There is no light in Ondo State.

The last time I went to Akure, generator couldn't do the job.

The poor state of power supply in that town will compete any where in the world.
Car TalkRe: How Does One Control A Car When Front Tyre Blows Out On High Speed? by RoadLord: 10:04pm On Oct 17, 2013
Prevention is better than cure.

Do not overspeed. Cars- brakes, steering are easier to control when the car is at a reasonable speed.

Anything can happen, stay within your control.

Car TalkRe: Nissan And Stallion Nigeria Sign Assembly Deal by RoadLord: 6:01pm On Oct 10, 2013
Imagine 24-hour power generation in Nigeria.

The solution is simple; FIX POWER

Power is the foundation. No assembling or manufaturing plant can give optimal value without power.

With power, things begin to happen.

Sir, can you make your point without portraying ethnic sentiment.
Car TalkRe: Nissan And Stallion Nigeria Sign Assembly Deal by RoadLord: 5:22am On Oct 10, 2013
Talking about Stallion,

Who are the owners of this company?

Do you really need another company to set up an assembly plant?

The problem with our policies is that they are only intended to enrich some purses. Government just paint a picture of trying to better Nigerians.

When NCC introduced SIM registeration, the perception was that by now, kidnapping will be impossible cos all SIMs will be traceable. What do we have today?

Our plate numbers suddenly wasn't good enough.
Obj's national I'd cards.
Rebranding Nigeria
There is a brand of motorcycle that is now allowed in Lagos. To mention a few.

Any policy that has selfish motive is bound to fail.

I urge government to continue. But a man living in a glass house should remember the man living in mud house. The day he gets angry, all he would need is small mud.

PhonesRe: An Open Letter To Nigerian Internet Service Providers by RoadLord: 12:37pm On Oct 02, 2013
10 years ago, On-net, MTN was charging N50 for 0-59 seconds. Today, it charges barely 10k/s. SMS was N15, now N4. Infrastructure didn't improve.

Then, Sim sold btw 6-25K, today it is about N25 with I beg. Only the casing changed.

BB plan use to be 5K, down to 3K. Few weeks ago, MTN BB plan was 3K, unlimited. The price was slashed and the package was capped. Nepa is still PHCN

Why would glo sell 3072MB for 1k and MTN gives 300MB for same 1K.

I can't remember any improvement in infrastructure. We are talking exploitation, you are saying infrastructure. Same excuse in 2001.

Do you know MTN has a target of 50 Billion Naira monthly in Nigeria market, a market where infrastruture is any issue.

Has it even occurred to you that almost every business can use "infrastructure" excuse.
PhonesRe: An Open Letter To Nigerian Internet Service Providers by RoadLord: 10:06am On Oct 02, 2013
Monthly 1k MTN BB data plan is just 300MB.

First, I can't check my usage, it will tell me "you are within fair usage".

I don't get any message when the 300MB is exhausted. It dips into my call account balance even when I have sent DATA OFF to 131.

I can't buy a new plan. I have to wait till the suppose expiry date of the expired 300MB.

Glo offers same 1K plan for 3GB

@ MTN,
The cap renders your price slash useless.
We can get this thing cheaper, cheaper could mean more usage and more revenue.

I won't be surprised if we have these boko haram people on NL.

I agree not all muslims are terrorists but all terrorists, world-wide are muslims.

Some muslims only support terrorism in the name of faith.

Anyone who supports killing of innocent souls in the name of anything-religion, politics, ethnicity is unfit for the society.

A god that wants killing, god that loves bloodshed, god that is happy when people kill for him, god that rewards killing, What kind of god is that?

Sick people; sick god.

Jokes EtcQueue @ First Bank by RoadLord(op): 6:26pm On Sep 27, 2013
I don't know which room to post this but it is an amusing experience. Let me do it here.

I went to one of the First bank at Oba-Akran, Ikeja. I wasn't happy when I got to the door, why? There was a queue. I anticipated it so I wasn't really pissed. And importantly I have to post my cash.

Finally, I got inside the banking hall and quickly dashed upstairs. There we go again, another queue.

In my usual fashion, I joined the queue before thinking of filling the deposit form. Trust me, that will save some minutes.

After few minutes on a "forever" queue, I felt I need to use the toilet, I want to pee. So I excused myself from the queue. I casually asked a man in uniform "where is the toilet". He pointed toward a door that has a symbol of man and woman on it. Surely, that should be the toilet.

Then I opened the door, guess what I met. ANOTHER QUEUE. I was amused.

Christianity EtcRe: Religion Is Sweet Poison, Heaven Is A State Of Mind. by RoadLord:
^^^@beejay.

Have u ever wondered why people are religious?
Religion promise to reward the good with heaven and the bad with condemnation. If there is no promise of harvest, a farmer will not till the soil.

If you remove police, court and prisons from our society in your imagination, you will see that we all have propensity to commit crime. I agree morality pre-exited religion but crime pre-existed the law too. Law was put in place to check crime. Without law, the story will be different.

Morality is about right or wrong. Good and bad are more explicit. Except you want to argue, you should know good and bad are not moral issues.

Bad in my context means anything you do that can harm you or others. Ask an adulterer how he would feel if someone sleeps with his wife. When you catch a thief, there is no point asking if what he did is bad or good.

I will not gainsay anyone. We can only learn when we listen to opinions.

Thank you.
Christianity EtcRe: Religion Is Sweet Poison, Heaven Is A State Of Mind. by RoadLord:
Sometimes I wish dead people could come around to tell us the true state of things.

I can't argue the existence of God, the problem I have is man's helplessness. We just find ourselves here. We don't even know lot of things for example, we don't know why we sleep or where we go when we do. Then we get curious and explain things away.
Arguing there is God or not is futile. You are just a little better than people that fight for religion.

We are mental beings, we see the world differently. Somehow and somewhere down the line we have formed our perception about God.
It gets worrisome when Muslims believe all non-muslims will perish and christians believe all "non-christ-followers" will go to hell.

I don't argue religion, it is useless. I wasn't there when Jesus came, I grew up beliving that. Sue me. But why should I fight or ask others who probably came from Ifa background believe what I believe. If I want them to, then I should come up with convincing reasons.

God can make all of us access him through a channel, who knows why he didn't. He could as well show every atheist he exist. I am asked to preach the gospel as a christian, that doesn't imply I should shove it down everybody's throat. Most of us are hypocrites. Most acclaimed believers won't even make heaven. We are just experts at letting others know we have a better view of spiritual matters. I suggest we spend the time we use in criticizing others to make our ways straight as our beliefs require.

I am a believer solely for few reasons.

Statistics showed that almost everybody will die. When I die and eventually find out there is no God, which I doubt, I won't have anything to lose. I won't even want people alive to know it is a "fable"
Once u belief there is no God, then what's the point? Being good or bad becomes unimportant. That there is no life thereafter will paint a picture of society without law, no court and no judgement. That seems unlikely.
People don't talk about existence of satan, devil, demon, witches or wizards. If these guys exist, then there should be a counterpart. The presence of darkness tells a story about light.

We all have right to our beliefs. Every law supports this.
Let's live and let others live.

No of cars in Nigeria*N20000, that's some billions.
The last one was subsidy removal.

I guess the trend is changing, @ first government catered for people. Next, government abdicates responsibilities. Now people are impoverished to care for government.

Self development books can be motivating but I will prefer to say a book like life without limits by Nick Vijucic is a motivational book.
7 habits is not a motivational piece.
