Car Talk / Re: Help! My Car Right Side Always Hot And Brake Freeze by Ricmayak1: 11:16am On Oct 21, 2015 |
If the car has ABS, it could be that the solenoid of that wheel is not actuating properly, the brake fluid pipe has been beaten at a particular spot, you have oil contamination on the brake pad, your caliper is not retracting properly, you have the wrong brake pad(or too thick)/incompatible composition or your brake disc might be bad. I guess those mechanics must have bled the brake system. There is a pin(bolt) on the caliper that needs to move freely else, should be lubricated with the right lubricant. Regards. |

Car Talk / Re: My Corolla Hatchback Vvt-i T3 Dries Engine Oil by Ricmayak1: 6:03am On Oct 14, 2015 |
You drive aggressively right? If so, change to a slightly higher viscosity oil. This issue has been a factory issue that has to do with high engine oil consumption on some toyotas. It was even a recall if I remember well. |

your car might be running slightly richer than it use to. Though, it is normal for a car to run rich on cold start to quickly bring the engine to operating temperature. |

scholes0: Bros, you can lie o. Nupes are Majority in Niger, Many in Kwara, Kogi (infact original inhabitants of Lokoja), some are from Kaduna and lastly FCT. Igalas are just found within very few kilometers. Itobe (after Ajaokuta) ...Odolu(near Nsukka)... Agbaduma (after Ankpa)....Ogugu.... Bagana (After Abejukolo).... Dekina. Igala land don finish. Tell me where again? let me even pity by adding ibaji area. And you said that you are pretty sure. Area of coverage of nupes in Kwara alone is almost as big as the whole Igala land. Take note that the population too shouldn't be compared. How many tribes does Igalas have sef? Under the original Nupe, we have Basanges, Kakandas, Dibos and so on. When you add all, the figure can no longer be 2 percent. Research well. 5 Likes 1 Share |

A rope is probably tied on that stick, the glass beneath is stopping it from cutting/swinging. The rope is tiny, transparent and appears invisible. Also, don't be surprised if a powerful transparent glue was used to hold the container to the wood that is on the floor, and the wood on the floor having a foundation in the soil. 1 Like |

Car Talk / How Do You Drive Down From A Steep Rocky Hill? by Ricmayak1: 6:05am On Aug 20, 2015 |
Hello nairalanders, How can one drive down from a long, steep and rocky hill. Apply brakes for too long, it might overheat Engine braking can't be applied because one will be moving too slowly due to the rocks/stones. This can turn off the engine Emergency brake application is not wise since it is not an emergency and will wear it out. I am just wondering what the condition of the brake disk (temperature) will be in scenario, for average cars. Let's take Toyota Hulu as example. Your thoughts..... |

Car Talk / Re: 4-cylinder Engine Vs 6-cylinder Engine by Ricmayak1: 7:54am On Jun 06, 2015 |
nurey: "Engineer", So you are ruling weight out. I earlier agreed that V6, v8....... are more powerful you know. The powerful v8 full size SUV you drove would have been quicker if it was lighter. There are so many other technical factors we should not mention so that the thread won't be derailed. Regards. |
Car Talk / Re: 4-cylinder Engine Vs 6-cylinder Engine by Ricmayak1: 6:49am On Jun 06, 2015 |
I totally agree with all posts that a v6 engine is more powerful, smooth and responsive. However; -Don't think you will outshine a light weight I4 with a heavy weight v6, especially the light ones that still have very good balance. The extra torque/power is already working to move the extra weight. That is why these I4 corollas and camry cars do wonders on the road. -Please, don't try to rudely overtake an I4 full hybrid just because you think it's an I4 (especially on hills). It might disgrace you. Those cars have pretty good acceleration even upto the very top end. The reason being that electric motors have better torque performance than ICEs. Regards... 1 Like |
