FKO81 or whatever you call yourself, why must you drag Yorubas into a purely igbo matter? Are you folks that insecure? You need help, seriously. |
"For investors, the move to Abuja was driven mainly by the lack of suitable investment opportunities available in Lagos. Investors now realise that the Abuja market is shallower than previously thought and are now focusing mainly in Lagos."Really? |
A bit of perspective here. Oke belonged to the 'Old PDP' faction that was hijacked by Mimiko after he decamped to the PDP from Labour. Parts of that 'Old PDP' were and are still loyal to the late Agagu, and Oke has stated on record severally that he belongs to the Agagu "school of politics". http://www.ondoevents.com/2016/06/08/olusola-oke-storms-okitipupa-on-political-consultation-scores-of-youths-decamp-to-apc/ "He said he is a disciple of late Dr. Olusegun Agagu’s school of politics and he is poised to bring real and physical development to all nooks and crannies of Ondo State."Part of that old-PDP constitute the bulk of the Sherrif faction of the PDP in the state today. Also, some in the Agagu camp have long since moved to the Tinubu's faction of the APC: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/agagu-boys-defected-apc-ondo-obasanjotinubu-connections/ Aregbesola's former Special Adviser, Bola Ilori (who is an Ondo state indigene and Oke supporter prior to the primaries), recently said during a Channels tv interview that should Oke clinch the ticket, it would be a devastating blow to the PDP in the state as the Old PDP that feel disgruntled and marginalized after Mimiko's hijacking of the party in the state, would decamp en masse to Oke's side. Needless to say that the PDP in Ondo is gravely factionalized, and that would also play a big factor in this upcoming election. In light of these factors, I believe the odds are in favour of Oke. |
idolda:Yinmu. What is this one saying?? You are talking nonsense because you obviously dont know jack about Oke's political currency within Ondo state political circles. How is he any more desperate than Akeredolu, or Mimiko, or Eyitayo? Go and sit down somewhere jo. |

rlauncher:Did you say the APC Chairman should be 'punished for his perfidy'? Or did you mean to say he should be scapegoated?? Goodness! Why are you being dishonest? Who are you trying to fool? Oyegun will likely take the fall for merely taking orders from the Presidency. That is a FACT that any sincere person understands by now. Why not ask that those at the presidency calling the shots and responsible for the scandal be probed and dealt with instead. And point of correction, APC is NOT the only party that can salvage the country, so quit making it sound as if the APC is the only platform that can turn things around for Nigeria or Yorubas. If things don't improve for the common man, you best believe that no amount of 'fighting corruption' (which the average hungry Nigerian is tired of hearing sef) will save Buhari and the APC come 2019. If the APC splits tomorrow, another national party will arise out of its ashes to take its place. If anything, the APC/Buhari has so far showed itself to be incapable and incompetent in managing a complex country like Nigeria. His pro-North policies, Fulani Herdsmen are on rampage all over the country with impunity, Biafra agitation and Niger-Delta insurgency are unprecedented, the naira/economy is in shambles. All this within less than 2-years of this administration. Yet you are here making it sound as though the APC is indispensable. Abeg park well. |
@rlauncher: Which one is "Tinumbu"?? Apparently you one of those Yorubas(?) that likes deceiving themselves. The APC is way too factionalized to survive beyond 2019, that's the truth. The Atikus, Kwankwansos, and the Sarakis are biding their time to also take their pound of flesh from Buhari. And going by recent revelations, Tinubu would be stupid to pretend as though all is well with his political fortunes, or to think that this can be 'resolved' as a family affair. What he revealed wasn't new because we had all been hearing about it since the primaries held, yet most people made it seem like it didn't matter, until he voiced out and FFK added icing to the unfolding drama. He's already lost much ground politically and the best thing for him would be to tactfully withdraw from the APC, take stock and gradually regain lost ground (after all he's a politician and he's entitled to his political survival) before they finish him off because the power brokers at the presidency will always see him as a threat for as long as he remains in the party. He's better off as a free-agent from hereon. |
Proudlyngwa:Lol. I like you idealism but get real. In your mind you honestly think elections can actually be 'free and fair' enough to satisfy all parties in Nigeria?? It's all about what side of the divide you're on. In the Edo instance for example, PDP supporters will swear they were robbed, while the APC will maintain they won fair and square, in spite of any evidence to the contrary. It's just the nature (and politics) of elections in most parts of the world. Even in the almighty U.S of A, parties and candidates still accuse each other voter fraud till this very day. Don't bother yourself. |
@OP: The better/best rigger will always carry the day, simple. It also helps if the winner is also relatively popular. It's difficult to outrig an incumbent, not unless you're a Fayose. Aregbesola still beat the PDP in spite of Jonathan's Federal might, Wike defeated Amaechi's candidate in spite of incumbency factor, while Fayose defeated Fayemi even though he was an incumbent. ![]() |

