You are very correct but these same oils that dried up in Toyotas do not drop even a bit in BMW e46 with much more mileage.

I poured it in the engine of a Nairalander, who is also a moderator in 1 section and when vehicle was due for oil change it was short by almost 3liters.

I think that he is a harsh driver. Except for the very late models where Toyota has redesigned their engine rings, many Toyotas driven harshly and especially at high speeds will exhibit high oil consumption. It's not the oil's issue, it's Toyota's. People don't notice it because they hardly drive at top speeds.

I have personally noticed this with camry hybrid 2007, Sienna 2003, sienna 2005 and then other user's testimonies.

Information on this flaw can be found online and it's especially for the 2az engines.

On a camry hybrid I used both mobil 1 and total quartz 9000, they were dying up only when driven aggressively.

To add to this, oils mostly not labeled synthetic or synthetic blend are mineral oils.

Use tires that have grooves that route water away from under the tire to avoid hydroplaning.

The supercharged I4 will give the V6 power and the I4 fuel efficiency.

V6 isnt more durable than I4 generally. The durability difference comes from the load factor. A V6 might be operating at say averagely 50% of its power while I4 may be say 70%. This means the I4 will be working more than the V6. On the other hand, say you put a 2.6L V6 in a 5000kg car and put a 2.0L I4 in a 1500kg car, the V6 will have more load and would perform worst than the I4. The same can be said of the durability. Assume you use both at the same load factor and service at each one's recommended period. I think the V6 should give up first especially since it features more dead weight on its crankshaft.

It is also the same when you compare bike engines with cars. If you think a V6 is always better and faster, would a V6 car be ever faster to an I4 power bike?

Its not about the engine, its all about the load.

The load determines alot of things like acceleration, fuel efficiency, durability etc.

Same way a 2008 Toyota Hilux and 2008 Toyota Prado both have the same engine 2.7L I4 but the Hilux is more fuel efficient. This is for 2 major reasons, weight of each car and drive train. The Prado is a Full time 4x4 while Hilux a part time 4x4. The Prado has constantly more friction and dead weight to overcome which increases the load on the engine each time both cars start off from 0km/h.

Bad fuel (PMO & AGO) not properly refined or not suitable for the vehicle triggers the same effect. One may think it's fuel pump. Look into this area too. FYI.

Why is this striked out? What is said is entirely true. Engine can be running lean or rich due to bad/incompatible fuel pump. This can cause misfires and noticeable performance issues.

Scan it first. It has many causes.

Check your VVT mechanism. Checkout for detonation and/or pinging and the causes

Large vacuum leak, faulty MAF, faulty Oxygen or A/F sensor(s), weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter, faulty injector, faulty fuel pressure regulator, leaking cylinder head gasket, cylinder compression leakage, clogged CAT and so on....

For economy driving, shift between 1,500 - 2,500 rpm. For racing, shift at peak torque rpm of your vehicle. That could be 3,500, 4,000 and so on....
