he promised to bring home. To this end, 9ice has made to inform his fans that he never promised anyone that he was going to bring home a Grammy Award. According to the singer, he only promised himself what he wants for his life. Clearing the air, 9ice said: “I didn’t promise anyone Grammy. I only promised myself what I want for my life. I was talking about my story. I was simply thinking aloud. That was my own vision for my life and not a promise to my fans.”

The YBNL boss has reportedly clicked on the “block” button after one of his followers on IG reached out to him and told him to promote Wizkid’s EP, “Sounds From The Other Side.” For all we know, the beef and supremacy battle only involves Wizkid and Davido. Never at any point had Olamide come up to support or kick against either party. But then again, it appears his heart isn’t really with the Starboy Worldwide Chief, as he didn’t hesitate to block an IG follower who innocently told him to promote Wizkid’s EP. It all began with the self-acclaimed “Street King” taking to his IG page to post a picture. Then the said follower went to the comment area and urged him to spread the word of Wizzy’s “Sounds From The Other Side” on his platform. Badoo obviously didn’t buy the idea, as he couldn’t ignore him and let it slide. He took the bull by the horn and blocked him!!! The blocked follower went on social media to cry out, saying he never intended to get on the rapper’s wrong nerve. According to him, his words weren’t rude. So he wonders why he was blocked. There’s only one possible answer; “Badoo no like Wizzy.” You doubt ![]()
