DrayZee:Well said. A desperate administration can do anything to remain relevant. |
I stand with Kowa or any other neutral party for that matter. I've said it several times before, I just hope Nigerians are starting to listen - APC & PDP are the same. Same person, different names. |
Hmm, me thinks EFCC is using all "these" discoveries to distract us.. I'm all for collecting stolen funds, but why the sudden vigour. Anywho hopefully the recovered loot will be reinjected into the economy and not re-stolen. |
Game of thrones, Watched season 1 - 5 about 4 times. Just started Suits, watched season 1 - 4 twice and counting |
In a bid to advise you exposed things that so called "fans" and the entire public sef were unaware of. This makes me question your true objective |
Though not on your list I go for Charles Soludo any time any day. His performance as CBN government revamped the banking sector, and that's the best quality needed in a leader. A starter not a follower who maintains the status quo. Dora Akunyuli was also a starter. |
Hmm, so much for transparency. All staff in charge of communication in this administration need to be queried - from the ministry of information, to this special advisers, chief of staff et al.. There's no information flow, and very poor information management |
When all you have to defend your administration is the criticism of the past then you are doing nothing. How can you call the past administration clueless when you haven't shown any signs of being clue-ful. How can you say the past administration was corrupt when 2 appointees close to the president have been alleged of corruption yet no action taken. I am not saying the past administration isn't guilty as charged but you don't criticize when you are following the same path. |
Let me counter this, despite the known state of the economy the following promises were made: In this regards, a famous social commentator, Ike Chidolue, on Saturday, June 27, went on his Facebook page to post 81 campaign promises made by Buhari. Below are the campaign promises as posted by Chidolue: 1. Public declaration of assets and liabilities 2. State and community policing 3. Ban on all government officials from seeking medical care abroad 4. Implementation of the National Gender Policy, including 35% of appointive positions for women 5. Revival of Ajaokuta steel company 6. Generation, transmission and distribution of at least 20,000 MW of electricity within four years and increasing to 50,000 MW with a view to achieving 24/7 uninterrupted power supply within 10 years. 7. Empowerment scheme to employ 740,000 graduates across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. 8. Establishment of a free-tuition and scholarship scheme for pupils who have shown exceptional aptitude in science subjects at O/Levels to study ICT-related courses. 9. 720,000 jobs by the 36 states in the federation yearly (20,000 per state). 10. Three million Jobs per year 11. To embark on vocational training, entrepreneurial and skills acquisition schemes for graduates along with the creation of a Small Business Loan Guarantee Scheme to create at least 5 million new jobs by 2019. 12. Churches and Mosques would not pay taxes under national laws, but if they engage in businesses, the businesses would pay tax. 13. Provision of allowances to the discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills and entrepreneurial development programme 14. Making the economy one of the fastest-growing emerging economies in the world with a real GDP growth averaging 10% annually. 15. Creation of a Social Welfare Programme of at least fivethousand naira (N5000) that will cater for the 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon the demonstration of children’s enrollment in school and evidence of immunisation to help promote family stability 16. Recruitment and training of at least 100,000 officers into the Nigerian police force and establish a Federal Anti-terrorism Agency. 17. One free meal (to include fruits) daily, for public primary school pupils 18. Building an airport in Ekiti State 19. Eradication of state of origin, replacing that with state of residence to ensure Nigerians are Nigerians first before anything else. 20. Establishment of crime squad to combat terrorism, kidnapping, armed robbery, militants, ethno-religious and communal clashes nationwide 21. Working with the National Assembly towards the immediate enactment of a Whistle Blower Act 22. Economic stability for the ECOWAS nations and maintaining a strong, close and frank relationship with West Africa, South Africa, UK, USA, Canada, and other African countries 23. Establishing a conflict resolution commission to help prevent, mitigate and resolve civil conflicts within the polity. |
Hmm, zombies also in UK, interesting. |
Though I didn't read the write up, it's wrong to say the least for government to intervene in church leadership. Most of these overseers struggled and hustled to build the empire they have today, to now mandate them to hand over is just wrong. |
I'm not a lawyer but unfortunately I doubt the constitution stipulates a limit, except it's established that he's medically unfit to govern. Not to worry though, individuals and countries learn from experience. Recall it was after Yar aduas saga that it became mandatory for the president to hang over power when traveling out on medical grounds . Most definitely in the near future when this is over the constitution will definitely be modified with a provision stating a maximum of days. |
I couldn't have said it better. This write up should be titled "Keys to success". One more to add: 1) Procrastination: we all do it, we can't help it. There's an inverse relationship between Success and procrastination, the more you procrastination the slimmer ur chances of success. |
VajanahDischaj: eezeribe: tizzle:Don't mind me, I meant to say istandwithnigeria protest, I guess I might be getting the zombie virus. Only way I could have mistyped that. God help me o istandwithbuhari wasn't a protest, just an aboki solidarity walk. |
It just doesn't add up though, why can't he address Nigerians? I wish him well but taking pictures with different people doesnt stop the rumors, it only reduces it by a fraction, a video will kill it completely. We all know if the shoes were reversed and PDP were still in power, APC will demand nothing less. |
librangyps:I wonder o. This ain't a protest, just an arrangemet by the govt to "save face". Don't Know about you, but I doubt anyone takes NLC, TUC and all those other politician "funded" agencies serious. |
omogin:I wouldn't even dignify you with a response. |
But cannot address Nigerians, so much for leadership. He's just trying to prevent an impeachment attempt. Eranu people |
Now this is a political driven protest. I don't buy it. The istandwithbuhari protest gave weeks notice, yet no one addressed them. The NLC protest sprung up overnight and the VP, Senate president and Co have "TIME" to address them. Eranu people |

sauceEEP:\ Exactly my thought, why da heck would someone choose that font. |
i dont understand why someone will use this font. |
Ride on. Yes to citizen awareness. Yes to freedom to protest. Yes to Nigeria |
I tire o, with the exception of family members and appointees. |
Correct babe. |
I'm not surprised. Why would anyone in their reasonable mind match in favour of this government. Even the ministers are mute. The best they can do is pay aboki even N200 sef and they will full ground. |
So my Chidi Odikalu was there, big ups for you man. |
Ride on guys. Only few people understand the implication of this protest. This is the FIRST time in the history of Nigeria that the citizens will unite under a common front to protest against the government. Protests in the past all had political undertone. Its shows Nigeria and indeed we Nigerians have advanced politically. Very soon, sooner than most politicians think, It will be very hard to rig, voting arenas with be packed and power will FINALLY return to the people |
NgeneUkwenu:Oppostion post. It dey pain you guys so much eh, my dear whatever makes you sleep at night. Watch channels news tonight, you will be amazed by the crowd. |
This is what i'm talking about. Abeg front page, all the other posts show a sketchy crowd. |
Interesting you spoke to the doctor yesterday, but your colleague Mr. Adesina was telling us about "Doctor - Patient confidentiality" yesterday. Why were you able to access the personal doctor and get such "confidential" information and your colleague kept in the dark. If true, this confirms two of our major problems with this administration: tribalism and poor communication tsk Tsk |
I'm disappointed to say the least. |
