Look at this hottentot, let Oxford educate you.

Interview

>Noun

1 an occasion on which a journalist or broadcaster questions a person.

2 a formal meeting at which a person is asked questions to assess their suitability for a job or college place.

3 a session of formal questioning of a person by the police.

VERB

Hold an interview with someone
. . . NB - it didnt says anything about the interviewer or the interviewee.

You need to understand the context in which a word is used before trying to ridicule the sentence or the writer.Meanwhile, you arent smart as I thought either.

help me educate these children...abeg!!

boyendowed: SSS invitation letter to Bakare.Someone should have edited that letter
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the grammer, this is security parlance, deal with it. You are being invited to interveiw the whoever, but if it were the whoever, seeking to come interveiw you, then it would be phrased differently!!!
(^^ i bet you, some ITK will say my grammar here is poor, then i'll tell u to go back 2 school, and pay attention!!!)

By the way....weda grammer correct or not, the message remains the same...''get your a** down here in one piece,or we come get it in as many pieces as possible.''

Politics / Re: 16 MASSOB Members Killed, 83 Injured, 500 Arrested In Raid Of MASSOB Offices ! by roqchiq(f): 6:04pm On Jun 06, 2012
Chyz*:
16 killed, 83 injured as security operatives raid MASSOB offices

Wednesday, 06 June 2012 00:00 From Uzoma Nzeagwu , Awka. News - National

A COMBINED team of the police, army and other security operatives yesterday killed about 16 members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and injured 83 others as they raided the offices of the group in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State and its environs.

Also arrested during the raid that lasted from Monday night to yesterday morning were over 500 members of the group, including women at different locations in the state.

Is this possible First; Where will they keep 500 people? Secondly: where are the dead bodies, give us genuine pictures, thirdly; where are the injured, can any hospital verify please,if not hospital, were did they put them?

The MASSOB National Director of Information and the Onitsha Region Four Administrator, Uchenna Madu and Chief Arinze Igbani, who briefed reporters over the incident, declared that the raid on their offices by the security operatives was unwarranted and provocative, saying that it was a renewed plot by the army to resume a systematic clampdown on MASSOB.

Why won't they? i reside in onitsha, these so called Massob, make life a living hell for us,they are violent tools at the hands of moneybags, they operate indiscriminately, selling their services to the highest bidder, they even have cells were they detain and torture people,i have neighbours who have fallen victim of Massob

Madu said : “At about 5 p.m., a detachment of security operatives, numbering over 50, allegedly broke into MASSOB office along ‘Pam Pam’ lane at the Onitsha Main Market. They vandalized the office, set the Biafran flag ablaze and then ordered all those in the neighbourhood to lie down in the flood.”

Kudos to the security agencies, keep it up''

He also alleged that the team invaded MASSOB’s central office along Kilometre Seven , Owerri Road, Onitsha where a security meeting of the movement was holding and opened fire on the people, arresting and killing some of the members on the spot. The team also allegedly made away with the bodies of the dead persons.

The MASSOB leaders urged the immediate and unconditional release of all its members that were arrested or they be arraigned in court.

They also urged security operatives to stop further attacks on MASSOB offices, and that they should respect the sanctity of the Biafran flag.

“MASSOB is non-violent, we have assisted the security operatives in fishing out criminals especially in Onitsha where we have handed over 15 notorious armed robbers and car snatchers to the police”, he said.

"absolute trash''

They appealed to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Azubike Ihejirika and the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar to call their men to order, suggesting that the state Commissioner of Police and the Onitsha 302 Army Commander should always contact the MASSOB leaders whenever they thought they were going beyond control.

Please don't listen to these Massob, we appreciate your efforts in ridding us of these miscreants, please continue.

When contacted, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Emeka Chukwuemeka, confirmed the operation but noted that he was yet to be officially briefed on the number of arrests and casualties recorded.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Citizens Are The Problems Of Nigeria NOT The Government by roqchiq(f): 7:05am On Jun 05, 2012
This is the exact same thing that places Nigeria where it is today. You can't say that the people must change before the Government can change..its wrong. Instead while the people are changing, the government too should be changing,if not the govt will frustrate the change of the people.

We the citizens can change the govt, make them accountable, vote the right people, not the person that gives you a cup of rice and 1k to put him there, and then makes you pay back a bag of rice and 100k because frankly, what do you expect from such a person.

The root is bad,the root is bad, we all say...what about the rotten leaves and snarled branches, havn't you seen trees with strong, rich roots, buried deeply and endlessly into the soil, with strong, broad, trunks, and yet their branches, are terrible infested,dead-looking,all black, and have little or no leaves. That is what our dear country looks like....our roots are healthy, placed where they tap into the richest nutrients the earth has to offer,we come into the world with great ideas, ambitions, but along the line what happens....the brilliant and promising child who should make a positive change is unable to have a solid foundation, because his parents are unable to send him to a good school,he manages to struggle through, yet scholarships are granted to the rich one who can well afford the school and doesnt really need it,the promising child becomes the torture of the society, his brains are negatively channelled. The rich child grows up with the believe that whatever he wants would be handed to him, consequently,he is handed his father's public office, which he does not merit nor understand....and the recycling continues.

