banku: The fear of privileged Rulers of Nigeria forming coalition against APC is what may return Tinubu for a second term.
Even those who do not like Tinubu can see the plot. If they are not in power, whoever is in power must fall.
This is how Jonathan got elected after Acting President. Though he latter got cocky and stepped on the toes of those that worked for him. The reason he lost his second term. There's nothing like gang up oga, Tinubu did same in 2015. |

Romance › Re: My Recent Encounter With A Lady I Was Introduced To For A Serious Relationship by RISQUE: 5:53pm On Jul 01, 2025 |
drehdinho: A lady was introduced to me by a street sister after I mentioned that I was in search of a serious relationship. I gave a clear list of my requirements, among which were that she must be gainfully employed and of good character.
Two days ago, the sister finally shared the contact of the lady she found for me. I was hopeful, thinking she would at least meet 80% of my criteria.
When I initiated a conversation with the lady, I asked about her educational background. She told me she was a secondary school drop-out. I didn’t judge her immediately, I wanted to hear more and not jump to conclusions.
So, I asked what steps she had in mind to upgrade herself. She said she wanted to go into business and gave a rough estimate of ₦3.5 million as startup capital.
Still, I wasn’t discouraged. I told her that if I were to invest in the business, I would hold 60% of the company while she holds 40%. My reason was simple: I wanted her to be accountable and run the business with a sense of ownership.
To my surprise, she rejected the idea. She said she wanted 100% ownership because she is “trustworthy” and that I could observe her for one year to see if she wouldn’t mismanage the business.
I let that conversation slide.
Then, a few days later, during another conversation, I asked her what she was bringing to the table in the relationship. Her response? Just “prayer.” 😂
At this point, I started enjoying the conversation ,not because I was impressed, but because her responses were becoming increasingly ridiculous.
I asked her another question: How much do you think we would need per month to live as husband and wife? Her answer: ₦1 million.
I asked her to break it down. She couldn’t. She just kept rambling and listing irrelevant things with no clarity or structure.
This morning, she called me via WhatsApp video. While we were talking, the call ended. I tried calling her back, but the video didn’t connect. I noticed she was typing, so I waited.
Next thing I saw was: “My data got exhausted.”
From the very beginning, I knew I was way above her standard , intellectually, financially, and in life exposure. But I decided to subject her brain to an intelligent conversation to prove a point: most of these broke ladies have absolutely nothing meaningful to offer.
To my fellow hustling men who have sacrificed and worked hard to become something in life , please don’t settle for women like this. Look out for women who have built themselves to a meaningful stage in life.
I have two degrees. I’m a lawyer. And here is a lady, a secondary school drop-out , who thinks, in her oblivion, that she can hook a man of my calibre.
I called the sister who introduced her and clearly told her never to bring such people my way again.
I know how this kind of story ends: you help them build a life, and the moment they start seeing a little change, you’ll see their true colours. Many of them think the only thing they need to offer in life is their body.
I’ve cut off communication with her already, and I’m planning to block her on WhatsApp.
Her unreasonable thought process completely turned me off. So many ridiculous ideas. It’s just mentally exhausting. Why man like you dey look for a sister to recommend a prospective wife to you? You sure say you dey ok? This era wey things don spoil. Guy, enter market and look for a good wife yourself no go make mistake oooh because if you marry wrong woman your own don finish be that. |

Politics › Re: Pastor Adeboye Vs President Tinubu; The Truths And Lies! by RISQUE: 2:31pm On Jun 30, 2025 |
Daejumong: Pastor Adeboye vs President Tinubu. Why are unbelievers and even some Christians in Nigeria unhappy that Pst Adeboye hasn’t publicly criticized the government and the President? Why are people on social media angry that Pst Adeboye is leading national prayers for Nigeria’s economic problems? Why are they trying to make him a scapegoat for the economic challenges of the country?
My thoughts: - Is Pastor Adeboye, the only religious leader in Nigeria? Why is he being unfairly singled out? - Idris Abdulkarim, a popular musician and muslim, criticised Pst Adeboye in his song, Emilokan, for his apparent silence but Never had the Liver to publicly criticise the Sultan of Sokoto and other top muslim leaders - If Pst Adeboye stages a protest and starts criticising every move of the government , would anything really change? Does Tinubu look like someone that can be easily persuaded from his convictions? Someone that called the bluffs of a sitting president and publicly stated he installed him during the lead up to the elections. - Have you noticed nobody calls out Jerry Eze, Apostle Selman or other younger men of God for not criticising the government . Is there an agenda by the media against Pst Adeboye? - Many do not know that Tinubu used to invite Pastor Adeboye for yearly state prayers(Annual Lagos State thanksgiving service )between 1999 and 2005 when he was governor. He can easily correct and advise him privately! Moreso, Tinubu’s wife is his spiritual daughter(a pastor in his church) hence he can easily share his thoughts and criticisms with her! - Finally, Jesus Christ (our perfect role model) never criticised Herod or Caesar even though the Israelites were under Roman control and domination. He kept quiet throughout the time John the Baptist was in prison. He solely faced His ministry and never got distracted .
1 Timothy 2:1-2 1 -I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness
Dae Jumong No dey cap careless for here, go and find something doing. |

