I once saw a post here where someone said that "if a girl haven't called you stingy, then you aren't prudent with your finances." And I see that as the truth, sone girls have called me stingy simple because I did not respond to a request that they made. Something that to me it's irrelevant, so why should I respond to it.. I have no issue with any lady asking her man for something, as long as the guy can afford it. But annoyance are with ladies who knows the financial capability of their man and yet choose to put him under pressure by making demands that will put a strain on the man's pocket. |
princeSammyz:Check his moniker... For someone to be an enemy of something, it means that thing exist. Atheist will keep saying God doesn't exist, but all they do daily is talk about God. |
EnemyofGod22:How can you be the enemy of something that doesn't exist... It means you actually believe it exist |
Na only two people represent us....? |
Odunayaw:Oh... You think my statement spans from the perspective of my immediate vicinity. Oya, tell me which region of this country have not experienced massive kidnapping on its highways. Just tell me... One region of this country where such thing haven't taken place. |
Krak:I don't know what that guy is trying to achieve hiding the truth. It's obvious he's a paid agent of this govt, who always mask the truth by saying that am exaggerating on security situation. Every sensible Nigerian who have been in this country in the last 25years knows fully well that our country of today is technically a war zone. |
Odunayaw:You are just a joke. Almost 70% of our Federal highway have experienced kidnapping by bandits and yet you claim that am exaggerating. Assuming the issue have been addressed, I would have understood your point. Abj-Kad is risk, of recent, kad-zar have beginning to experience it's own kiddnaping. Funtua road, same issue, Kat-gusau, gusau-sokoto are becoming a no go area now. Let me not even mention birnin gwari as that's a level on its own. Lag-ibadan same thing, abj-lokoja of recent is reducing. Okene road seem to be reducing too. How then can you say am exaggerating. People travel those road cos they don't have options. If they do, they won't even ply it. Most big men that usually ply Kano to Sokoto route now have to fly to abj before connecting a flight to Sokoto And you open your mouth to say am exaggerating. |
arantess:How can a sitting govt have it's territory under the control of bandits and terrorist, yet all its discussing of recent is how to conduct election, and it's campaign. The govt should have been all over trying to clear this country of criminal elements and not discussing election. |
Odunayaw:If not an APC miscreants, who in his right sense will say the country is relatively peaceful. Abi is it until bomb start blowing up every day before you agree. Do you know how many communities in NW that is under the control of bandits. |
Lol... This thread eh. Humans are just naturally wicked. |
arantess:No mind that guy .. am very sure he's a Buhari support and so he doesn't want to saw the truth that will tarnish the govt image. Funny thing is, he claimed he's in Niger state, shey na for Niger bandits kidnap more than 100 people on Friday morning. Who them born well to do this shit under the abacha rule. And as a military gov of a state, you don't have to be waiting for the central government to tell you what to do on how to handle insecurity as you will be the one commanding your troops. Even tribalism wasn't much under abacha as it has been under the last two civilian govt tenure. Imagine the almighty Kano that is like the capital of Hausa/Muslim people was having an Igbo Christian as a gov and there was no complain, every one worked with him. Buhari just came in, the first thing he did was to play the tribalistic card and some dumbhead were hailing him. Like I said earlier, corruption wise, military regime might not be a saint, but interms of peace and security, the common man enjoys that in Nigeria and that's what the common man needs now. In fact aside from Obj's tenure, majority of the infrastructural development that Nigeria have achieved were under the military rule. Who you be say they give you money to execute contract and you just ate the money leaving the contract then you will appear in court and faint or court will now fine you 300k on top billions of dollars wey you embezzle.... Or you open your stinking mouth and claim that snake swallow money under military regime. Na firing squad you go face. Shameless civilian govt. |
Odunayaw:You never grow up.... And you dey argue with people wey done grow up around that time. SMH. |
Odunayaw:No wahala ... Shame done catch me. You win. But make I ask you one question. During abacha so called dark ages and now, which of the time is the country safer. Just an answer is what I need. |
darkelf:No mind the guy. Am wondering what he's trying to achieve by denying the obvious fact. Even a blind man knows that this country is no longer safe as it used to be. |
Odunayaw:One of the hottest bed of madness.... So you have finally agreed that there is a madness. |
Odunayaw:Don't worry... Am guessing you have a car ... If you are in South, drive from your place to Katsina/Zamfara through brinin gwari, let's knw when you will reach. |
Odunayaw:So you are saying all the kidnappings happening in this country is fairytale. |
SuperSixSeven:Is the current situation of the country not worse than the so called dark abacha ages. What exactly is Nigerian government doing for its people.... Please tell me. The only thing the common Nigerian is asking for is just peace. The politicians and govt official can loot as much as they like, the common man don't care. All we need is just peace for us to carry on our business and sleep at night with two eyes. And during the dark abacha ages, apart from political opposition that are been hunted, I didn't see how abacha's regime disturbed the peace of the common man. But just check out, currently one can't travel to the next state without been scared of kidnappers. In fact, you can even be in your home and still be kidnapped. |
By the time you start telling people of the freebies you thought you got from FG, then your friends will start calling the number, then during the interrogation from the scammer, when he will be asking you what you will do with the money and all that, a token will be sent to you and then he will demand for it. Then through the information he will get from you, he will now open the mobile app of your bank from his own end. Lastly he will tell you that by tomorrow, you will get your own alert of the survival fund. If there is no money in your account, he will ask you to credit your account with about 5k... (Small money abi.). Saying that your account needed to be funded so they will be sure it's active. Then before tomorrow, your acct will be wiped out. |
Definitely, after getting the 30k, you will be thinking it's genuine. Then definitely you will tell your friends, family members and people you know to call the number so they can get their. I forget to mention that the scammer will tell u that it's only some certain bank that they partner with. He mentioned FCMB, Keystone, Taj and I think Union. From my experience, these banks Mobile apps can be activated in multiple devices without having to delete it from a previous device. |
After you call them, they will ask you what you do and what you will do with the money when they give you. The interrogation will last for long, making it look like it's real. They will even suggest business that you will do with the money when they give you. Then they will ask for your account number, after a while, they will call you and tell you that your account history/transaction is not up to the standard they need, and so you are only qualified to receive #30k. Then they will send you the money. To you now, it looks so easy and genuine getting 30k |
My experience today .. So I heard from some of the people I know, how their account were wiped out of the little money they had. First of all you get a message saying that you have been qualified to get 250k for survival fund and then you will be asked to call the number attached to the message. Attached is the message that they sent to my friend.

