AnambraPeople: Exceptional Lawyer, Dr. Ikpeazu, SAN, Loses Another Daughter.
The Nigerian legal community is once again in mourning following the tragic death of Chineze Ikpeazu, daughter of renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, who died in a fatal accident on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Chineze, a brilliant young law graduate, had recently passed her final Bar examinations and was scheduled to be called to the Nigerian Bar in the coming days. Her death, occurring at the threshold of a promising legal career, has left many shocked and heartbroken.
The news was formally disclosed in court on Wednesday by Abdul Mohammed, SAN, who held brief for Dr. Ikpeazu during the trial of suspended DCP Abba Kyari at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Mohammed informed the court that Dr. Ikpeazu, devastated by the loss, was unable to attend the proceedings.
“Out of respect for the court, he directed me to come and convey the sad news,” Mohammed said. “She was about to be called to the Bar before the tragic accident.”
This is the second tragic loss of a daughter Dr. Ikpeazu has suffered in just over two years. Recall that he lost his second daughter, 31-year-old Nwankie Ikpeazu, to the cold hands of death on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Her daughter’s classmates have taken to social media to rally around the Ikpeazu family, describing Chineze’s death as not just a personal tragedy, but a profound loss to the legal profession as a whole. Tributes continue to pour in from colleagues, friends, and professional bodies.
DeZoro: I entered a mall in Toronto to.buy coke and the amount will amaze you. Two dollar and forty nine cent ($2.49).
Using the price of 50cl Coke in Canada versus Nigerian which is about Four Hundred naira (N400), I am suspecting that the ingredients are different combination. It means the Coke sold in Nigeria malls and shop are adultereted or of less ingredients.
I have attached the receipt of the Coke for verification in case you doubt..
I bought sprite today at £2.55 and it tastes so different as well. Likewise their fanta. I they use ingredients that are healthier for their soft drinks.

Exactly what I said. Wike struck a deal with Tinubu for 2031 that's why he can't contest but they will betray the olodo last last
And the so called strong Wike is busy destroying his own state. I keep telling people that Akpabio is 20x wiser than Wike. If you follow the recent happenings, you'd understand why. Akpabio is a wise man despite his short coming.
meobizy: Youth is important when males select mates. The original pictures which came with the advice showed her granny hands, chapped lips and blotched skin. Omotola of those days that men could fight to defend her beauty or acknowledge her presence. Time touched her too. We will all get there.

GistMedia0: Pandemonium broke out at an Access Bank branch when an enraged customer stormed the banking hall and vandalized several properties, claiming the bank had debited him N1.2 million multiple times without resolving his complaint.
According to eyewitnesses, the man walked into the bank around midday, visibly agitated. Moments later, chaos erupted as he began smashing furniture, scattering equipment, and shouting at staff. Customers and bank workers scampered for safety as the man went on a rampage, accusing the bank of ignoring his repeated complaints.
"He said the bank debited him N1.2 million, not once, and that he had visited the branch several times to report the issue but was always dismissed or told to come back later," a witness recounted.
The branch manager and staff quickly evacuated the banking hall while security personnel attempted to calm the situation. Videos of the incident have since gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
It is his hard earned money and you don't play with his emotions despite making efforts to reach out to the bank and was dismissed. I would even destroy more valuable things if I were to be the one. Nonsense.