Bestman241: Last week Friday I started begging my wife for us to have sex since it’s been over a year we had it. Anytime I requested for sex, it’s always one excuse on top another about how she’s lost drive for sex completely. Mind you, I’m not inconveniencing her at all as I do most of the house chores and foot 100% of the billings. The only thing I sometimes refused to do is send money to her parents due to heavy demands from her.
So, on Friday after heavy persuasion lasting into hours, she yielded in and we had sex. On Saturday, I received German police at my door asking about my wife. I called her out and before I knew what was happening, they started asking her if she’s safe which she told them she’s not. They took her to a makeshift apartment pending when they finish investigation on me. I have received a case file which I must respond to and present myself this morning (Monday).
I’ve never treated my wife badly even when it’s obvious I lost control of the home . She’s the one always insulting, always speaking to her male colleagues at late hours, not joining her to do anything at home.
Tired. I don’t know what to do from here Another one. Only God fit save some marriages. Pele |

Islam › Re: Sudden Death Is One Of The Signs Of The Last Hour by RISQUE: 1:46pm On Jun 27, 2025 |
Lukgaf: In recent days, the society has been shaken by heartbreaking news of sudden deaths especially among the youth.
Just two days ago, the Yorùbá Muslim community mourned the passing of our beloved Ustadh Luqman Abu Sufyan Al Almaiy, a vibrant soul dedicated to Islamic knowledge. The very next day, another brother who had posted a reflective note about the scholar, himself did not wake up the following.
Walai, this is not just saddening, it is terrifying!
It is a reminder that death is not just for the old or the sick. It comes unannounced, and sometimes with no warning. Indeed, death is closer to each of us than we often dare to admit.
The Prophet ﷺ mentioned that one of the signs of the Last Hour is the prevalence of sudden death. This is our reality today.
So we must ask ourselves:
Are we truly prepared to meet our Lord?
What if our own clock clicks tonight, what would we leave behind?
Are we in a state that we would love to meet Allah with?
Let us take this as a sincere reminder. Let us increase in righteous deeds, mend our relationships, keep our tongues moist with dhikr, hasten to repentance, and refrain from sins—no matter how small they may seem.
We ask Allah to forgive all deceased Muslims, especially those who have recently passed. And may He grant the rest of us long lives filled with sound faith, peace, wealth, and good health. Ameen. You guys should be careful the manner you create threads talking about things much more deeper than you. |
Family › Re: My Marriage Is Shaking: I Settle All Bills Abroad by RISQUE: 10:38am On Jun 27, 2025 |
Liazz: Am I being unreasonable being mad at my wife? We relocated abroad 3 years ago but she isn't helping to settle any of the bills.
We both are gainfully employed though I earn much than she does. Our monthly expenditure is about £2000 and she doesn't care to help in any way. I foot all bills making me struggle to save while she keeps all she earns to herself. We also had a loan of over 10 thousand pounds to settle when we relocated, she didn't help with a dime till I paid all bits by bits which took me almost 2 years.
Despite this, I still help with house chores like taking care of our kids, home cleaning and even washing dishes though she does all the cooking. I've expressed my displeasure several times but she keeps insisting I can't force her to financially assist, it's my job as I'm the husband. She seems convinced she isn't doing any wrong and no sign of remorse whatsoever.
I financed our relocation 100% without her contributing a dime.
This is causing a strain in the marriage and I am thinking if I am unreasonable in my demand, am I? Your comments are highly welcome. Honestly, you have a wrong woman by your side and to make matters worst, you carry her go abroad una no dey listen but later una go come here dey disturb us with annoying stories. There are two things here; I am very sure you know this behavior of your wife before you travelled abroad with her. She can't just develop the behavior of keeping her money to herself while you spend yours, its been there but you ignored it. End note; you don't carry such women abroad rather, both of you should remain in Nigeria to avoid issues as you can manage it in Nigeria. Secondly, No woman who was supportive to you in terms of giving you the little she could afford while in Nigeria can not suddenly refuse to contribute bring aware that you were in debt for 2years and was paying up £10,000 and despite paying it off still continues in same behavior. You don carry wetin pass you, just pray you don't fall into depression in a foreign land. Also, I will not tell you what to do because the mistakes on your part is numerous, take a decision like a man and save your head. Inasmuch as there are lots of Nigerian ladies here doing a lot of negative things there are still good ones that contribute to run their homes some even sacrifice a higher percentage of their salaries more than their husband's, the few bad ones are always the ones making headlines making it look like Nigerian ladies abroad are bad which is not. Advice: Take your time and discuss it over again with your wife and if she doesn't agree to what you say, forget about its because of my children that I'm doing this, kind of words, take a stand and follow it. Your mental health is very important. No dey over work yourself to put food in your house while your wife dey treat you like you are nothing, it's a sign of foolishness on your part. |