Any one following the upsurge in fighting between the Kurds and Isis in northern Syria. |
after4:You are talking about bad roads unemployment... Each state have a governor. What have the govs been doing about the roads. What are our house of reps members been doing about the bad FG roads. Don't just complain and blame FG when we have elected leaders who are supposed to talk. Let me give u a perfect scenario. Abj-Kad-Kan road is under rehabilitation now. This will be the 3rd time that road is been rehabilitated under 15years. Now look at Enugu Onitsha express way, since 2010 that road have been under reconstruction and abandoned. Some part have even turned to single lane. If that road where to be in the north, the govs won't take that shit, the house of rep members will be disturbing FG to complete the work and the people won't even take it Before you start blaming anyone, start by checking yourself. I keep saying it, it's only Igbos who haven't left SE to see what govs of other regions are doing in their respective state that will open mouth and be blaming FG for things that the govs ought to do. Take it from me, in all the state that I have been, it is only in the East that one won't notice the presence of the state government cos they don't do anything at all. |
@onumadu... Thank you for these wonderful write up. Some people here will say you are not Igbo, some will even call you names, but no sane Igbo man will be happy with what is happening in South East. Sometimes I wonder the caliber of Igbos we have here on nairaland. Is it that they are all children or they are outside of SE for them not to see the negative effects of the activities of IPOB. People lively hood have been destroyed, lives made miserable for a lot of people yet some people are cheering them up. These Xmas, most big men that are from my villa didn't return home. The annual football competition that we do in our village to unit the youth didn't hold cos the youth who reside outside our village most of them didn't return and there was no sponsor. All these police station and building that IPOB are destroy, if we achieve bia.fra, is it not those building and institution that we will be using before we build our own. I can count a good number of Igbo officers who have been killed since this issue started. The funny thing is, aside from Lagos, Port, Abuja and maybe Kano, if you like, lock down your state for the next 10years, it won't effect the economy of the nation neither will it affect the revenue of FG. Companies in the East will still pay CIT and EDT to FG. |
autolearner:Or when the snow have finished melting, we will see it. |
Nyanyafk:Abacha stole and mismanage resource but groups like this dare not erupts in this nation. You are even talking as if the civilian leaders aren't stealing and mismanaging our resources. Is it not when you are alive that you can talk about if our resources is been mismanaged or not. If they like, let them mismanaged all the resources, but let the populace have peace, we can survive on that. |
Valkrie:Very useless set of army. Shame no dey even catch them. |
bidexiii:All these happening on our soil and someone is up there saying there is no money for the war. But there is money for looting by politicians... There is money that can be used to sustain the naira against the FX. There is money to conduct presidential election. There are alot of unemployed youths wishing they can join the army. Look at the numbers of candidates that applied for police force. If we don't have money to buy hardwares, then let's contract innoson and proforce to build vehicles, employ the thousands of youths needed for the operation and march into Borno state towards lake Chad. What we can't make up in weapons, we do it the old conventional way... Boots on ground. I knw many people will be saying I don't knw more about war than the military heads. With all what the military heads knw, this is ten years plus and the war is ongoing. They only thing they do is repel attacks. Take this gaddam war to camps of BH.... The after effects of employing many foot soldiers is far far better than the humanitarian and economics crisis we are facing now. Just look at the innocent children up there. Robbed off their innocent childhood. |
kekakuz:Am so ashamed of what you wrote here. Read it again, does it make sense. |
Whyem15:Guy, all the things you said are ok... But are we fighting this war so we can be handling it like table tennis (pass to me and I pass to you) or are we fighting this war to end it once and for all. If Iraqis didn't come out on the offensive against Isis, probably by now a large number of northern Iraq territory will still be under Isis. The only meaningful thing the military need to do is to come up with a long time plan, recruit more boots, get more engines and take the war to Isis front. It would have been a different game is Isis are based in another country. But we have them on our soil, not just on our soil, but concentrated around lake Chad region, we need to flush them out. |

if I spoke by looking at my immediate vicinity then I'd be saying the same thing
