If your first marriage was legally conducted then you need to go for divorce before applying for your current wife and kids . As it stands you are still married to your ex wife and that is what is in your immigration file.

I hope you still have enough time to go through this process and apply for them on time for PSW?
i am not sure because the divorce process i have to contact a lawyer and besides i dont even talk to this person again so the process will be hard for me. I dont know what to do to bring my family here.

Then go ahead and apply and explain why you did not add those kids name, you have their birth certificates and pictures from the traditional marriage?
yes i do, so i should basically change the info i have on file and apply for wife and the new kids right?

Did you select single when asked about your marital status?
i selected married and included her name because we were living together and was about to start marriage rites before things fell apart. I had submitted the application for the visit visa before we split

Hello,.
Oh okay if I get you correctly, you stated you were married, you also put her name as your spouse along with the child but she didn't apply at that time with you so you didn't submit any marriage certificate.

That was clearly a misrepresentation, my advise, you should legally marry your wife ( court or church/mosque or if your traditional marriage is registered and has a certificate), include your dependants and write a solid cover letter to clear this, in addition to other documents(I e.family pictures etc)

Hopefully it is not a serious issue for you and your dependants

Cheers

. I am going to nigeria next month, we will get married God willing. Would i need to provide a divorce certificate for my ex gf considering were not legally married? Thank you for your assistance

Like someone already suggested, seek professional advice. I suggest you use very clear and meaningful terms like wife, girlfriend. Terms like woman, partner, blurs the story and creates room for assumptions. Rest assured, since it's a problem, there's a solution. Worse case is you provide divorce certificate and marriage certificate.
thanks, as i am not legally married to my live in gf, will i be required to provide a divorce certificate for our separation? Thanks

Hello,

So how was she included as your spouse in your visa application? What did you submit as proof of marriage/relationship?

Cheers
It was a visit visa so i just wrote her name and the child’s name in the spouse section. We were living together at that time

Helloz

Were you married? If so are you legally divorced?

If not you have to be legally divorced before submitting a new marriage certificate and bringing your dependant along.

Cheers
I wasnt legally married to my first, we were licing together. My second we have done traditional rites since last year but not court

The dates should make sense. He can divorce the old spouse this year and marry the new one next year before applying for them.

The story is complicated with relevant info left out. Has he married any of the two ladies? He used the terms ex, break up and new love. You can't divorce whom you are not married to. He needs a professional in this field

i broke up with my first woman, i just wanted to be on the safe side for myself first. Thats why i did not put the information on the change in information section. Lord help me with this situation

You left out vital information about change in circumstance and instead provided like it was when you applied for visitor visa?
Best to get an immigration lawyer to help you out. Seems complicated already because of the misrepresentation.
yes, i was trying to not mess up the application for myself thinking i can sort things out when i get here.

Personally, I don't think it matters. What may matter is how much the sponsor in question declares for you and the volume of transactions on his account(s). We have heard of sponsors who had less than required in their account but because of their status and high volume of credit in their account, they were still able to secure TRVs. I think the more the merrier so far both sponsors have what it takes to cater to your financial needs in between them.
Thank you for the response, it brings my nerve down a lil... May this new week be a week of Blessing and TRV for every hopeful in the house.. Amen

thank you very much everyone. I have sorted out the issue and transcript is on its way to Canada as we speak. I sent it myself using EMS and they said 10 working days which is not bad. I have another question which is bothering my mind. When it's time to apply. Can the funds in my account be more than that of my sponsor? I'm trying to get everything ready so that I won't be late when applying. So if it's logical, pls let me know so I can what if I will have to find another sponsor. And also do I need my tax certificate when applying because I will also be sponsoring myself along with a sponsor. Thank you all And have a blessed day.

Hello great people.. I have a little problem and I know you guys will help me. I applied to George brown college and after sending them the scanned copy of transcript they said they need the official from my school but my school said if they want to send it themselves it's going to cost 26k which is on the high side for me. I have an option to pay 12k and collect it myself and send via EMS at Nipost because it is much more cheaper. I want to ask if I send myself through nipost will they school reject it? Im using this medium because it's against may2016. Pls urgent advice is needed. Thank you everyone and happy Sunday to you all.
