malali: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot continue to look away while his administration is hijacked by reckless loudmouths like Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to Nyesom Wike. This is a man who has built a reputation not on defending Nigerians, not on exposing corruption, not on championing reforms, but on threatening citizens with impunity and disdain.
For years, Olayinka has made treasonous remarks, speaking as though Nigerians should be decapitated for daring to comment on national issues. And now he dares to call for gagging social media, demanding bottlenecks and gatekeeping to silence Nigerians. What he has never once called for is the prosecution of looters, the dismantling of corruption networks, or accountability within government.
This is the face of a deeper rot: unelected aides who talk down to the electorate as if they were mob enforcers, not public servants. Nigerians did not elect Lere Olayinka. He has no mandate. His only qualification appears to be a reckless mouth and loyalty to a political boss. Yet his voice is amplified from inside Tinubu’s government, poisoning public trust and making the president himself the target of growing resentment.
Enough is enough. If Tinubu is serious about discipline and respect in his administration, he must fire Lere Olayinka immediately. Political appointees can squabble in private, but when addressing Nigerians, they must do so with humility and respect. Anything less is abuse of the very people who gave Tinubu his mandate. Every day Olayinka remains in office is another day Tinubu’s presidency is undermined by arrogance, contempt, and disregard for Nigerians. The time to act is now. Fire Lere Olayinka.
Does Tinubu look like someone that knows what he doing?
holygeral: The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) will know by Friday, August 29, whether it can proceed with the local government elections scheduled for August 30.
This follows the adjournment of a case at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt in a suit filed by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) against RSIEC, the Rivers State Sole Administrator, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and another respondent.
The ADC is contesting the legality of the recently appointed RSIEC Chairman and members, appointed by the Sole Administrator, insisting that they lack the authority to revalidate the election timetable
They want to hear from their oga before they decide on what to say as their "verdict" now they've heard from their oga, they want to seat
Toruibestate: Come back Goodluck Jonathan Rally took place at PDP Headquarters Abuja today. Note: when GEJ came out to debunk the Wizkid Instagram Account of his saying it wasn't from him, he never debunk the rumour of his second coming.
He never said the PDP Presidency he wouldn't come because he went to the last convention and said he see Nigeria calling him to serve again hence the chant GEJ GEJ everywhere. North had learnt their lesson and now begging for him to come back.

Erikiel: Almost every households, communities are doing this, it has become not only a habit but culture, for people burying the dead in their households.
There are designated places for burying the dead, like the cemetery, or graveyard. Some religious bodies or churches have burial grounds in their surroundings specifically for burying the dead.
What do you think make people prefer burying the dead in their houses or compounds?
What became of those corpses buried in the old cemetery close to old Mr. Biggs eatery at Rumuigbo PH? Cemetery was demolished and a building erected.

SolaOmoniyi: Conservative leader decries wave of racist abuse following historic election victory
Kemi Badenoch, the first Black woman to lead the Conservative Party, has spoken candidly about the racism and hostility she has faced since her election, admitting she was unprepared for the intensity of the attacks.
Speaking to journalists, Badenoch revealed that although she had long described Britain as “the best place in the world to be Black,” the reaction to her leadership has exposed an undercurrent of abuse directed at her race and ethnicity.
TimeManager: Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has sparked controversy after reacting to Peter Obi’s condolence visit to the family of late Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai.
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, visited the Rufai family on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at their residence in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos—one day after the football icon was buried.
Obi, accompanied by former international Sylvanus Okpala, spent time with the family, offered prayers, and signed the condolence register.
He explained that he had only learned of the burial date the day before, while in Abuja, and flew to Lagos early that morning to pay his respects.
However, shortly after the visit, Olayinka took to social media to question the motive behind Obi’s action.
The tweet appeared to link Obi’s visit to earlier comments made by former Super Eagles defender Taribo West, who had criticized the silence of Nigerian Football Federation and other local football association following Rufai’s death.
Olayinka suggested that Obi’s visit was a reaction to that criticism and aimed more at gaining media attention than offering genuine condolence.
His remarks sparked mixed reactions online.
While critics of Obi echoed Olayinka’s view, accusing the former Anambra governor of using the visit for publicity, others defended Obi’s actions, describing them as sincere and timely given his explanation.
