Right from the i watched the thieving shameless governor of akwa ibom, Udom Emmanuel lie on public TV that he was a billionaire before he entered government, i knew Akwa ibom has entered one chance. The man has since 2015 been performing fake groundbreaking ceremonies at locations that that immediately rerurn back to becoming forests that they were. Common traffic and street lights dont work again in uyo and other towns, hospitals and school are nothing to write home about, youths are roaming the streets jobless and he wants to build a GOVERNORS LODGE in Lagos.The state's economy is in shambles. It is sad that Udom cannot identify and execute projects that have impact on the economy of the state. Akwa Ibom currently has a laison office in Victoria Island, now can someone tell me why a laison office cannot be used by intending investors to LAISE with the government? Will the governor be leaving his lodge in uyo to travel to lagos to meet investors or rather the investors should rather be paying a courtesy visit to the governor in uyo after laising with akwa ibom government investment agencies in Victoria Island?

If the investor has truly seen any area he wishes to invest will such investor need to wait to meet the governor in his majestic lodge in lagos ? Wouldn't such investor take the next available flight to uyo to transact business. By the way , must all investors need to meet the governor before he or she invests? What is the function of AKIIPOC? i repeat Udom na one chance ooo, since 2015 how many investors has udom brought?, he should fix basic infrastructure and the economy and investors will be falling over their heads to invest in akwa ibom. The investment climate has not been created. Abandoned projects ( tropicana, hospital at itam, haphazardly constructed housing estates at Idu and Ikot ekpene, four points by shraton at IK, uyo ikot ekpene rd, eket etinan rd, the list goes on) litter the whole state and he doesnt care. Udom let me give you sense, use part of that 2.1 billion to pay compensation to owners of properties along the abandoned Uyo Ikot Ekpene highway and get the road completed. The city of Oron needs upgrade alongside the establishment of a regional mordern seafoods market. Oron should be a maritime hub but no you will not do that because that is not why you are there.

You rather need a GOVERNORS LODGE wgere you can hook up with your lagos based runs girls as the hotels are too exposed in the process you hammer some billions of naira(which he has called paltry by the way). That is your mindset and as already seen you will make sure it happens. Akwa ibom has just met the worst governor in its history.

Another fake and designed to fail project from the stables of Udom, 2019 dey wait for you.no worries. All this fake news is a cover up for the very shameful plan to build a governor's lodge in lagos.

PRESS STATEMENT

PROTEST TO HOLD IN LAGOS AGAINST THE PROPOSED N9.1B SECOND AKWA IBOM GOVERNOR’S LODGE IN LAGOS.

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has approved the sum of N9.1 billion in the recently passed 2017 Supplementary Budget for the construction of a new/second “lodge” or “laison office” in Lagos State for the State as requested by governor Udom Emmanuel.

It is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable for a State government to conceive such an irrational project, let alone appropriate public funds for it, despite the financial challenges facing states which calls for prudence in the management of resources. This is a slap on every decent Akwa Ibom person.

Except Mr Udom Emmanuel can point at the location of Lagos State Governor’s Lodge in Akwa Ibom State, his plan will not be tolerated.

Since the administrative functions of a State government is constitutionally circumscribed to its geographical location, there is no sensible reason why Nigerian governors should be building their official residences outside their States. This is the worst form of capital flight.

The argument that such “laison office” or lodge aids investment drive is not plausible. Which right thinking investor will leave where he or she intends to invest funds for a strange land, in order to negotiate terms? It does not make sense. Anyone who believes that it makes sense should present evidence of the industries that have been brought to the state because of same.

Lagos is a State, just like Akwa Ibom. It is only sovereign states (nations) that maintain diplomatic buildings, embassies and missions abroad.

Is it not strange that the same governor Udom Emmanuel who has been advocating for Mobil Producing Nigeria Limited to relocate from Lagos to their operational base in Akwa Ibom is now seeking to build a second official residence in Lagos, outside his own operational base?.

If the governor is so bereft of developmental ideas, rather than build a second Akwa Ibom laison office in Lagos, he can use the state’s funds to rehabilitate all the lunatics roaming the streets of Akwa Ibom.

