That dude looks like Jon Hamm. |
Don't tell me ME3 has leaked already! ![]() |
Una no dey tire? Even Chelsea fans realize it's more productive to speculate the diet of a Phoenix than discuss Torres and have since given up ![]() |
Besides Jack, Ryo is the only LANS I'm really looking forward to. Which reminds me, ow is LANSbury faring at West Ham? ![]() |
Manmustwank and his cohorts have gone missing. . . Does this mean they can't find time to post here after their 9 2-5s? |
Pre-tax profit: 49 milli. . . That's almost enough to cop Hazard and Gotze in the summer ![]() |
Whilst nuccahs are still scrambling for top-8, I'm sitting pretty 6 points clear at the top, is anybody home?? ![]() |
At least Chamakh has played for Arsenal extensively before. . . Park is the one i feel really sorry for. Obviously Arsenal play with a lone striker, and RvP has simply refused to get injured/stop scoring, not that I'm complaining! ![]() |
Rosicky picked up a knock, Rambo could be back next week trying his fancy flicks! ![]() |
texazzpete:It's Metacritic aggregate rating is about 80. Obviously one man's meat is another man's cyanide, I'll judge for myself when i play it, that's if i ever do! 2) Using the term 'watered down' to refer to ports is rather amusing. We are discussing the quality of MOBILE GAMES here. using that same logic, it can be argued that 99% of all mobile games are 'watered down'. There are definitely sacrifices that WILL be evident when you compare a 3GB FIFA game on Vita to a 9GB BluRay release on the PS3. That said, reviewers agree that FIFA Soccer on Vita is a largely excellent game and that Virtua Tennis Vita looks very nearly as good as its PS3 counterparts and with the same content as on PS3.You can't tell me how great the Vita's portability is then turn around to say this. You can't eat your cake and have it son! The advantage of portability comes at a price. 9gb - 3gb is stone-wall water-downism! ![]() 3) Lumines is NOT a 'quarter game'. You're taking the very Nigerian approach of looking down at puzzle games. Lumines is one of the best reviewed Vita titles and while I admit that i find the asking price rather too steep, the XBLA version did NOT launch at $5.Sorry, Lumines is quarter a video game. When i recap what video-games I'm playing i don't count Zuma and co. That doesn't mean it's a bad game by any means, I'm sure it's very good. The fact you find the asking price too steep says it all, why don't you find Uncharted's price too steep? I never said it's five bucks on XBLA, i wasn't even aware it was on XBLA. 4) Marvel vs Capcom 2 and blazblue pretty much have all the content that their console counterparts boast. How exactly are they 'watered down'? Does a game automatically become 'watered down' when it appears on a portable console?I haven't played MvC3 on the Vita, only played BlazBlue briefly(haven't played the console version of Extend yet). Perhaps i was wrong to assume they're lacking in content. I agree with you, the vita launch titles aren't exactly the massive slam-dunk Sony and the press were making it out to be, but I think you're unduly harsh on the little consoleHehehe, just too many ports for my liking, and no genuine killer app. Let's hope Gravity Rush lives up to it's billing. |
dipo+:Don't let Ibime see this!! ![]() |

Gervinho and Ox on the bench? Anyhoo, Arsenal will beat Spurs blackish bluish!Hehehe, i expected Spurs to get rimmed cos they were starting to believe their own hype and "favourites" tag. They are much more dangerous as underdogs. |
Dayokanu has gone radio-silent! ![]() |
4llerbuntu:Who needs Arshavin? ![]() |

texazzpete:Seems Sony played the Uncharted card too early to boost sales cos the reviews, while good, haven't been great. Wipeout is decent. The rest are console ports I've already played in 1080p! Lumines has been getting rave reviews everywhere.Lumines is like quarter-a-game. . . It's like an XBLA title you shell out five bucks for! Can you call that a video game with a straight face? ![]() Gravity Daze is a launch window title and looks and feels great. This seems like the only 5-star title but it's still three months away unless you speak Japanese! Marvel vs Capcom 3 is excellent if you like fighters. Ditto for Blazblue.More watered-down console ports I've already played to death. Nothing wrong with Console ports if you havent played the original.Problem is, I have, every single one, no exception! And there's something to be said about portability. As we speak I have my Vita in a pouch beside me ready for a quick game of FIFA. I can't very well lug my PS3 around with me, can i?Well obviously portability is the only advantage otherwise we won't even be having this conversation to begin with. |
