Career › Re: Drama In The Office As I Tender My Resignation After Getting A New Job. by rildwanullahi(m): 9:21am On Feb 21, 2016 |
sirculynz: After my service July last yr, my company refused to staff me, that I can only be employed as a trainee engr which comes with only small stipend. So I wrote this particular test online on July for one multi national company in lekki. 2 months later I got a text from them to come for interview, I was surprised. I went there. I was interviewed by an indian, the interview was so intense, he asked me many questions including sm calculations on electrical engr, I tink I got most. That interview lasted for abt 30mins each prsn & we where just 15. On dec, I got a call from them to come for medicals. By Jan I waited for them, I was tempted to go & find out my status from them @ their office but I kept cool. So on wed evening as I was leaving office I got a call from the HR of this new company, & she asked me to come tomorrow for their offer letter. When I went there & saw their offer, it was wow. we were 7, they apologised to us for taking this long to finally recruit us, that we were the lucky ones out of thousands of applicants & they had to do thorough screening. Omo that night I couldn't sleep, happiness won kill me. So the next morning when I went to my office to resign, I first told my boss, he was shocked cos I was one of his top engrs that delivers well. When I went to the HR to submit the letter. She asked abt the new company & i told her. She quickly had a meeting with sm top ogas & even the MD. Right there, she printed an offer letter, I was shocked. So after all this while, na now una know my importance. I told her dt my new company is gonna pay me 3x this offer & it's an international company with job security. After I greeted sm friends I left knowing fully well I'm going to a far better place. I'm resuming this Monday & I can't wait to get started. So my fellow Job seekers, I wish u all the best. There are still good jobs out there u can get without knowing anybody. This year shall be our year of plenty testimonies. Please ignore my typo errors** what's the name of the company, you resigned from, I need a job |

OrlandoOwoh: Nonsense! There is hardly any reigning musician in Nigeria that has good lyrics. What you call lyrics can best be described as rhymes. Take one of Timaya's lines, for example, " leave me make I fill my glass, me and you no dey the same class, Holy Ghost dey by my side and him carry big cutlass." In that line, you will notice "s" in glass, class and cutlass. These words don't correlate in the song. In fact they are meaningless. Remove the names on that list and put: Ebenezer Obey, I. K. Dairo, Osita Osadebe, Rex Lawson, Orlando Owoh, Ayinla Omowura, Bill Friday, Morocco Maduka, etc. what's the title of the song please, if you have it can you share it |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I got two Job Offers, which should I choose? I'm Confused..... Advice Please!!!! by rildwanullahi(m): 8:39pm On Jan 01, 2016 |
areyemi: First and foremost, I want to thank seun for this platform.
I finished my NYSC July 2nd last year and ever since then i've been on a lookout.
Just early this week I got two job offers one with a startup company offering to pay 55K and another with a bank as an HR personnel and i'm been offer roughly 75k, but i'm confused on which of this two offers to go for.
Owing to the news of hire and fire in the banking industry, i'm really skeptical on resuming work on Monday, 4th of january.
Please, I need your advise. Thanks and God bless.

Atmmachine: Bullshit. I repeat again, Bullshit.
Banning the use of ATM cards abroad ain't the solution to Naira's problem. You can't send Western union out from Nigeria to other countries, when Nigerians abroad get low on cash and decides to steal, Una go say them dey bring us bad name. Another bullshit. Who are you gonna deceive with that pile of steaming shiit you just wrote. I have a degree in Marketing. You're making Nigerians look uneducated. Have you heard of Pegged Exchange Rate ?? It's a type of Exchange Rate regime where a currency's value is fixed against either the value of another single currency. In a fixed exchange-rate system, a country’s central bank typically uses an open market mechanism and is committed at all times to buy and/or sell its currency at a fixed price in order to maintain its pegged ratio and, hence, the stable value of its currency in relation to the reference to which it is pegged. The central bank provides the assets and/or the foreign currency or currencies which are needed in order to finance any payments imbalances. The last large economy to use a fixed exchange rate system was the People's Republic of China which, in July 2005, adopted a slightly more flexible exchange rate system called a managed exchange rate. The European Exchange Rate Mechanism is also used on a temporary basis to establish a final conversion rate against the Euro (€) from the local currencies of countries joining the Eurozone. Jamaica, United kingdom and the United States of America also used the method.
I wish i can see you face to face so i can seize your degree and send your ass back to primary school you can send now |

dlox147: A simple Google search will help you. Pics of my current location. 1. A gas compressor 2&3. Co2 fire extinguisher system my brother don't just try fighting gas fire, but on a more serious note, the gas compressor will do what? Remember that once the fire starts the only solution is to put off the fuel source in the case of gas, but others any of the 3 trident will do |
Nairaland General › Re: Fire Out Break At Chicason Gas Plant In Nnewi, Scores feared dead by rildwanullahi(m): 5:48am On Dec 25, 2015 |
dlox147: sorry Oga you are wrong! CO2 and foam is used to fight gas fire. Co2 displaces the oxygen which completes the fire triangle.... you are over wrong, I bet you are not yet in the field, I work in a gas company, that is what you will be told but as long as the gas keeps coming the fire continues |
Nairaland General › Re: Fire Out Break At Chicason Gas Plant In Nnewi, Scores feared dead by rildwanullahi(m): 5:57pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
Duru1: This is typical growth without progress. Nigeria is a practical zoo. How can any reasonable fellow operate liquefied petroleum gas plant without adequate equipment to fight accidental fire? The plant must have its unit of fire fighters and necessary compounds to fight fire outbreak or explosion. oga nothing can be used to quench gas fire |

Career › Re: He Earns More Than Half A Million Per Month Yet He's So Unhappy With His Job by rildwanullahi(m): 1:19pm On Dec 14, 2015 |
nyben4eva: Hello nairalanders,a very good friend of mine came to me a couple of days ago with a detailed epistle of the trauma he faces with his job and how he's opted to quit, but insists on my advice before he hands in his resignation letter:
"I got my job six months after my NYSC and March 2015 was my eight years of working for the company. As an engineer, the job isn't my kind of job as it exposes me to lots of dangers and keeps me away from my family for at least six months every year. My salary is more than half a million per month, yet I don't find joy doing what I'm been paid to do.
Thinking of my kids each time I leave home for work and how they cry to go with me is such a feeling that makes me wish I never had the job in the first place and at the same time, the thought of how they would fare if I quit without laying a proper foundation for their future makes me reconsider my decision and keep telling myself that I have to keep on going.
Though,I have most of the necessary things to make life a bit easier, but I'm always sad whenever is time to go to work.My wife on the other hand, tries to convince me before I'll finally make up my mind.It has been like this right from the onset, yet things aren't changing. The most annoying aspect is that of my employers,an American company. They drain every bit of my energy and always remind me of how jobs are very scarce in Nigeria.
Right now,I have a business that could be fetching me at least two hundred thousand naira per month with lots of rooms for expansion and I feel so delighted that I'm going to become my own boss. The happiness I derive from trying to do my own business is so boundless, but my problem is this: I don't want to go back to the same job once I quit".
Should I ask him to quit or continue with the job?Is happiness more important than pay?I need very intelligent answers, please. Abeg Abeg Abeg Abeg Abeg Abeg Abeg I dey beg you, once he is about to, I would gladly replace him |

I'm not sure Islam is really a religion of peace as they claim because no other religion has caused the death of so many people in this world.
As a matter of fact the religion claims more lives in a year than any tsunami ever have world war 1 $ 2, the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan was Muslim, your mumu na die |
