If you have up to $10k dollar, you can go for language school on self-funding/scholarship. get a visa. Go to korea. apply for masters in so many schools before the 6moths visa elapsed. while there, you can always extend visa with the $10k. But going directly from nigeria, you will need close to $25k on self-funding.
MCdrinkwater1: Really? How can I go about it, any site or direction pls
Bluekapon: I was in GTB today and was told it's from 50m upwards for primary market henceforth and was given the option of secondary market. First Bank and Zenith told me 1m upwards. Plz, is this the case or was I misinformed?
You are right but, they have division of labour and specialization. Notice that he was called and at the same time, he was coached by someone in dubai. Here you will believe that really TWO GOOD HEAD IS BETTER THAN ONE.
ojesymsym: I personally do not think that those so called yahoo boys are hyper tech smart like that. The major loop holes they look for are the ones made by the owner of the account rather than been able to hack the bank system itself. That guy non be like who even know about chat GPT not to talk of being able to make API calls.
There is no way in this world that that guy in that video will understand lesson 1 in ethical hacking not to talk of becoming a hacker. The truth is that Nigeria is one of the few places in the world with the most access to your account remotely and being able to do the level of transaction outside the banking hall as we are able to do here .
So banks usually have to joggle with letting you have as much remote access as you want and still devising ways to ensure that only you or a person you willingly or otherwise allow to access your account.
They use security layers like 'what only you should know' eg password, BVN, date of birth, 'What only you should have' eg token and then another banks like GTB put another secure question for transfers different from login password to your internet banking.
However, I have heard stories of people looking at their ATM and their token in their front like this and money zapping out from their account, na those ones I never understand but I am convinced that these kind of guys in that video and many of them fronting software, software (which I believe is a database they have been collecting for a while) do not know any IT jack.
The real hackers na eastern Europe, Russia and China them de
Get the contact of your gt account officer. Government fixed it at 50m. Bank can decide what to take from you. You can bargain with your account officer. Stanbic collect 100k min.
Ogelite: Good morning all. Please what is the mininmum amount to invest in treasury bills.I contact Gt fund and they said 2 million naira. Can someone help with firms with lower rates.Thank you
Wotowotoman: That yahoo boy is just too smart for someone that didn’t go to school. This kind person, police suppose to dey use am well to learn
Hahhaa.
he stopped in SS2 but i bet you that he uses tech gadgets well. If you give him your sim card, you will know that he has an AI like chatgpt that can go to any site to pull your information.
I hope you heard when he said that he only needs your sim card.
If you see him on the street you will believe that he is one of the area boys.
I am not a lawyer or a police. But She must have clicked the wrong site and supplied information. there are many app and sites which once you click on, will hide on your phone and also will be sending your info and details to another person.
You even have a genuine case because no one should change a phone number without filling a form on the bank. You can consult a lawyer to write to the bank demanding the permission they received to change the phone number (lawyers will know how to do it better). Because to change common address is not easy not to talk of phone number.
Then police can help you track the number, including where it was used before, NIN and address it was registered to. Possibly even the people they have called before and other phone number linked to the same NIN. it may take 3 years or more because the person must have dropped the phone and line. But i am afraid it will take you knowing the police guy because its not going to be easy for him too as he will require so many court orders to penetrate into someone's privacy which is a good turn off. Also police can get court order and write to oxl to get every details of the account that made the purchase. This is what i think may work but its not an advice, do you own investigation and follow your heart.
Streetinvestor2: Pls let me hear your opinion on my wife case with zenith bank.My wife tried shopping online believing it was the regular site she has been using. This was around 3pm on a working day.The transaction failed. Then around 5pm she got a debit of #1 naira.within 1 minutes she got different alert of 1 million and the whole money in the account cleared.since the banks already closed she could not go to the bank. The next day she went to bank and was told the money was used to shop oxl some whr in lagos The surprised question is that she normally get otp notice for confirmation when she uses her card but this time none came.when she checked with bank customer desk she noticed a new phone introduced to her account which she believes the otp notification was sent. She went to efcc and wrote to cbn but till today nothing came out off it. Do you think thr could be insider hand work in this situation. Make I know if I should bring in a lawyer now.The amount taken was 1 million naira I keep wondering how unknown number was introduced to her bank details with the bank.
Any body in his shoe can do even worst. He is a good guy that believe system should work the way it supposed, which is normal, but nothing is normal.
ojesymsym: This is so unlike you, you are usually calm and ready to listen but this time you seem really paranoia, you are trying to find the root cause of venerability, but at least be open to alternative ideas.
My brother you win. For the fact you knew all those and lost your money, you win. The only thing remaining is for you to continue with what you have for access and share your expirience.
For those who are doubting what these guys could do when they have access to your phone, watch below video.
awesomeJ: Any bank who uses this weak system you describe is weak and undeserving of even a microfinance banking license. In your funny imagination, anyone can just click reset PIN, and type in anything they like to reset my PIN? you must think the banks are fools.
