slimmy2005: exchange rate 194? Same thing with worldremit 194. Western Union charges $5 for transfer while world remit charge $4… western union is just a rip off, when you go to collect the money, they give you naira instead of dollar knowing how much you could change it at the black market |

Jchi9876: run for your dear life from these bloody indians who are no good. Customer service is. terrible. no wonder they say awuf dey run belle.
if you wanna do a wire transfer from your account straight to a dorm account in nigeria and have peace of mind just use your account its a flat rate charge of $40.
Western union or money gram no dey do straight deposit to account and Naija banks won't let recipients deposit $$ value in their dorm.
So if you need your naija peeps to have more money for whatever deposit into their dorm they withdraw call abokiii in the streets and shikena.
All these vvirtual people claiming they will do transfer to an account in naija for $3 better i have been a terrible victim (upon how i smart reach) when moneygram or westy's lowest charge depending on amount you sending is abt $12.
Worldremit is scam slow fraudulent. terrible service and glorified money laundering You just dey slam worldremit with no prove. I actually used them yesterday, fast and cconvienent, its the best way to send money for now. Western union don't work no more and they suck |

worry359: Some confusion here! You need to apply to the higher school (university) to get a visa. Then when you get to Obamaland, transfer to a community college. But remember C.C. is a lower school and their certificates are worth less in the job market! If you know how much people spend on CC you won't call the certificate worthless. |

LUCAS99: Which software do you use to file? TurboTax right?
I normally file with Jackson Hewitt. Never knew you can file on your own, does one need to make a certain amount of money to file tax, e.g $10,000 and above. Is it advisable to claim dependency if u re aged under 21. Thanks |

materamabillis: pls help me guys. can a girl of 16 yrs attend F1 visa interview alone. Yes she can, an older person could accompany her but you won't be allowed to enter the gate, I was 17+ when I went for mine, they didn't allow my mum in, forget the 18 ish adult thing. If you try to persuade them they will tell you there is no space inside/you could be on standby if the VO wants to see you that would be the only exception. They only allow 13 or 14+ |

Daniel3366: Please is there anyone here who could help me one-on-one prepare better like via whatsapp. I don't want to be denied again There is no special word/wordings to use while going for your visa interview, it all depends on your confidence and zeal when answering questions, forget what everyone will tell you here, cause they will end up looking for something wrong in what you posted up there. Americans are looking for individuals that will impact their society positively, be yourself when you get there next time, don't make it a big deal. Am sure someone out of millions that go for interview has used the same wordings you used while been interviewed and gotten his/her visa. If u truly are a genuine student they will see that zeal and fire in your eyes and grant you the visa, last last everything na luck. Stop looking for anything special to say. Goodluck |

coobboy: Lol, thats funny.... But i'm becoming more audible, no more "what?" "Whatsup?" "Say that again."
I think i would lose the formal Nigerian English accent. But would retain my broken English and yoruba. Because this discrimination sometimes is much. i would be busting my hass in class, getting work done, to submit on the due date. While the others (mostly americans) would come up to class lazy saying they dint do shet.. Ask the prof to shift the date for them. and not grudgingly the prof will. I'd be like; na wa oh, after i don suffer do this thing dem come shift date.... But if i go do like them luck fit no dey my side.....
Sometimes i regret going to school in naija sha. Most nigerians that are coming over (undergraduates especially, masters students fit don pass level) would have problems in writing essay (punctuations, essay structure, run on sentences, grammar error (i'm facing most of this right now( I asked my prof to help me be a better writer, to help me; she started out by giving me a grade 4 (primary 4) paper to correct the sentence errors and grammar errors, i'm like: me "primary 4 paper." but its all good as long as it would help me)), and facing the crowd for presentations. We were bred with fear, people shunning us and all everytime. Sometimes it helps cos it cautions us when to talk and when not to (but most times its bad) because for here, their mouth no dey stay one place.
New comers patronize the writing center wella o, if you wanna get good grades on your essay papers. For real it helps alot, they have been helping me (in the first few weeks of school, essay that i would write in Nigeria i would get an A for it, but here its either i get a C- or C+, so far so good God has been opening my brain it has gotten far more better.) If you wan know book, everybody is willing to help you....with time we all will get better. True, run on sentences is always plenty every time I get back my paper from my instructor. E go just highlight them dey go. The good thing is that he let's u re-write |
