Na wa o.... Another set of soldiers gone.... Is that how this country will continue to handle this issue. |
What I see here is more of the situation of unemployment in this country. Imagine the number of people fighting tooth and nail just to get Npower of Less than 50k. This country is finished. |

Guys... Take a look at this thread... https://www.nairaland.com/6763279/boko-haram-release-video-soldiers#106009977 cc: Dubailandlord |
ariesbull:This our country and tribalism... How does my comment have any connection with my tribe or Yoruba. |
EricBraven:Me am in no way in support of jungle justice, but these bandits deserve much more than jungle justice. Do you knw in some villages in Katsina/Zamfara, bandits will break into people's home, take their wife and daughters just to be raping them. Under their territory, if you go to farm without their permission or paying them, they kill you and destroy the farm. If you are getting married or organising any ceremony, and you didn't settle them, they come and interrupt and kill people. Around their camps, it's only those associated with them that comes in their... So any bloody person found around their and the person is not a victim, then he or she is an associate and deserve JJ. Take a look at the news from Sokoto where the locals stormed a police station just to get to the bandits. You think that have been the way of life of the locals before. |
willybaby:How.... Do you knw the evil these guys commit? Have you ever been kidnapped by bandits, or do you knw someone who as kidnapped by bandits? Have you ever been in a town around north east and Boko boys attacks or do you knw any survivor who have told you his story. Guy, the activities of these guys brought out the best inside most people around villages. One of my direct friend was among the kanti kwari men that was kidnapped some months back, I have a priest friend who was kidnapped also. You need to hear how ruthless these guys are. I live in the north, in one of the states that bandits are active. The way bandits operate, anyone found wandering around their camp and is not a victim of kidnapp, then that person is either a bandit, a supplier or a gun runner and so deserve the jungle justice. |
willybaby:I guess she was just been sarcastic. |
As it is now... Let the Nigeria army just form a perimeter around these area, cutting them off from town. The town's that are under Boko control should just remain with them. Mayb we can gv them their own country. No need sending innocent soldiers on patrol only to go and die and on top of that, them go come carry free weapons from the army. This is so painful. But looking at this, this is just one Hilux van comprising of about 10soldiers. What will only ten soldiers be doing in that kind of high risk area. We should be talking about 100-150 soldiers moving together to enhance their man power. |
Sizzorkay:Guy chill abeg... When the bandits were kidnapping people and executing those who couldn't pay ransom, does that shows any sign of civilness. So you want them to be arrested and taken to court so that one oga at the top will wrk for their release. Left for me, this type of treatment shld be given to those so called repentant Boko boys. |
I changed apartment... From one room to two rooms and parlour. Then I discovered that of my income per month is really small and have to up my game. |
Survivingnaija:You mean the ESN that are killing our people in forces. |
Naijanascam:That's the problem. The earlier we start putting fire on reps from SE the better for all of us. Apart from ABARIBE, whom to me have not even done anything specific for SE, I do not even know any other rep that talks for the people of our region. |
We have heard stories of some govs fixing federal roads and demanding for refund from FG. Why can't the govs of SE fix the bad fed road and demand for refund from FG |
In response to this thread on the front page. https://www.nairaland.com/6760753/agony-south-east-most-federal-roads Am not here to start arguing about a region been marginalized or not. But I just want to ask or get clearification on how governance work. Maybe my own thinking of how governance work in a democratic setting is obsolete. There is no doubt that the federal roads in SE region are pretty much bad. They are bad to the extent that a good government need to close down all the road and start fixing it as the road there are no longer motorable. I want to use the Enugu-Onitsha exp as a case study. Back in the year 2010-2011 when I was in the uni, that was when this express way was graded and been prepared for rehabilitation and repairs. Now this is 10 years down the line, the road have become a nightmare for motorists. Fr. Mbaka once said, that children born between 2003-2012 will never knw that Enugu-Onitsha exp is a dual carriage road all through and some lanes of the road have turned into bushes. None between that same 2010/2011 till date, Abuja-Kano road have been rehabilitated 3x, the third one is what they are doing now. And after each rehabilitation, the road becomes so smooth that you can virtually place your leg on the throttle and fire till you reach Abuja. Back then when we used to enter night bush from Kano to the each, the moment we start feeling pot holes, we know we have passed lokaja. Now the question is, what have our S/Eastern senators, reps members, govs and top politicians done about this road. Why are they all