Another problem is the selfish and nonchalant attitude of nigerians...''so long as the fire no dey burn my house wetin concern me with water''. What about when the fire eventually comes, because you didnt try to help in putting it out,by then it'll be too late. If only we can sincerely love our country, and try to put things right....

Stop allowing foreigners to brainwash and dictate how we should live, na so we go dey sleep, china sef go come colonise us.

No matter how many houses we build in other countries....Nigeria is the only country we have,it is where God has given us,lets own it...how would you treat your mother, father, your child!,....how do you treat your country....?!

Its not just the leaders, its the people....if we can put in the right person, make him accountable and pull him out when he doesnt perform....instead of kowtowing to our leaders and collecting the measly drops from their tables, and then we'll start complaining, when its time to vote again,he'll give us a cup of rice.

So next time the candidate gives you a cup of rice and #500, to put him in a public office, and you do so....when he decides to make your life a living hell don't complain.

ayox2003: You cant just make decisions and expect people who elected you to swallow it all up!
Do you think Lagos is a dumping ground. Even Fashola retraced his steps with the Doctors.
GEJ is a slow learner. After trying the subsidy removal thingy and Lagosians protested, he thought they would accept immortalising MKO by renaming UNILAG.

He's just insensitive to the plight of Nigerians.

Read this:

Do I need to make any more comment?

Thanks o my brother...we nigerians are just too selfish to recognise manupilation,he just keeps testing us,with one tyrant policy/change after another.I really expect the protest to be about the Govt for the people and by the people...etc, not Govt for the Govt,by the Govt...etc.
Everybody here talking about ''useless students'' protesting the indiscriminate renaming, are opposing and condemning the protest because it doesn't concern/affect them.and that is our problem ''if e no concern me,e no concern me'',''so long as my garri and sugar dey, wetin concern me with those wey dey complain say dem no allow dem plant rice'', you are forgetting that one day your ''garri go finish'',but by then rice no go dey.

Lets be carefull, for chess players you'll understand, that sometimes your opponent keeps you busy trying to escape a small maneouvre, while he's sneaking up on your queen. This whole thing could be a test of nigerian students' (youths) strength,or a diversion to all nigerians from the real problems or a sacrifice offered to some political gods, an ''don't you know am in charge'' move, or an ''i pinched you, what can you do'' move.

Lastly, peaceful protests are rights that can be exercised whenever we want,in a democracy govt, unless you say this is military, then tell us,instead of gassing us.
Religion / Re: Confessing Sins To A Priest , Right Or Wrong ? by roqchiq(f): 11:13pm On May 29, 2012
^^and i repeat....do what pleases you.
While i enlighten you o ye great scholar of catholic doctrine,We don't know who wrote ANY of the gospels....but "religion" hates a
vacuum....it is the same catholic tradition which ascribes the authors of the gospels....they
were written anonymously, blasphemy you say??

I'll invite you to research the ''bible'' which you quote so freely, let me see how strong your faith really is.
Religion / Re: Confessing Sins To A Priest , Right Or Wrong ? by roqchiq(f): 10:53pm On May 29, 2012
Its always advisable to avoid religious debates, however if you say WE catholics blindly file into a confession booth, based on tradition, and aganist the teachings of the bible, then i'll please remind you that this bible is a compilation of books, approved by the same catholics. They choose the books, what stopped them from slipping in a book that supported their traditions and doctrines? Have you ever wondered about that?
Faith is the strongest thing ever, the early christians didn't have the bible yet they managed to somehow get their acts together, all by faith.
If you don't believe in going to confession, then please don't,WE catholics are not advertising for followers,WE are not dangling any carrots in front of the world.
I am not going to quote any passages written by apostles of Jesus Christ to convince you. Personally,I always wondered why the early catholics let the 'Bible' out of their grasp, look at all the trouble that caused.just about anybody and everybody believes they can read and interpret the Bible.
Look beyond catholicism, islam,or whatever,to faith, love, peace, to the Creator, who is omniscient, omnipresence, let others be your mirror,be good inside more than outside, and remember that this world was here before you,and we all will eventually answer to our creator and there are things that can never be explained, that should never be explained, because any attempt to explain it would tear the very fabric of life as we (think) know it.
Finally, everybody keeps opposing WE catholics, and saying we're doing things the wrong way,but I strongly believe you'll be shocked if the ''real truth'' were to be told.infact the whole world would be plunged into some serious anarchy, because your very foundation will be ripped out from under u. So,be careful what you wish for.

The belle demo u installed was notthe actual os, it is a normal update but u didnt check d full name cos u were eager to update to belle smiley or probably it was the video demo that was released by nokia for belle (check ur video folders)

i wont advice staying on your current Operating system cos its no good in any way, but please u must understand how to update to Anna or straight to Belle so u wont make a single mistake which ll brick your phone. And also how to unbrick if it eventually dies on u.

