TOKUGAWA: I used to feed 3x bt later changed to 2x,I feed dem till dey start ignoring d feed.

TOKUGAWA: I stocked 1500 juveniles.

TOKUGAWA: my Ogas @ d top,today makes it precisely 3 weeks that I stocked my juveniles and they are yet to finish 1 n half bag of multifeed. As at now,I am having half bag left. Though they eat well n growing well.Only that m kinda concerned .

kelvin1191: Pls house, can i use well water for catfish farming? D well can serve my water requirement all year round since am planning to start with just 2 or 3 standard ponds.

excelsiorfarm: no major repair,d pump is used by my tenants,hence they help be a watch when he/she isnt around,any challenge i have known d tenants more than 15Years,for d space,possibly few change of zinc,cant cost 15K,i can instruct my tenants to do d work.even a serious farmer should get his pump & tank for conflict of interest with others

excelsiorfarm: other necessary assistance can be given,but to supply that quantity of fingerlings isnt economical value because egbeda LGA in ibadan is after former toll gate towards ife,either to drive down to d farm or ask it to be brought to town(i stay in bodija),transport cost would have made it to be deficit(except am charging beyond what is obtainable,which i dont do)

excelsiorfarm: (in continuation) to know if it is a runt or not,weight hardly counts,moreso no one will sale u a fish above juvenile stage,except d person cannot afford to feed d fishes,rain doesnt have any negative impact on your fishes,whenever it rains d fishes are excited,though it contains dissolve co2,but an earthen pond has both atmospheric o2 and o2 from d ground being added continually to d water.

samshoz: My learned farmers, Q1. What can i give to my set of fingerlings that are not aggressive and eating enough? Though i do give Bavit and other premix. Q2. I leak my pond water and top it at night and change d water every 3 days but not all of it, then i refill. Hope my water mgt is ok?

diran18: but i thought its mainly for washing of unstocked ponds to kill of i fungi and bacteria. Can it be use for stocked pond also