I called the officer in charge at the ministry of women affairs and social inclusions, IBADAN and she asked me to come this morning, so I set out for the journey around 8:30am.
It's quasi 1:00pm when I got to the ministry which Is located beside the NDLEA office. Immediately I introduced myself, the woman (officer in charge) called the MIL that she should make herself, wife and children available at her office (the phone was on speaker) and I was asked to go and stay outside while she's attending to other people with similar issues. They demanded for #4k i.e. 1k for the letter and 3k for the delivery of the letter at BARIKA
When it's half past 3:00pm, they didn't show up as promised and the woman had to call the mother in-law again and this time around her phone number was switched off, my babies Mama's phone number was not available too.
The officer in charge then told me that there's nothing they could do, she then advised to visit the office of the NSCDC office around Mokola roundabout or SANGO police station. I opted for SANGO police station and she directed me to a policewoman.
I got to the police station and explained my predicament to the policewoman, who demanded for a mobilization fee, I left the police station with the promise to come back. Initially the policewoman was reluctant, saying they don't normally meddle in a matter being handled by the Social Welfare office but she later agreed to assist
My instinct told me to quickly rushed down to their family house at BARIKA, UI second gate, just to check if the MIL was at home or not. The MIL, babies mama and the kids were no where to be found, the door was under lock and key.
Somebody directed me to other family members who are mainly women (the husbands are dead). I explained everything to them with anger and frustration written all over my face. The eldest of the 3 women told that they would see to it. I told them my request that all I wanted is the enrollment of the children in schools and I took my leave
The cost of transportation within Ibadan (town service) is very high plus other expenses at the welfare office, all these gulped my money. I got to the bus terminal at OJOO and I was told that the transport fare to ILORIN is #6,500. I only had 4k left left in my pocket and this was y I was asking for a financial help on NAIRALAND but nobody came to my aid
I opted for ONE CHANCE (4k with AC) and while on the transit, a man bought 3 sachet water and gave me 1, when we alighted and had no means of getting home, I approached the man again and he gave me #500.. The man is working with a research institute in IBADAN but he's from Ilorin, his younger brother married my ex ( the girl is hails Agbaluku -Arigidi, Ikare -Akoko Ondo state). She's also a resident of IBADAN.
UPDATE
I just received a call from NSCDC office at Agodi, Ibadan. They asked me to come but I told them the complainant should give them to bring the letter of invitation to me in ILORIN. I want her feel what I'm feeling, I have to Ibadan 5 times and now they want me to come again. The NSCDC official was telling me that I shouldn't do that.
I told her I was stranded yesterday when I came.
Update
Who's to blame for the communication gap
I called the officer in charge in Sunday to confirm, affirm and reaffirm before embarking on the journey on Monday morning (5th May,2025). She asked to come and I obliged
My wife gave a copy of the letter to NSCDC Agodi and I was called yesterday. The date on the letter as confirmed by the NSCDC is 6th May, 2025 ( Tuesday ) and not 5th May, 2025 (Monday)
While at the welfare office, they asked for money both for the letter and the delivery of the letter ( 1k for the letter and 3k for the delivery at BARIKA). I paid for the letter and promised to send the 3k to the UBA account provided. But when I heard that date is 6th and not 5th I decided not pay the 3k for the delivery.
The officer in charge have been disturbing me with calls to pay the money.
They want me to pay for the service poorly rendered, they are asking me to pay for a job not well done.
I was supposed to travel to IBADAN on Tuesday and not Monday 5th
No dey disturb us with d wahala wey you carry your hand cause. Carry your cross , you hear?
Tinubu's Anambra Visit: APGA Members, Soludo Support Groups Stripped of Uniforms, Warned
Ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's visit to Anambra State today, the Presidency has directed members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor Soludo Support Groups not to wear their uniforms during the President's reception.
Sources close to the matter revealed that this decision was made to avoid giving the event a partisan tone.
According to insiders, the President's visit is primarily in response to an invitation from Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary of the Commonwealth, who is hosting an event at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
The President's political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), had expressed concerns that the visit could be perceived as a vote of no confidence in their governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, especially given the timing in an electioneering period.
A source familiar with the planning of the visit confirmed that the ban on uniforms was one of the conditions set before the President agreed to attend.
"This APGA uniform issue is one of the conditions given before BAT agrees to come," the source said.
Following this directive, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, issued a statement informing attendees of the President's reception to dress in Mufti.
"This is to inform you that everybody coming to Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka for the reception of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu tomorrow( today) should be in Mufti," Dr. Obiogbolu said, adding, "Please, nobody should put on APGA clothes or Support Groups uniforms."
The move aims to emphasize the non-partisan nature of the President's visit, focusing on the commissioning of projects executed by Governor Soludo's administration, without more.