Bricking can be defined as murderin an xpensiv phone in cold blood by damaging the essential files that boots/turns it on.. Thereby rendering the phone useless which automatically makes it a BRICK and no more a PHONE. smiley

I know that feeling. Av u ever seen d Belle OS on anoda n8? U'll feel lyk throwin ur fone away cos u'll feel intimidated.lol. Just press *#0000# as u've already done then press 'check for updates' from the options key. Since it is very likely dat ur n8's OS is stil symbian^3, ur n8 MIGHT first upgrade to Anna b4 actually goin 2 Belle. U can also update ur n8 with ovi suite on ur pc but d file will b much larger than doing it on d fone itself(like 10x larger). If u eventually decide to do it on ur pc, u must have a very smooth internet connection that won't disconnect cos if it does, ur phone might develop little faults. Just try it and give me d feedback.

tanx,i checked for updates,nd it gave me belle demo, downloaded and installed but no change maybe i did it wrong sha. I'll try again.

no be me talk am ooo.it on sahara reporters and pointblank news, couldn't find it in any dailies though.

Anyway, drop your views and opinions please. Also there are stories of violence in some places, what was your own experience during the re-run election.

aharaReporters has confirmed that Andy Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated Chuma Nzeribe of the All Peoples Grand Alliance (APGA) in a rerun election for a senatorial seat. The election took place Tuesday in Anambra State.

Official results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission indicated that Mr. Uba, a former domestic aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo, polled approximately 42,804 votes, beating his main opponent by some two thousand votes.

Our sources on the ground in Anambra State stated that the election, which was overseen by Mike Igini who was sent to the state as the resident electoral commissioner, was relatively hitch-free.

Several of those sources attributed Mr. Uba’s victory to the role played by Nicholas Ukachukwu, who is in court to challenge INEC’s recognition of Uba as the PDP’s senatorial candidate.

Politics / Man Attempts Suicide To Protest Alleged Atiku’s N15m Debt by roqchiq(f): 6:39am On Mar 14, 2012
ABUJA – There was pandemonium at the Federal High Court in Abuja,
yesterday, as a man who gave his name as Musa Inuah Dalhatu,
climbed a telecom mast located within the court, saying he would
commit suicide unless the Chief Judge invoked his powers and
compels former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to pay him a N15
million debt. Inuah, a middle aged man, alleged that he had executed a project for
the former Vice President while he was in power to the tune of N15m,
saying efforts to recover the money had proved abortive. Hanging precariously at the zenith of the mast which is equivalent of
a 15-storey building, the protester said he would not come down
until either Atiku was produced in court or the Inspector General of
Police agrees to investigate the veracity of his allegation with a view
to recovering his money. All entreaties for Inuah who was sighted on top of the mast around
12:15 yesterday, fell on deaf ears till around 4pm when a rescue team
comprising of officers from the National Emergency Management
Agency, NEMA; Nigeria Federal Fire Service and a team of Police
officers led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sunday Odukoya
and the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Moshood Jimoh, finally persuaded him to come down around 4:25pm yesterday. Investigations by Vanguard revealed that the man had earlier
approached the High Court registry with a copy of his petition against
Atiku, demanding to see the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court,
Justice Ibrahim Auta. Upon perusing the documents he tendered, the court clerk advised
him to go and engage the services of a legal practitioner, stressing
that he could not see the CJ unless he was in the company of his
lawyer. The court clerk equally urged Inuah to take the case before a High
Court in Adamawa state, stressing that the High Court in Abuja was
without the requisite jurisdiction to entertain the case. Dissatisfied with the treatment meted out to him by the court
officials, Inuah started creating a scene at the registry located at the
3rd floor of the court complex , an action that forced security men to
order him out of the court premises. Immediately he stepped outside the court, Inua quickly ran to the
back of the building and climbed the telecom mast. A source at the court said Inua had told a security man that accosted
him when he was going to the back of the building that he was going
to ease himself. Armed with a copy of his protest letter entitled “I will not come down
until the Federal Government and Nigerians come into this matter”,
the man started shouting, thereby drawing attention. From right: Inuah on top of the mast and being whisked away by security men. The said letter was copied to the IGP, the National Human Right
Commission, NHRC, Public Complaint Commission, Brigadier
Commander Nigerian Army Yola, Adamawa state governor, the
Director of SSS Adamawa state, and the Adamawa state Emirate
Council. Shortly after he came down yesterday, the man was whisked away
by the police and taken to the Police Headquarters in Abuja. Meantime, media aide to the former Vice President, Mr Garba Shehu,
yesterday, dismissed Inua’s allegation, saying he is mentally
deranged. According to Shehu, “We honestly suspect that this man is mental, if
there is one Nigerian who pays all his bills that one is Atiku Abubakar.
If the idea of this pole climber is to get N2million from the Turaki, this
certainly is not the best way to go about it. “Were it left to me, I will say that the man should simply be ignored.
He will climb down when he gets tired of staying up there.”