In my experience, to reset your PIN at GTB for instance, you need to know the answer to a secret question, without which, you'll have to visit a branch for a physical reset. Stanbic too would require a physical visit for PIN reset if I remember correctly.
Basically, contrary to your inexperienced idea about these authorizations, any OTP sent to your line for PIN reset would only be possible after you've either provided an old PIN, your ATM PIN, an answer to a secret question, or gone to the bank for physical bimetric verification. You're extremely wrong in thinking any bank has a system that just lets you reset a PIn just cos you clicked a link, without having any other form of authorization.
Stop peddling ignorance, If you have an experience contrary to what I described, narrate.
Exactly. The sim card is more than your ATM. in ATM, you require a PIN. in SIM card you can create the PIN and don't forget that the Bank assumes that you are the one they are dealing with once it comes from the sim card. So, even though you did not set the USSD, the person can do it if he knows some info about you.
STAY SAFE, USE PIN IN MAXIMUM WAY NECESSARY.
Streetinvestor2: Pls let me ask.i don't know much about tech matter. This is based on the unfortunate thing that happened to a member as per loss of phone I use gtb app on my phn.I don't use ussd on my account and no atm attached. I only use the app with hard token I bought from the bank.Does it mean if one gets my sim card which has no lock.He can have access to my account.Though my phn has phone lock.
So you need old pin before you can reset your pin? What are you really saying? There is always a FORGOT/RESET PASSWORD in almost all login (Its different from CHANGE PASSWORD which you can access after login). Which if you click, a link or code will be sent to either your phone or email. Now the phone is not with you and still with the person. Trust me, they will not need your basic computer programming to do what they want to do.
I will not want to continue further. You can still take access to court and maybe we can learn from your experience if you share it afterwards.
awesomeJ: Facts you say?? When you attempted a reset of your pin without going to the bank, did the system ask for your old pin or not? Could you have succeeded in resetting the pin without knowing the old pin? I really don't know why you feel the need to push these weak points? Did you do basic computer programming?
My Brother, Do not just argue to win but to get fact.
some banks allow you to reset your pin using you sim card. i do not have access bank so i can not say for them.
I know that i set my GT Ussd code without going to the bank. Even after upgrading from Gt app to GTCO app, i started using the new app without going to the GT bank office. It is still my best bank. Some one that have your sim card can block u off from your account and he can do virtually everything you can do.
Then imagine if he gain access to your sim and phone.
awesomeJ: What renders your argument faulty us you making it seem like sim card is the primary mode of authorization for transaction, it's not.
You should compare my pin to the house key, then you'd be having a solid point.
No one is blaming a bank for a compromise of their pin.
The blame comes duly on them, when I have a pin that should give me a level of security, and fraudsters still bypass their system regardless.
Using your contractor analogy, it's like me never losing my key, locking my door, yet people still gain access to my home.
The contractor has got to be liable then for installing a faulty lock system.
As long as I can prove that I locked my doors and the invaders never used my key.
One will think you are working with access bank. though am not sure. But you have stated the fact. A contractor build a house for you and furnished it and handed the key to the house to you. a thief collect the key and robbed your house. you want to go and hold the contractor liable.
The solution still remains to get a small nokia. put the sim card there and ensure that both the phone and the sim card are locked with security key.
Its hard to make a dim in the country. Avoid YOU GO EXPLAIN TAYA.
Mpeace: No need bad mouthing any bank here. All of them are the same. If the so called "those who should know" that gave you the feed back are not CBN fraud monitoring unit, then its best you treat the info as unreliable. Access bank is one of the largest in the country and has almost the highest customer base, so you would think theirs is the worse. Proportionately, they are all the same. Truth be told, most fraud cases these days have some fault of customes, though not all. Someone calls you claiming to be your customer care agent and you immediately give out all your banking details and pin. Then you blame the bank when your account is cleared. Or your phone gets lost, you do not immediately block your sim until your account is cleared. Those guys that hack phones only need your sim card. No matter your bank. These things happen to all banks so thise banks with more customers will definitely record more cases.
awesomeJ: No one is picking any fight with you. The deal is if someone else had posted the question, I wouldn't have commented unless I had some insight on the matter. In your case, you were quick to bring up points that weren't contextual, and made it sound like you were passing any new information. That's what I spoke against. No fight.
I hope you a not picking up a fight with me because i pretend to be a gentle man For me, your best bet is to go for the accounts where the money went to and get police to retrieve the BVN and other accounts linked to it including NIN. That you may( because i am not your legal adviser) have a case.
awesomeJ: I do not agree with you on this. I've been using bank accounts for decades. Your point about date of birth at GTB would have been valid if they moved any money at all.
Self recharge requires no authorization. That's well known. DOB or last digits of ATM card only become relevant when you're transferring above 20k, so if your argument was valid, they would have been able to move at least 20k per day, but they couldn't, only self recharge which requires no authorization.
I have 5 bank accounts, yet only access had the vulnerability.
