My wife and I are duly blessed with a son who is in his basic 5 now. Also, we decided to get the daughter of one of my cousin to stay with us. She is one of 7 children. So I wanted to help raise a CHIMAMANDA.
As my rule, every child of same age under my room attends the same school and calls us Dad & Mum. The school part didn't quite seat well with my wife, who had a different opinion, but I prevailed anyway. Because na me dey pay school fees.
The girl is a year older than my son, but due to the level of education at the village before she came over, we made her be in the same class as my son. She met my son in primary 2. Now they are both in basic 5.
A shocker happened: This girl keeps coming up in the class, while my son keeps running away from the top. We've tried extra lessons, even tried changing schools. Now it looks as if the girl is better suited for school than my boy. She reads, spells and memorizes things too marvellous. I bought a dictionary cos of that.
I even buy gifts for her (for coming top) more than I do for my boy, to make him sit up, but my pikin nor send me o. Guy use cry & Woman power make me buy am bicycle. 😁
I would think he's being a spoilt boy, who believes daddy & mommy is there, I don't really know. But I am hopeful.
Now, my major issue is my heavily pregnant wife. She wants the girl to be changed/enrolled at a different school. In her defence, she wants her to be available to help her take care of things. The kid's school close by 3pm. She suggest government school that close earlier. I see sense in what she said but I feel like I'll be unfair to this young girl.
When I tried to have a healthy debate on the idea. Na so madam start to dey talk plenty tins wey I nor fit type. I have accepted to do her wish from September for peace.

She's wrong and please don't allow that your wife prevail over you on this. Jealousy is starting to creep in. If it gets too much, send that pikin back to her parents and you can still pay her fees from wherever you are. Do not allow your wife to do what's in her mind because she doesn't have anything good for that girl as she's sensing the girl is gradually taking over your sons place in your life. Aviation experts have questioned the decision of the Airline Operators of Nigeria to place a passenger, Ms Comfort Emmason, on a lifetime no-flight list, describing the move as unlawful and outside the association’s authority.
Their reaction follows a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of AON, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, who on Monday said the passenger had been banned from flying with any AON member airline, both domestically and internationally, for life.
Okonkwo had referenced an incident involving Ms Emmason, who was said to have acted unruly on an Ibom Air flight on Sunday. He stated that AON had reviewed the airline’s report and fully endorsed its handling of the situation.
“We commend the airline for its swift and professional handling of this unfortunate event and fully endorse the actions taken,” Okonkwo said.

However, aviation stakeholders have questioned the legality of the association’s decision, arguing that only regulatory bodies like the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority have the authority to impose such penalties.
A retired pilot and former Chief Pilot of the now-defunct Associated Airlines, Capt. Muhammed Badamasi, told The PUNCH that AON, as a private association, lacks the legal grounds to enforce a no-fly ban.

It’s the responsibility of the regulatory authorities that have such power. They can only report to the NCAA, which then determines if any sanction is necessary,” he argued.
Supporting this view, aviation security expert and former military officer, Retired Group Captain John Ojikutu, said while individual airlines may reserve the right to deny service to passengers, AON as a group has no legal mandate to issue flight bans.
“Airlines can choose not to carry a passenger, just as passengers have rights. But AON cannot act as a regulator; they don’t have any extant law backing such a ban,” he said.
Ojikutu further explained that any such decision must align with national aviation laws and protocols, insisting that “The AON can’t exercise such powers. It is alien to established rules and regulations.”
He stressed that only under specific circumstances, such as violations of national security protocols, can a passenger be placed on a no-fly list, and only by relevant government authorities empowered by law.
The controversy has raised fresh questions about the boundaries of authority in the Nigerian aviation sector and the role industry associations can or should play in enforcing discipline among air passengers.

Speaking during a service at the Paradise City Zion headquarters in Bomadi, Delta State, the cleric—revered by his followers as the “Field Marshall of the Prophetic” and “Secret Revealer of the Niger Delta”—said he saw a vision of Jonathan emerging victorious in the 2027 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
“I see President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock leading this country again. If he chooses to run in 2027, he will return as President. There will be prosperity, and the people will rejoice,” Serimoedumu declared.
According to him, the prophecy revealed four years of economic growth and national happiness during Jonathan’s second tenure.
The prophet also recounted a vision connected to the 2023 elections, in which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima appeared to him. In the vision, Tinubu allegedly promised to serve only one term and sought Serimoedumu’s prophetic endorsement—while Shettima appeared displeased by the plan.
“I saw Tinubu seated on a chair with Shettima on the floor beside him. Tinubu asked for my support, promising to run only one term. However, Shettima seemed unhappy about the one-term plan,” he revealed.
Prophet Serimoedumu described these revelations as “awe-inspiring secret things” and reaffirmed his prophetic role in Nigerian politics.
His message adds fuel to growing speculation over whether Goodluck Jonathan, who served from 2010 to 2015, will make a historic comeback in 2027.
