What rubbish Was money also allocated for training of all market women and SME owners? Rearing of animals is a profit making business. Tax payers fundss shouldn't be used in any capacity, except as a loan |
I'm fully for it Wonder why people keep opening threads on this issue. If you like the currently state of things in Nigeria (I.e. your standard of living is better off than it was prior to May 29th) , then please stay at home. If your standard of living, welfare is worse off since this administration was sworn in then please join us on February 6th. Power always belongs to the people |
maclatunji:It depends entirely on his composure, if he dressed decently (as Tu Face did), spoke proper English (as Tu Face did) and made reasonable sense (as Tu face did). I would throw my sentiments away and listen to the message. Lets be rational here, there is no SAINT in the world, there is absolutely no body that would organize a protest that cannot be condemned. We all fall short, some skeletons will be found. Once you acknowledge this, you would understand how important it is to always listen to the message and pay very little attention to the messenger. |
maclatunji:You condemned the messenger instead of listening to the message. Just like they said "isn't that the carpenters son", Yes Jesus was the carpenters son, yet God chose a mere carpenter to father his son. The messenger is insignificant, weigh the message, if it makes sense, join the cause, if it doesn't stay in your house. Simple. Don't come online and form Saint. "Every saint has a past and every sinner a future." |
With the number of articles I'm seeing today, it seems apc have re-hired their cyber zombies. The articles just keep coming up. Una better change and perform, instead of all these non impacting articles. Else 2019 go shock una. |
I disagree with your view on the anti -Buhari protest. This administration has failed in so many ways, where should we start from: 1) selective fight against corruption 2) sluggish pace of policies 3) selective policies - how can tax payers money be used to build grazing reserves? Rearing animals is a business and like other businesses the business owner should pay for all business expenses. 4) ineffective monetarily policies 5) no viable welfare package, fuel price increase, electricity tariffs increase, all translating to increase in food prices, yet no relief system. The list is endless. Nigeria has never had a protest led but a civilian before, this is the first time. That is enough for the apc to get that we are tired, frustrated and will translate that to voting them out in 2019. |
Dude, no offense but you mean you took your time to write this s.hit. Damn, we truly need more jobs in Nigeria. We practice a democracy, citizens can protest at any time for any reason, so long as it's peaceful. Why is the government so scared. Though its quite shameful sha, that the first ever protest led by a non politician is against an administration of "change", an opposition government that we expected so much from. Tsk tsk, it's unfortunate, but not our fault that the administration didn't perform. |
We don't care, even sef let Mugabe sponsor it. Westandwithnigeria |
hush jare. People are talking you sef want to talk. Rational people don't criticize the messenger, they hear the message. My brother, get a life o |
Zombie alert ⚠ |
Losers. 2019 go shock then eh. |
Resign resign resign |
Please Nigerians let's come out and protest peaceful. For the government all of a sudden to set up "istandwittbuhari' rally, shows they are scared, they are afraid. Power always resides with the people , lets United as Nigerians stand with Nigeria and not with one man whose body language has further divided nigeria. I don't stand with Buhari, #istandwithnigeria |

Hush jare. It is not by force. It you dont support it (you love the current state of Nigeria) please stay at home , if you do come out. Nigerians are the problem with nigeria. You must not politicize and or tribalize every goddamn thing. |
Very absurd statement. Gosh, these people keep raising the bar of stupidity. Today we might think we've heard the stupidest comments yet, but they keep beating the record daily. So the protest is now an "opposition thing". I would have expected any reasonable government to either be quiet or send a representative to hear the reasons behind the protests. Not respond like an adamu. |
Don't mind Nigerians. All they know how to do is complain, come out and make a difference they will start crucifying the messenger and not hear the message. Any nairalamder that doesnt join the protest but comes online to criticise this govt, just watch and see karma is a f.ucking a bitc.h |
Mechanism for rigging. |
Politicians, since they can't stop him they want to link this protest with politics. Losers, whether they admit it or not this administration so far has failed ALL nigerians, so if you like say Trump is behind the protest, we go still join protest una. |
Well the most effective and efficient definitely goes to Mrs Dora Akunyili... For now i don't think we really have any powerful female politician. We did under the last administration and it was the finance and petroleum minister; they weren't actually politicians, but they wielded so much power. One can only imagine how powerful they would have been if they were actually politicians. Under this administration we don't have ci ci |
