RomanceRe: Why Do Men Like Virgins? by rildwanullahi(m): 3:15pm On May 19, 2017
Hyerin:
I'm just curious but I watched a movie were a guy broke up with his girlfriend after he found out she wasn't a virgin (cos initially she lied she was but later told him the truth). Not only in movies do these things happen, but also in reality. Why?

Men want virgins but they themselves aren't virgins. Going to mess up and shxt like that but when females do it. Oh no. She is a slut/LovePeddler etc. Gender inequality much? Not to be a "third wave feminist" or "neo-radical feminist" but this is how I feel. So much is expected of a lady but little is expected of a man. I mean, why?

The world is changing everyday. Stereotypes are being broken. If you expect women to be pure & chaste before marriage then why can't you? (referring to men)

P.S. if you can't be civil or polite. Get off this thread. Don't be a nuisance.
I don't like virgins coz of the issues that come with it

Car TalkRe: Signs To Watch Out For When Its Time To Change Your Spark Plugs by rildwanullahi(m): 8:04am On Feb 23, 2017
AutoReportNG2:
Spark plugs are an integral part of your vehicle's motor as they provide the much-needed spark that ignites the air and fuel mixture within the cylinders. This continuous ignition is what keeps your car moving on the road.

If spark plugs are not checked with regular services, cleaned or changed when necessary, they can cause problems to occur with the vehicle's engine. Below are six signs for when to change your spark plugs.

When to change spark plugs:

1. Engine has a rough idle

Your engine idles when it is a stationary, and in this position, the engine usually produces around 1000rpm. The sound the engine gives off is constant and smooth, but if your spark plugs aren’t performing as they should, your engine will produce a rough and jittery sound while producing larger vibrations through the car. Not having this checked can lead to costly damage being done.

2. Having trouble starting your car?

Many people put their car not starting down to being out of fuel or having a flat battery. One possibility you may overlook is having bad or worn spark plugs. If your spark plugs don’t produce the spark needed to get the vehicle moving, then you’re going nowhere. It is also possible that faulty spark plugs are causing your battery to drain. If so you need to have your battery and spark plugs changed as soon as possible.

3. Your engine misfires

When your engine misfires it causes the vehicle to halt for a fraction of a second and then continues it’s usual movement. This means the vehicle isn’t functioning as smoothly as it should because one or more cylinders aren’t firing properly, which can also lead to higher amounts of emissions.

4. Engine surging

When a vehicle sucks in more air than usual in the combustion process it can cause the vehicle to jerk and then slow down or continually start and stop, which means the vehicles engine is working inefficiently. This is also known as engine hesitation and dangerous situation can arise if this occurs in traffic.

5. High fuel consumption

If your spark plugs have deteriorated you’ll notice that your vehicle's fuel economy can decrease by up to 30% due to incomplete combustion. If you notice you’re having to fill up more often than usual it can be caused by deteriorating spark plugs. To get back to your vehicle’s optimum level of fuel consumption all you’ll need to do is have your spark plugs changed.

6. Lack of acceleration

If your vehicle is accelerating poorly it is fairly easy to tell. It feels as if the vehicle doesn’t want to respond when you put your foot down, or it does but not instantly as you’ve become accustomed to. It can also feel as if your vehicle is trying really hard to pull itself along. This ‘sluggishness’ can be easily fixed by having the vehicle serviced with a spark plug change.

Do you know any other signs of when to change spark plugs? Let us know in the comments below!

NYSCRe: Why Abia State Nysc Camp Is One Of The Best In Nigeria by rildwanullahi(m): 10:47am On Feb 13, 2017
Yarnvibes:
You don't need to fight me on this.... Am only talking from my own personal and humble experience on the camp.

"Camp Abia: The first camp in Nigeria", as it is popularly called, is really one of the camps to be for the compulsory three weeks Nysc orientation course. Not just because she is the first on the list of NYSC camp, but she also possess some beautiful features that it's worth talking about.

Before i went for service, trust me, i have heard lots of terrible stories from many people. Even from those that have never being to the gate of any camp. They told me a book-full of different "Faboos". lol....

I heard about the terrible lifestyle on camp; the maltreatment corpers receive from camp soldiers; the sickness and lots more. Am very sure you heard the same stories too, or perhaps you will soon hear them.