Here is a governor who boasted publicly about his attainment of a Business School; a man who was handpicked from the banking sector to lead. Today, no one is left in doubt about the futility of his much touted credentials. What has Akwa Ibom gained from the governor’s so-called banking experience?

After building a palatial mansion for himself within the first six months of his pathetic administration, Udom Emmanuel is now on a mission to build a second lodge in Lagos.

It is shameful that we do not have a vigilant and independent House of Assembly in Akwa Ibom State that knows its functions. The House members, including the Speaker, should ALL cover their heads in shame. They are all a total disgrace. They are not useful. Shame on them.

In response to this indefensible proposal aimed at stealing and dissipating public funds, there will be a protest in Lagos against the crazy decision by governor Udom Emmanuel to build a second Akwa Ibom State “governor’s lodge” or “laison office” or whatever it is termed with a whopping sum of N9.1 billion.

I vow to mobilise Akwa Ibom people in Lagos State to resist this crazy project. As a State, Akwa Ibom does not need any governor’s lodge outside the State. Not even in the Federal Capital Territory.

The date of the protest will be communicated in due course. Akwa Ibom people in Lagos that will like to participate in the upcoming protest should be prepared.

Udom Emmanuel is the most clueless, hopeless , empty, visionless governor in the whole of West Africa. Kom Kom governor!!!!!Quote me anytime anyday. Nobody should expect anything good from this man, OP , I don't know what smiles he has put on anybody's face since he became governor. Since that guy became governor its been sorrow all the way .2019 should come fast so that we boot him out of government house. Thst man is just a drain on our resources, he cannot even maintain infrastructure he met on ground not to talk of building on them. All one hears is useless ground breaking at sites that will turn back into forests in matter of weeks. He should go to hell for all i care.

Im really ashamed of the OP who had the guts to show us this rubbish. Udom lacks what it takes to lead a local government not to talk of a state. The man lacks vision and he also lacks the capacity to follow through the vision of others. All his projects are SUB STANDARD , quote me anywhere. Imagine Information drive of less than a kilometre that the whole world knows was designed to be dual carraige, Udom had the guts to go build that very narrow single lane road with no sidewalks, open gutters and obviously low quality. That showed me Udom is clearly dumb because that road was meant to be an iconic road. Check out all the other roads posted by the OP, no street lights, sidewalks, road signs, not cleaned. None of the street lights and traffic lights are working in Uyo as we speak, not to talk of other places like ikot ekpene, abak, etc. The state is dirty. This man cannot even maintain what he met on ground. Tropicana that was used as a siphon by akpabio could not even be quickly packaged to justify that huge spend. Udom told us that shoprite is coming made so much noise, two years now, no shoprite. Is shoprite waiting for state funds. He made so much noise about automobile plant at itu, the rest is history. This man embarked on many fake ground breaking ceremonies for fake PPP projects, we now know better. Udom is a totally confused, visionless,incompetent, and unintelligent bofoon that loves praise, check out the pictures , you have more pictures of him than his so called sub standard projects. bullshit!, Udom is the worst thing that can happen to any state or even local government. "Udom commissions this and that", yet the pictures are more of him than even the so called projects. The man is a fraud and needs to leave the stage for a more competent person. That stooge akwa ibom governor is busy using all this money to pay akpabio and his cohorts back his debts because there is nothing on ground that matches that kind of allocation. He is visionless, boisterous,praise-loving,clueless, wicked and very empty.

Akpabio can go fvck himself for all i care. I watched him praise wike's leisure park as one of the best in west african , yet this fooool started building a tropicana which he said using their language "first of its kind in africa" in uyo which he used as a front front to loot over billions and later abandoned it. As we speak nobody is talking about the WASTE going on at that place! Akpabio, the thunder that will fire that your running mouth ehhh, will come with 5 generations of evil spirits.

Seat warming governor. The only time you see him is when he is attending PDP meeting, child dedication, pastor ordination(with one nearly killing him), useless ground breaking occasions, burials, birthday parties, in his office receiving political sycophants.
