I started 'she was pretty' because of Park seo joon but i didn't like it. I struggled with the first 5 episodes then abadoned it. It would have been nicer if a better actress played the ugly girl's role (the actress didn't act it well) in my opinion. Good thing you enjoyed the movie

It's actually 20 episodes, there was a period where Korean broadcasters started dividing an hour long episode into 30 minutes, so 20 episodes became 40 and 16 episodes became 32 etc. It's all still the same, episode 1-2 was usually just episode 1. I'm glad that Era is over but tbh I still think suspicious partner was too long for 20 episodes, hell the story could have been done in 12 or 16 episodes, in my opinion they dragged the drama abeg

Lovestruck In The City has a better love scene than What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, to me anyway. The chemistry between the leads is just amazing and the female lead was not shy during the kissing scene and bed scene.

Lolz. It depends but I don't like the ones that use the loveand romance between the leads to heighten the emotional tension of the viewer and not provide at least a scene to quench the tension . That's cruel . Lolz

3. I don't think it's money though. They seemed to be very emotional intelligent though. They were also nice to the 'low life's soldiers and even offered asylum to them. I read they consulted some North Korea defectors to SK so the life portrayed in NK was accurate.

4. Maybe it was a daytime/ family series. There is a goodbye kissing scene in their first speration at the end of Episode 8. I heard some of their movies can be raunchy. I like their take on male/female sexual relationships though so I will take their extreme on physical intimacy to the Western's end. You will like Suspicious Partner and Lovestruck in the City. Funnily, the actor in CLOY had a crazy kissing scene in another series.

Like someone opined, their kisses are more intimate and emotionally satisfying than se.x in Western series/movies.

5. Maybe she said hotel to her workers to throw them off? North Korea monitor their citizens outside the country especially the HNIs to prevent defection so she could not openly tell them she was hooking up with ML.

Agree on the step mother/Yoon-Sri part. I did not catch anything about her mother.

I also loved the NIS scenes; the guy low key rooting for ML & the FL and when the Team Lead delayed the exchange so the lady could say goodbye.

I wished there was more romance though. Like when he gave her the rings, a kiss or love making would be appropriate. They were high tensioned lovers who did not know when they would meet again. That is a recipe for high emotions and passion.