The anti-Tinubu elements at the Presidency played their hand too early. They couldn't even wait to stabilize this adminstration/government or till after the APC's second-term at the Presidency has been sealed before trying any stunt of this nature in a party that is already polarized. What was in the realm of speculation is now an open secret and Tinubu would be stupid not to protect what's left of his political fortunes and influence. His post-APC plans must be at full-throttle by now. He's more or less a 'free-agent' (in American parlance) right about now. ![]() |
kahal29:Yinmu. Tinubu na veteran for this kind matter since the June 12 days. The worst wey go happen be say he will go on exile and support the opposition from there. Did you ask who is in his camp?? Imagine Tinubu sponsoring/forming another party today, the entire Lagos and likely Osun APC and some Oyo HOR and Senators will definitely go with him. Ekiti and Ondo are already in opposition hands. That will put paid to the APC's majority in both Houses. 2019 will be very interesting. ![]() |
Lol. We are all witnessing the beginning of the end of the APC, live... ![]() |
Chiefobdk1:lol. Drug swallow?? Dude, don't even go there. Your brothers CONTROL the drug trade in Africa and Asia -- CONFIRMED, NO CONTEST! We be learners/apprentices next to you guys. I know you are just trying to deflect your people's reputation as the drug-trafficking dons on the continent but na wash. omololu2020:Whether domestic or foreign, 600-billion Naira debt owed by Delta state blows away any of the figures up there. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/09/22/nigerias-debt-rises-by-n4tn-in-six-months/ Domestic debts taken by state governments stood at N2.5trillion, as Lagos, Delta, Cross River, and the Federal Capital Territory top the debtors list. |
Big Lie. Where is Delta state on the list?? Delta state (PDP) owes as much if not more than those 3 states combined. http://247ureports.com/delta-tops-list-of-states-with-highest-debt-profile/ Delta Tops List of States With Highest Debt Profile Oil rich Delta State has been ranked the most indebted state in Nigeria, a document by the Debt Management Office (DMO) has shown.http://advocateng.com/n637-billion-debts-delta-apc-challenges-okowa-to-probe-uduaghan/ |

Igboid:Dude, nobody gives a flying Bleep about how much money circulates in the SE quite frankly, because at the end of the day who e don epp? Upon your circulating money, your region is still the least productive (the ONLY viable vocation in the entire SE is TRADING -- FACT -- but even that is no longer as viable as it once was -- http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/rivers-state-others-have-overtaken-s-east-in-commerce-industry/ ), it is the least contributor to the national commonwealth, attracts the least FDI (www.businessdayonline.com/2015/02/ogun-ikeja-top-manufacturers-investment-destinations-in-2014), witnesses more brain-drain than any other, is the least populated in the country with her indigenes emigrating at the slightest opportunity, YET for whatever reasons best known to you, you feel this gives you some sort of bragging right?? Like seriously? If the SE was such an economically viable region, it would speak in her GDP (no single SE state appears on the top 10 list of Nigerians states GDP), her FDI, it would be one of the choice destinations of other Nigerians seeking better prospects. It's the same reason your successful businessmen (who for the most part made their millions outside Igboland, and who can blame them? They know where the real market and spending power is. Ask the foreigners shunning the region, Obi Jackson and the rest of 'em Heck, they all have access to the same data we all do and as real business men they gotta follow the money ) have to be CAJOLED and literally BEGGED to return home and invest . Dude, I can't fault your passion for your people/region, but there comes a time when you gotta tell yourself the naked truth. Your hype only exists in your deluded mind. Get over yourself already. |
Igboid:Now it's obvious you're one hell of an ignorant fellow. First of all Enugu is a practically DEAD state economically -- FACT. What commercial activity goes on there to warrant such wild assertion about its consumer spending? Absolutely NONE. As for Onitsha, Twistaray already captioned the logic behind whatever money flows in that tiny market city when he said, I repeat: Igbos are mainly traders that buy and sell on a daily basis, when they sell they deposit and when they want to buy they withdraw. The circle keeps repeating on a daily basis, my friend that is not a measure of development or wealth.Obi Jackson (An Anambra indigene), a shareholder in S.A-based Smile Communications, chose to launch and introduce the Nigerian branch of the ISP in Ibadan in 2013. Why not Onitsha? Smile didn't launch in Onitsha until March of this year 2016. The reason for that decision is very simple -- spending power, and because numbers don't lie. The following thread sums it up. https://www.nairaland.com/3114368/nigerian-states-number-registered-phone |
Henrydone:He's too proud to stomach the obvious bro. The thing really pained him that Enugu didn't make the cut. ![]() |
Igboid:Hahahaha. You are such a joker. Just because her conclusions don't tally with yours you are throwing a fit? Grow up Mr. Unfortunately for you, she has some authority while you on the hand are ..well.. a Mr. Nobody. Is it the same Onitsha where the Shoprite there was reportedly idling away and experiencing low patronage due to low spending power that you are hyping here? Continue deluding yourself because you seem to be the only person buying your own hype o. lol. Atleast Onitsha even has a market to take save face small, abeg what does Enugu have to justify this your persistent hype? I know it's too much for your ego to accept, but comparing the SouthWest to your region is akin to comparing sleep to death. Move on jo. Real talk. |
Noneroone:Igbodeen, you Sabi read so? Coz no single one of them is Yoruba going by their names. Arogbos are a purely ijaw tribe domiciled in Ondo state. I never imagined you could be this ignorant. |
VulgarVulvas:LMAO! Bro trust me, after a hard day's work, I certainly do not have that much time on my hands to engage you lots. It's pointless and fruitless really. ![]() |