They can't. Both countries need each other. Besides the queen already invited him over. |
the babe made too much sense. Even as a lady i was impressed. |
My Sweetheart is back. Roger, 3 chop knuckles. |
We all know that aint gonna happen. The democrats wouldn't have it, California gives them 55 electoral votes, the largest number by a single state. |
B.S Another political motivated article. Please be honest with yourself for one second, has this administration in anyway fulfilled any of the promises that made you vote them in. People are being sacked everyday, People are dying of starvation everyday And you have the effrontery to attribute this to politics. You should really be ashamed of yourself. If you like continue deceiving yourself and 2019 vote for them again. You will be shocked to know that except APC rig the election (which i know they will do) they cannot win. Few zombies like you can't pull it off. You are too inconsequential to win the majority |
Really, this is all you've got. I wish you well sha, but no need to form. |
azimibraun:Firstly to clarify, Trump never said (doing his campaign or now as president) that he'll ban importation, he only proposed adding tariffs on imported goods, specifically 35% on all goods imported into the country from Mexico and China. Next, you mentioned the current administration (in Nigeria) sudden love for Agriculture. The agricultural sector is a long term investment sector, before Nigeria can substantially earn reasonable income from that sector will take nothing less than a decade. While i am for buying and hiring Nigerians, the current administration has not created an enabling environment. In case you haven't noticed the "Floating exchange rate policy", increase in fuel price, electricity tariff, and the soon to be imposed internet charges. The cost of running a business is getting to high, how will SMEs survive? You need to create an enabling environment. I have so much more to write, but let me not bore you. You asked for 1 failed policy/scheme of this administration, i will give you 3, and that's just because i'm tired of typing. 1) School feeding program: 375 million disbursed for feed children for 7 days - not only is this a waste of funds, it creates an avenue for corruption. Why expend on feeding children when that money can be invested in improving the standard of education - increasing teachers salaries, providing basic educational amenities, scholarship programs for the best performing student, etc etc. 2) N-Power program: what exactly is the objective of this program, the partakers aren't guaranteed of employment after the program, the stipend being paid is not enough to get the basic necessities for survival. So what exactly does the scheme plan to achieve? Why not use the funds to give loans to SMEs, get a proper documentation program with little or no collateral. Not only will this create jobs, the fund is productive as opposed to the current stipends. 3) Development of ranches for rearing animals: This is not the responsibility of Government, how will they use tax payers money to provide ranches for business men. This is just like saying they will provide free shops for all business women in Wuse market.. very absurd... To the best of my knowledge rearing animals is a business and so the owners should bear the cost. Government duty is simply to speak with State/local government to provide lands that will be RENTED by the herdsmen. Not to talk of the plethora of campaign promises, in which NONE have been fulfilled almost 2 years after inauguration. The primary responsibility of government is the protection of lives and property, but when a certain tribe feel they can just maim Christians and the president, interior minister and the governor of that state fail to condemn the act, then we have a problem. the list goes on and on and if any one is blind to see the failure of this administration then that person indeed has a problem. |
Thats the problem with nigeria. When ever its time to make a positive move, a small fraction start tribalizing it. Nigerians are protesting, no one cares if you are yoruba, igbo, hausa, or of any of the other 350 ethnic groups in Nigeria. If you are not happy with the current administration's policies and or state of the economy, come out and join the protest, SIMPLE. gosh. |

catal:In case you haven't noticed the population of zombies have drastically reduced. I even anticipate a total eradication of all zombies before the year ends. |
No right thinking Nigerian will boycott it. Trust me |
This is a very wrong move. This administration keeps messing up every day. Yes, the pastor made an inflammatory statement, but his tone showed it was out of anger. The government seems to be doing nothing absolutely nothing about the killings of christians by fulanis. Couldn't the interior minister have visited his church to show a sign of respect or the DSS summon him rather than the dss treating him like a criminal. This administration knows no diplomacy, picking up a pastor with so many follwers will just further divide the country. Though personally i dont like Fayose, but Buharis ignorant actions keeps making Fayose the winner in every situation. How dear you send dss, anybody that votes for the man im 2019 is... Let me not talk. |
