MzzTega:Egusi and fufu with cow leg. I'm a local bloke. What are you gonna eat? |
Cutehector:She does just didn't fix something tonight. |
MzzTega:Be ready to have me eat from your tummy then. No way I'm going hungry tonight when I have you around. ![]() |
MzzTega:Better. Buy something for me o. Mesef dey hungry. |
MzzTega:Oh really. That's very providential of him. Thank God for preserving his life and rest in peace to those who couldn't make it. He sure must be traumatised from the collision impact. Sad one. What do you intend to have for dinner since you couldn't cook? |
MzzTega:Hmmm sorry to hear that. Hope it's not serious. Where did it occur? Have you been briefed about his stability after the accident? |
Many people are now focused on what's in for them in a relationship than what they can contribute to it success. People don't want to commit as much as they expect or actually receive. Relationships take a lot of work, compromise, and understanding. A lot of people are misled into thinking that the best way to avoid having to deal with dispute is to end the affair, not realizing that they will have to deal with the same issues in the next relationship. We'd form much stronger bonds with one another if we each could show our partners that we cared so much for them that we'd be willing to experience anything as long as we experienced it together with them. The foremost issue is for one to sought for inner happiness of one's self other than waiting for someone to provide them happiness. Everyone is responsible for their happiness so if you can't derive happiness within yourself no one else can secure it for you. |
MzzTega:Awww nice of you to check on me. I do miss you too. What's good? Wetin you cook? |
MzzTega:Hello dearies, how's you? |
Nicely written. |
It's not friend zoning since you never asked her out. It's more of NSA - no string attached relationship. Nothing new. |
Toks2008:Lol @ I can spend millions on the lady I love. Sounds like you're remitting the money into the lady's account when you're actually spending it on fanfare and to conform to society idiosyncrasy. I understand what you meant by that though. Everyday we complain how there are husband scarcity and how the number of spinsters keeps skyrocketing when we know clearly the reason for this occurrence. Marital rights of many ethnic groups in Nigeria is high and many struggling bachelors are finding hard to afford it. How do they expect someone who has 500k capital for instance to fund matrimonial rites that could gulp 300k. A money that might have took him years to save up goes just like that? I even find it foolish for a guy with a 2million net worth to spend up to 500k for a wedding. Heck, it's just a day ceremony why not save up when the kids start coming up. Go to a marriage registry and wed there. It's cheap and serves same purpose of a marriage. |
wristbangle:Good luck to anyone that tries such to a no nonsense fellow sha. |
wristbangle:Depends. I can't say precisely how the majority of them would react but I'd expect any sane fellow to return the slap with precision. |
ApexTitan:http://www.wsj.com/articles/living-together-may-be-even-better-for-your-health-than-marriage-1424145641 http://www.today.com/health/couples-who-cohabitate-are-happier-marrieds-1C9382221 http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/1248423 The above are just three among other links of research that suggest cohabitation is better or same as marriage. For the record, I don't submit to these research even as I don't agree anyone is better and it's subjected to individual's perspective. I'm aware there are also many studies that posits marriage is better as either is derived from the pundits and the community/individuals whose opinions were collated. I'm not backing cohabition but saying that whichever of the two anyone finds suitable they should grab it and care less about objections and what the greater populace thinks. No one should rub in their opinion on others. Just accept which you think is right for you and let others theirs. |
She slaps you and you respond with a kiss means expect more slaps any time there's a disagreement. I think that only happens in the movies sha and it's no way a romantic gesture. Even oyibo no go do that one. |
adahgold:I don't know how to react to your comment sha. But hasn't it occurred to you that some people are unreligious, even doesn't believe in the existence of a God? |
TV01:I don't get it. What research are you talking about as I can't find any attached to the OP's post. If you're talking about research from scholars and educational institutions then there are as many which disagree about marriage being better than cohabitation. And I also fail to see why you concluded my postulations are erroneous and yours factual by the argument you submitted. A WAEC and B.sc holder are both accorded certificate so that doesn't correspond with the discourse. |
MarvellousGod:Sure your belief isn't anyone's business neither is anyone's belief yours. However, when one attempt to attach markers on what is wrong or right based on their personal belief/principle then it becomes the business of anyone who doesn't subscribe or view issues on premise of established doctrines to clarify it. Individual beliefs and principles doesn't delineate right choices. That was the drive behind my response to your comment. I'm not advocating for cohabition neither am I marriage. I'm for everyone adopting what makes them happy and only pointing out the differences and not so much of a difference of the two stages of a relationship. Why should what the society address loving and happy couples as bothers them. If they like they can call them whatever they like it's their headache. The husband or wife designate doesn't change who they are and stand for. I don't know about Nigerian laws but some develop countries like many in Europe recognises cohabitating couples and accords them same rights as married ones. They can secure visa and residency under civil partnership rights. In the UK, civil partnership couples and women in cohabition relationship are also accorded equal alimony settlements in the divorce courts. |
TV01:I'm sure consensus wouldn't agree that marriage is more likely to produce a more effective outcome than other forms of relationships especially cohabs if the survey is focused on married couples. People could be married and have kids but still doesn't mean they're contented and might just be stuck in the union to avoid being stereotyped. Marriages collapses on an almost equal scale as cohabs couple nowadays so I don't see the sentiment and certitude than one is better than the other. Just like marriage cohabitation doesn't also secure happiness, however, whatever any feels would guarantee them contentment they should go for it. I still maintain that a marriage cert is the only distinguishing element between a married couple and cohabs ones and your discountenance couldn't dispel it. |
mutter:All what you said here can also be experienced by unmarried couples who are cohabitating. Children are the most valuable treasure anyone could afford whether married or not. While I subscribe to the marital institution and won't discourage anyone who cherish it, it's pertinent one points out that couple can still live happily without a ceremonial piece of paper christened marriage cert that doesn't effect any thing useful. |
MarvellousGod:The difference between a married couple and a cohabitating couple is the marriage cert, a piece of paper which doesn't determine the success or failure of the union. One can build a family and live happily too without nuptials. That you can't cohabitate doesn't make your decision the better one to those who does. The keyword is happiness. Not what society and organized doctrines believes to be right or wrong. |
KashyBaby:Good response to that dumb question. You don't need marriage to be happy. Happiness is the most important thing in life and even if you're to stay single and happy forever without marriage doesn't make you any less of who you are. Fxck social norms, societal stereotypes and it rules. |
castroevans:I beg to disagree sir, marriage is not for everybody and your analogy is groundless as Adam and Eve themselves never got married. Or if you have any biblical reference that said they had nuptials let's have it. |
pcguru1:True. |
Things dey happen for Facebook o. This woman just dey run ashawo biz for there like sachet water. Relationship/marriage nowadays is getting more scary. Safe for procreation the marital institution might soon run into extinction. |
No doubt Oshiomhole is a loquacious clown and a fatuous jester but I'm surprised this is coming from Orubebe the international lunatic. Kettle and pot sha. |
sonofananimal:Lol! Maybe e follow for those wey dem deport from Cameroon o. Abeg teach him the difference between team foreign girls and Naija babes. ![]() |
No women in your hood, campus, workplace or city ![]() |
Not a problem provided no one compels the other to change their faith. If you want to date her you must be ready to allow her practice her religion and likewise she too. Maybe it's just me but religion is the last thing I consider before embarking on a relationship. Go for what you want mate. |

. Have you read up on the subject? All empirical studies clearly show that marriage is far superior to co-habing and non-cohabbing domestic realtionships. Especially where children are involved. up to x6 better than the former and x10 better than the latter.

, I simply couldn't pass without addressing this;