quiet. Every region have a rep at the federal level. Every state have a gov. How come when the FEC approved of the rehabilitation of Kano-Abj road for a second and a third time, why didn't the SE reps and leaders protest and insist that SE federal roads needs to be looked into. How come during and after FEC meetings when roads construction and rehabilitation have been approved, why can't the SE reps and leaders insist that the federal roads in the east needs urgent attention. Since I started reading news and having access to the net, I haven't seen or heard or even read where SE senators and reps are battling FG for them to fix the roads in the east. The only thing I hear of is that the leaders and people are complaining of marginalisation. The time we spend in passing propaganda of marginalisation, let's use it to request for things. If a child in a family claims that he is been underfed and refuse to ask for more food, how will the others knw that he is underfed. Truly, everyone knows that the roads are bad in the east, but what action are our leaders taking to draw the attention of the FG to it. |
Blueelf:From my own, if they want to reform the police. The least requirement into the force should be at HND, no OND no SSCE. When govt finish recruiting the required number of candidates and sent them for a long time training. When they are back, after like two weeks of real time training... The govt should convert all the police officers from rank of CP down to the least rank to civil defence, road safety and maybe aviation security officers(instead of disengaging them) Then after like a year or two, when the new recruit are familiar with the police structure, all the remaining senior officers should be dismissed. Not to forget that the staff of police service commission and ministry of police affairs need to all be reformed cos all of them play part in the corrupt system of the police. |

GreenOris:You have said it all. The population of Bandits are too many now and too close to the people that at times you can't even tell the difference. Maybe when military onslaught like this start, bandits can disarm and mix with the populace, when the onslaught stop, the go back to evil acts. This issue of bandits should have been fully attacked and dislodged a long time ago. |
JBoss25:Who told u Covid killed him. Someone that have been sick since time immemorial. |
This Covid sef... I don't even understand. How come no footballer have died out of Covid. |
Too bad... Hearing of death in this country is becoming normal.. |
bidexiii:Did I hear you say Adamawa... How did this weapons cross from Zamfara to Adamawa. Chai... Our country no dey safe again. |
Hello guys... Any news on our military onslaught in North West.... I saw some not so good pictures of our fallen soldiers engaged in warfare over there. What's the situation like. |
"I don't really know how bases work or the intention it's been set up." But I feel it's really wrong for military officers to just set up a base that is a sitting duck for our soldiers, there by sacrificing our young men. All of us knows that in Zamfara, Katsina and Niger, bandits moves in swarms of abt 500-1500 armed men. So therefore is at all the military wants to set up a base in those areas, they should have fortified the base in such a way that 2000 armed bandits can't overrun, other wise they are just risking the lives of our young men. If you want to travel from Lagos to Borno in your private car, it's foolishness to buy one gallon of fuel and hope that it will take you there. |
Odunayaw:You can enlighten me. |
dayoade2007:How many people enter the arena to watch. |
I still don't knw how these formula one team makes money. With the cost of tires, getting new car in almost every race, cost of fueling and parts and paying the drivers and team members. How do they make all these money to foot the bills and remain profitable. |
NewDelhi:Huhh... Easy with the name calling. |
NewDelhi:Na wa o... Are bandits these powerful. Overrunning a base is a thing that only Boko boys do. This issue is no longer a child's play. |
Those of you following the onslaught against bandits in Zamfara. Is the atk on army base true. |
The main issue here is excessive labour force. So when you as an employee try to complain, you can easily be booted out and another jobless person will be ready and even begging to fill your space. Imagine that despite the fact that private schools pays teachers 10-15k per month despite all the stress and work load, there are people who will still beg to have the job. Take a look at the banking industry. There are banks that pays staff that performs core banking jobs 40-80k per month, despite working from 7am-8pm. One can't complain, cos if the bank sack you, someone will be willing to accept same work load for less. That's the problem.... As long as there is excessive labour force, employers will continue to rip off people. Just imagine that there is scarcity of labour, and most firms find it difficult to get a candidate that they can employ. Won't they make the working condition better so as to attract and keep staff. And before you start blaming regulatory agencies, is there any agencies that do their work in Nigeria. Even the all mighty CBN that is supposed to checkmate banks don't do it, how much more all these useless FG MDAs. It all boils down to economic situation. |
I hope they keep to it. Send all these MDFKrs to h*ll. |