My deployment to Abia state did not give me enough opportunity to confirm if those stories are really true, but what i know is that Camp Abia is the contrary of it all. So don't be annoyed if you passed through all those horrible experiences as we were told. Let me give my brief reasons why i will recommend Abia state for any prospective corp member to consider including in their 3 choice of Service.

=> Perfect Location

Abia state camp is located in Umunna, Bende Local government of the state. The location of the camp is perfectly figured out to eliminate every stress and inconvenience any stranger may encounter in locating it. Unlike many camps which are located in the urban area of the state, Abia camp is located away from heavy traffic. So even if thousands of prospective corp members decided to travel down there on same day, traffic will never be a problem. "The sky is wide enough to contain thousand birds at a time".

=> Water

Hmmmmm.... This is a very important factor to consider when ranking Nigeria camps. If you think that's a lie, you better ask people that served in camps like............ they will tell you how important water is to corpers over one thousand in number.

But trust me, the water supply in Camp Abia is 24/7. Never stopping. Every corper always have their fill. To wash, to drink, and to take their baths.

Yes, i mean "drink". Camp Abia water is completely drinkable and free of germs. Even if you don't have enough money on camp, the camp is able to completely sustain you in terms of food and water.

=> Food

Camp Abia food is not the "Oh my God" type of food. They don't absolutely go for indigenous foods like some other camps will do. The only one i could remember eating on the camp is Garri (Eba). Which i don't think its too strange as such for any Nigerian youth.

=> Security

The security on this camp is 100%. You have nothing to fear while on the camp. Ranging from the terrible insurgency to the least expected insurgents.... Mosquitoes.

You are completely save from them all. While on Camp Abia, you can sleep with your two eyes closed without the fear of a thing.

=> Hospitality

Camp officials on the camp treats the prospective corp members as their own children. They won't permit maltreatment from any soldier or camp officials.

Good accommodation is on ground for corpers to rest their heads. Not the type that you will need to support the windows or matress with mats or your kaki. But a comfortable one to have good dreams of better Nigeria.

Mammi market traders are also everything to write about. They don't over-inflate their prices beyond normal, and are really helpful in running your little shores for you.

If you want to really confirm these things i have said, consider choosing Abia state and enjoy, not only the Camping life, but also the after-camp experience on the streets of Abia state.

Subscribe to this blog to receive more updates from it. And never you forget to enjoy your service year from start to finish while it lasts.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Do I Continue Schooling Or Accept This Job Offer - So Confused by rildwanullahi(m): 9:08am On Jan 29, 2017
rodDICK:
hello nairalanders I'm in a dilemma right now and I need real advice. I do hope I get a very wise one because I haven't enough time on my clock. the mods can also help me to push this to FP because its my future at stake.
I'm in a position where I don't know whether to continue schooling - MSc, or accept a job offer.
after my BSc, I didn't want to continue on with my course of study because I realised I hadn't much passion for it, I went in to study mathematics because it came my way and at the time I couldn't say no to an admission. so after nysc, I went in to do a PGD in geography and environmental management. i already had love for the geosciences. came out with a good result that qualified me for a MSc in any of the related discipline. I applied for environmental hazard management and got the admission.
at this point things became more difficult with the recession and it is clear to me that I won't be having any support. school fees has increased and the cost of running the MSc has gone high. on the other side, I've been applying for jobs as a HSE officer/manager which I have some years of experience working during the break within my programs. I just missed a job in nestoil because my guy in there didn't act fast to recommend me when there was emergency vacancy. however, because of the disappointment they have offered me a job as a HSE officer in a seismic company. they have asked me to come on Monday 30th January.
by calendar I'm suppose to start MSc lectures on the same date. I have drained my brain thinking of what to do....whether to take the job and differ my admission perhaps, or to go on with the MSc and ignore the job for now...
I know that a lot of you folks out there have been in a similar situation or you know someone who was. please your advice is needed, I don't want to make a mistake that I will regret...and I just have less than 2 days before the interviews on Monday morning.
please mods help me get this to front page. I'm depending on their advice. this is my last resort. thanks
op please please please and please take the Job, you will be surprised how much your experience will earn you, sometimes experience is equal to qualifications. Take it biko
