I still dont understand why NL is rife with insults and abusive words from members. Is the the way you guys talk daily, or does the anonymity behind a computer screen makes people more prone to foul language? Come on guys! We dont have to be so low.
In other news, I visited ghanaweb.com, and it seems people there have issues with most team members being 'ashante'. I guess its the same thing here too, about our team being largely igbo. They are also calling for the sack of their coach, berating his incompetence. I couldnt but notice the similarity between the comments there, and those here(NL) after our first two matches.
My point? Quite a number of similarities between GH and Nigeria. Why all the e-fighting?
BTW, is just me, or that ghanaweb.com needs some adjustments? Wasnt quite so easy navigating.

I'm watching this match with 10 hausa men, I'm yoruba and female, and we are all here screaming Emenike, Moses, Mikel, Ideye! We cant even remember our tribes. All we see is Nigeria! Sports has a unique way of uniting this nation. I wish we'd see many more of this day! Thank you SE, for these rare moments of national unity.

Abrantie: See how Mali struggle just to score 1 goal against weak Niger.

E be like say only Keita dey pitch top.

Hey Mali, you have Ghana and DR Congo on your list... bwahahahahaha
last I checked, 1-0 is a win, 10-10 is a draw. Ghana can keep scoring all the goals and drawing, Mali will struggle and keep winning.
LiteratureRe: What's Your Favorite Novel Of All Time? by Roliks09: 2:55pm On Jan 19, 2013
lekkie073: have anyone come about this novel....not a penny more, not a penny less by jeffery archer? dats my best in d archer series
yeah. I've read that book ooo. The guy collected the money complete. Think he sold flowers or ring at some wedding close to the ending to make his money complete. But Matter of Honor still tops my chart. I learnt what honor meant in that book, and it kinda helped! Now, I dont see anybody mentioning Tom Clancy. Mayb I missed the posts. Tom Clancy's book educate! There was one he spent like a page and half describing a bomb about to detonate, plenty scientific jargon! Who's read the Hunt for the Red October?

Matter of Honour by Jeffery Archer... And this post brought so many memories... VC Andrews. Wow!
IslamRe: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by Roliks09: 6:14pm On Jan 08, 2013
@All, Very nice discussions going on here. I really appreciate the courtesy that's being tried to be maintained.
One thing we should all realize is that this world has a salad of religions, whether we like it or not, we have to live and relate with one another.
Its a pity that ignorant people are being used by the greedy and the rich(yes, there is (are) a big business (wo)ma(e)n behind the bombings in the country. I think a large chunk of our grievances should be directed towards
1. The rich who invest in the weapons these people are using
2.The 'smart' human beings who use others negatively, cashing in on their ignorance and brainwashing them
3. The government that has failed in its primary function of maintaenance of order. And order includes security. For it is not that everybody cannot take up arms and defend him/her self when necessary, but what kind of chaotic and uncontrolled society would that be?
Furthermore,
4. The Quran does not permit suicide. Several facts have been used to buttress this. Why are people hell bent on 'proving' otherwise?
5. Why do we even feel the need to make our respective religions be the 'winner'? Our arguments will not change the content of the Qur'an, or the Bible. So why cant invest productive manhours on things that we do can change? Like the state of this nation for example?
6. I am convinced about my religion, just as the Sango worshipper is as convinced about his. On judgement day, the truth will surface, abi? So why not focus on other issues?

FamilyRe: Who Is The Commander-in-chief Of Remote Control In Your House? by Roliks09: 7:35am On Jan 06, 2013
My father doesnt even hold the remote. Lai lai. Once he enters the sitting room - no, once we hear his footsteps, we change the station to a serious channel (BBC, aljazeera, msnbc), and we just comot the sitting room. My dad wud sit there for 5 minutes and call 'Omo'(any child(ren) within hearing radius must answer o!), wa gbe si because. Afta, gbe si NTA, then gbe si Channels. Na so so 'gbe si, gbe si that 'we go dey do. But he doesnt last. Once he leaves, ehn ehn, na me be oga be dat. Mama? Ha, the night she insists on NTA news, I give her 15mins, she don sleep o. We now 'test' her and say 'mummy ki ni won so last?', once she fails, we switch channels straight!

PoliticsRe: In Your Own Views, What Actually Is Nigeria's Problem? by Roliks09: 5:46pm On Dec 16, 2012
1. Nigerians dont know who they are. We really do not have goals as a nation. I'm yet to really understand what connects me to the Notherner or Easterner or even southener. We are still united only along lines of language, which isnt good, and can only be changed by
2. LEADERSHIP. They(leaders) are the only ones that can set examples impacting widely, and simultaeneously. Leaders must realize that they r the only ones that can change dis nation.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Right For Jonathan To Kneel At Redeemed Camp by Roliks09: 4:38pm On Dec 16, 2012
He didnt come there as just an ordinary person. All those saying Jonathan humbled himself before God prolly didnt hear about the traffic gridlock because 'jonathan wanted to pass'. Even Jesus wouldnt cause such discomfort cos he wanted to pass. And we stay here talking humility?? Nigerians! Please dont be blinded.
