This 21 February 2016 marks the seventeenth International Mother Language Day.

The day was established in 1999 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the day has been celebrated across the globe since February 2000.

So what's it all about? Well, International Mother Language Day aims to promote linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as multilingualism.

If like me you've forgotten most of your high school French, German or Spanish, then now's your time to brush up your skills! Speaking another language is a really useful skill to have, even if it's just for a short holiday abroad.

On the day, the International Symposium on Translation and Cultural Mediation will be held to discuss preserving and developing our heritage and spreading awareness of our mother tongues in order to encourage diversity and even inspire us to take up learning a new language!

If you hold a foreign professional qualification and come from a third country, you can apply for a digital statement of professional qualifications from the ZAB (Federal Office for Employment and Social Affairs ). The ZAB will check and confirm whether certain criteria for the Opportunity Card are met. You can use the DAB as proof of your professional qualification when applying for the Opportunity Card.

I have a friend who explained how he lived in a house for over 10 years n could hardly pay rent, to feed was a problem. So one day he determined that he was going to park out but where is the money.

So he decided to enough is enough and had to borrow money, saw a house and paid for 6 months with abeg cos they needed 12 months rent.

As in. It always beat my imagination how most Yorubas will always see Igbos as their real enemies.

I advice all right thinking Igbos especially in Lagos to stay clear of further protests. Igbos never voted Buhari and I see no reason
they will be in fore front dieing for the course. Am sorry to sound this way but recent events of accusing Igbos of burning down Lagos
shows the extent of how myopic people can think. All over Igbo land, there were solidarity action for the Lekki killings.

How come people are stocking tribal tension between Igbos and Yorubas? For Igbos to have stood up against injustice of Lekki killings?
All the videos we watched, its obvious the language of the hoodlums are Yorubas. Again Miyetti Allah have made it clear Tinubu is the one
sponsoring #EndSARS. How come these people never attacked Miyetti Allah?

I think, it should be enough for the protest. Lets watch as Nigeria unfolds. All over South East, I know the level of tension we suffered in the
past 2 days. I have never seen Igbos kill Yorubas anywhere in the east. It will never be good for people trying to give this protest tribal dimension.

Nigeria urgently need either restructuring or break up. We are hardly one.