The insight I seek is for someone who may know something meaningful that I may be missing, not this doB talk that's out of context.
awesomeJ: Guys, please who can explain this situation: I lost my phone 3 days ago, I had 8k in my access bank account, and 600k in my gtb.
I use the same USSD pin for both banks.
When I got a new phone 2 days ago, I noticed all the money in access was gone, but only 6k was missing from gtb. The 6k missing from gtb was used to recharge my line, so the airtime remained on my line.
I'm trying to build a case against access bank that they have a vulnerability, cos if the fraudsters had known my USSD code, they would have been able to move money from my GTBank as well, since it's same pin, and gtb had more money.
Who has an idea on what I might be missing Thanks.
Never you pick a fight that you can not win. Do not forget that you signed indemnity form. What saved you on gtb may be your dob. Because if you request some transaction, it will request for your dob. As for the recharge, it went through because it's your number and will not require pin. As precautions, always have a small phone where you banking line is and ensure the sim card pin and phone lock pin is activated.
Anyone that has access to your sim card and phone has access to over 90% of your bank.
My act office told me that it went through and that I will be debited yesterday. I do not know what to believe now.
alezzy13: Nothing o. Though my case is different. The guy in charge at my branch actually forgot to process the bids!!!. Yes o, na so I see am. He said he thought it was next week!! Was very pissed 😡😡 no one at my branch was successful 🥺
However I thought someone earlier said GT was successful for 365 days?
ujuchike: Greetings everyone, Please I got admission with one of the private universities and am about to apply for my study visa, is police report included in the requirements (though I didn’t see it in the embassy checklist)?
And please if you are in any of the private universities, can you indicate I have some questions to ask. I will appreciate if I get quick response. Thank you
The Police doc is not required but statement of purpose is a must even though it not on the embassy required lists.
Are they on twitter. Share prove of your inverstment and also comment on their handle. share the link so that we will drag them to get the truth or reasons behind the delay. money is hard these days so no one should hold anothers money.
Owon: The criminal company African Alliance company PLC has refused to pay me and many others their insured money, months and years after maturity. THEY HID UNDER THE CLOAK OF ISLAM, WITH THEIR FRAUDULENT TAKAFUL SAVINGS PLAN TO DEFRAUD PEOPLE. I have written several emails to them without a single response. I have been to their office at Ikoyi last month to warn them and that my return won't be good...
I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND REPORT TO THE USELESS NIACOM THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE INSURANCE COMPANY POLICE TO PUT THEM TO CHECK, BUT THE USELESS NIACOM IS NOT EVEN RESPONDING. I THINK AFRICAN ALLIANCE INSURANCE COULD HAVE BRIBED THEM...
Please I want suggestions from people who have had similar experiences with these evil and criminal insurance companies and how they were able to retrieve their money.
To me, its the rate of inflation that will determine. The truth is that most developed countries will give you between 3-7% but the inflation is not like what you will get here.
yemioke: Good day Everyone, Please I would like to know if investing in Ghana TB is a good decision. I am a Nigerian living temporarily in Ghana. currently, TB rate in Ghana for 364 days is at 28.5%. please I need your opinions. thank you. Also, Please investment house vs bank which one is preferable if one is to invest in TB
My dear look at it as a business.. 1. You require a capital base of n2b or n500m, 2. You are given $20k/ n20m +/- which comes whenever. 3. My question is, at what price, how long and how often will you sell 2 to reclaim your 1.
I will tell you that one bdc can not sponsor the importation of one container into the country. It can not pay for one person travel expenses to study in UK.
My dear it's not only that. 1. How can you tell that government is charging you import duty in dollar equivalent. Even if you want to export goods, you pay your charges in dollar equivalent. 2. Many government contractors are paid in dollar including some locals. 3. We heard what happened in the last elections primaries as well. 4. People pay highly to get naira notes. Last month, those that earn 100k naira ended up receiving 90k cash or less. Banks will pay you 5k after traveling from God knows where. Pos will charge you 1k for every 10k. The list is on and on. I can tell you that the only thing that is traded in naira is just seevices of salary earners, every other things adjust when naira loses value against dollar.
narite: Nigeria’s problem all boils down to one thing “Being a major import dependent Nation”. Certain areas of the economy have been totally abandoned for decades and focusing on just one major area (oil producing), an area that is not even optimally exploited (still end up importing the oil).
Clearly, the inflation ravaging our country is not that of too much Money chasing few goods (individuals and organizations are already cutting on spendings they do not even have) rather it more of cost-push. With the general increase in the cost of raw materials all over the world and coupled with our currency’s devaluation as an import based nation we are bound to experience drastic unfavorable changes in price of commodities, the costs of staying in business are passed down to the final consumer, this is simple math.
Raising interest to combat this problem as at this point in time is totally absurd, businesses are struggling, trying to navigate through this unfamiliar territory (rising cost of foreign materials, currency devaluation) and we are there raising interest rate, to do what exactly? Probably to kill whatever is left of all this businesses, if they choose not to run away.
There is no shortcut to fixing our problems. Definitely, raising interest rate won't cut it for us. This inflation will persist for a long time.