This Lere is just behaving like an overfed baby. I am just wondering how his wife is coping with this kid in a grown man's body.
helinues: Ogun state is yet to have better governor. Most of those who have been governing don't know the extent of the potentials of the state not to talk of the proximity with Lagos state, sharing border with Oyo state, sharing border with neighbouring country Benin
If the new Cargo airport is well maintained, it should serve as strategic airport for cargo exporting shipment in Southern Nigeria specifically.
Ogun State dey always produce terrible people as Governors. Very blessed but backward state.
Helinues and his fellow hungry goons left the group chat. Una see wetin una so called Pastor who calls himself EFCC Chairman dey do. Class of evil men ruling Nigeria.
PresidentMUGABE: I'm scared for Nigerian women in the next 10 to 15 years. When I look at Gegeh's doctrines and the number of young men who followed him, lots of Nigerian women will face a massive decline in masculine men.
Therefore there will be lots of masculine women. Gehgeh is teaching men not to be responsible. Running away from responsibility, which is one of the principles of turning a boy into a man.
This isn't rocket science! If the men are running away from being responsible men who work and take care of themselves and their women, the women will have to work hard and become the men they wish they had.
Sadly, the same men will hate their women because they will become aggressive, competitive, less agreeable, dominant and masculine traits are opposing to men in the dating market.
Women are not built to face toughness. Men are built for it. Men becoming women is a choice of weakness; women becoming men is a choice of survival.
We need men to be men and women to be women. It's what its...
GehGeh isn't a problem. Go and look for a solution to your problem and leave the young man alone. He's hustling.
Quizzzzz these trio and you'll find out the Truth. It's so unfortunate that Mohbad died for nothing. Mohbad was killed, the onus is on the Police to unravel that guys death but even the Police are still busy breeding corruption. Wunmi and her mom knows what killed Mohbad.
Who takes him serious. Corruption 001 himself. From looting Rivers state dry to land grabbing. He should keep feeding his ego. Rotimi Amaechi is 100 times better than Wike. Amaechi has a heart, Wike doesn't. He's a greedy being and ruthless.
treesun: Damning US public records obtained by West Africa Weekly have revealed that Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, secretly acquired a $2 million Florida mansion in March, registering it under the names of his children, Joaquin, Jazmyne, and Jordan, and his wife, Justice Eberechi Wike. Records further show that Justice Wike is a registered member of the U.S. Democratic Party, potentially placing her in violation of Nigeria’s Judicial Code of Conduct.
According to the documents, the Wike family recently obtained the property located on Spring Creek Lane in Winter Springs, Florida.
A West Africa Weekly source who did not wish to be named revealed that theproperty was purchased in a private transaction in March 2025, with Wike deliberately omitting his name from the transaction while using the names of his wife and children, in an attempt to get around questions involving asset disclosure and the source of funds used to purchase the property. According to public records, the Wike family’s new U.S. residence is a 2-storey mansion built in 1997, sitting on a 4,076-square-foot lot, complete with a garage and two parking spaces. The property is located at 113 Spring Creek Lane, Winter Springs, Florida 32708.
The newly unconvered acquisition raises further questions about the conduct of Wike, who was recently implicated in a $3.6bn FCT land-grab scandal involving his son, Joaquin. Given that the total annual salary and allowances of a Nigerian cabinet minister officially comes to about N7.8m (roughly $5,000), it is unclear how Wike obtained over $2m to purchase the Florida property, which raises serious concerns surrounding illicit enrichment and money laundering, potentially violating Nigeria’s Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, by funnelling embezzled taxpayer funds into U.S. real estate.
The involvement of his wife, Justice Eberechi Wike, also conflicts with the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers (Rule 1.2 and 5c), which demands strict adherence to ethical standards for judges, and the avoidance of all impropriety or appearance of impropriety.
Public records further reveal that Justice Eberechi Wike is a card-carrying member of the US Democratic Party, which is expressly forbidden by the Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers (Rule 9.3a) which states, “It is not appropriate for a Judicial Officer to participate in an organization if its objects are political or if its activities are likely to expose the Judge to public controversy.”
It will be recalled U.S. Embassy in Abuja in July published a post on X purporting to criticise Nigerian public officials for wasteful spending of public funds. It remains unclear how the US government which purports to oppose financial corruption by Nigerian public officials could be unaware of potential multimillion dollar real estate money laundering in Florida by a serving Nigerian cabinet minister.