dipo+:I'm not in support of his contract renewal, I'm only trying to give a different perspective. Djorou was never 'one of the best performing CBs in the league'. His purple patch last season was commendable only by Arsenal standards (TV5 was injured we had a very shaky looking defense). This is silly, Djourou was one of the best performing CBs by any standard. If i recall correctly Arsenal were actually in the top two/three throughout that period so i don't know how bad "Arsenal standard" could've been. Renewing his contract regardless of how much he earned or earns is a very indefensibly wrong decision as Djorou is worse than any other 4th/5th choice CBs in any of the top 4 teams.I coulda sworn Djourou is in around the same bracket as Chalobah, Coates, Savic, etc and possibly edges them on experience, but as usual your default assumption is the grass is always greener over the hedge. |
ritchboy:Fixed!!! ![]() |
proudly9ja:Bendtner and Denilson aren't running out of contract. . . It makes zero sense to loan out a player for the remainder of his contract and pay his wages, especially when he didn't agitate for a move. I'm quite sure i read somewhere(Dailymail i think) Zenit will pay his wages. |
Homebrews are already running via the PSP emulator ![]() |
Can't wait to see Ryo rip Bosingwa and sons a few new ones ![]() |
debosky:Citeh/Ade is a terrible analogy cos the circumstances are very different, ditto Bendtner/Denilson(i doubt Arsenal pay up to 25% of their wages). There's no way Wenger would let Arshavin go unless Zenit(who can easily afford his full pay) are covering his wages. Besides how is removing an expensive player not performing optimally and NOT replacing him with someone performing efficient? It's simply adding to the already full coffers and we know from the past that it doesn't get reinvested in new talent, rather Wenger will use the difference to give djourou a new deal"Not performing optimally"? Hehehe, he's been shyte! The likes of Benayoun can only be better: WIN-WIN! ![]() |
dipo+:For a transfer to go through, you need: A. A club to show interest in the player and make a tangible offer. B. The player agreeing to move to Turkey, Spain, Babylon or wherever for probably lesser wages. This isn't FIFA manager where you transfer list a player and receive a dozen offers within 24 hours. Even people who have played Football Manager should know how difficult it can be to sell unwanted players. ![]() I need more info on how much Djourou earns on his new contract and when his old one was due to expire before i can pass definite judgement. OK, he isn't exactly a world beater but has shown some potential, just last season he was one of the best performing CBs in the league for a long period. Remember he's only a 4th/5th choice CB. He's one of those players fans love to hate so gets a lot more criticism than he deserves. If you take a minute to compare him with other 4th/5th choice CBs you'd realize you shouldn't hop on every internet-inspired player-hate band-wagon. |
Gervinho, Walcott, Ox, Benayoun, Rosicky, even Park, there are many options. Arshavin's wages were obviously a factor here. How many clubs park their highest earner on the bench indefinitely? ![]() |
Gamine used to be prominent here, she's been AWOL for like a year ![]() |
From the upcoming roster there's Silent Hill: Not expecting any out of the ordinary. Resistance: Could turn out to be be really good, but unlikely to be better than what's currently on offer. Street Fighter X Tekken: No release date yet. LittleBigPlanet: Console port, been there done that. Mortal Kombat: Ditto. Oddworld: Ditto. I'm hardly on the edge of my seat. Hopefully one of the lesser anticipated titles would surprise us. |
Those are basically the exact games I'm playing now if you take out Tekken(haven't touched it in ages) and KoF(haven't played XIII at all). I play SCV the most now cos it just came out obviously. All things being equal MVC3 is easily my favorite. |
Ms. Pac-Man, all-time classic! |
Had my first feel of the Vita today, nothing overly spectacular. Played BB for a bit, didn't feel weird at all, almost as good as the console version. The problem is the best reviewed launch titles aren't that good. . . Wake me up when there is a critically acclaimed title ![]() |
chamotex:You sure? Remember they didn't score an away goal so if Basel manage to score(especially if they score first) then Bayern would need to score three unanswered goals! And this Basel team definitely look like they got goals in em! |
nateevs:Ok, we are saying almost the same thing then. @Islam Feyruz, i was blown away by his ability first time i saw him, i think i said something about him here when he first signed for Chelsea. Hope he isn't playing too well! ![]() |
