If true, this is sad... Once cannot constructively criticise superiors anymore. Yet we claim to be practicing democracy, what then is freedom of speech?? |
Please please please nigerians we need to support this bill. Speak to your senators and rep members, say NO, HELL NO to early marriages. Early marriage is the root cause of the north's underdevelopment, and once a section of the country is poor, the entire country is poor as we are all connected. I love Sanusi for this write up, we keep building churches and mosques instead of schools. In the early days, most schools were run by churches (Anglican, Methodist, etc), we need to revive this, as there is no development with illiteracy. I was speaking to one of my northern sisters and she said, so ignorantly, that she will have as many children as her womb can produce as her religion preaches to reproduce, like wtf children you cannot afford to raise, that will constitute a nuisance to the society, this should be a crime and punishable. |
Perfect. Wonder why some students still plan to cheat and copy during exams. Its not by force to get a degree, leave the degrees for the academia and you can focus on your "skill" if you have one. After all Desiigner cannot speak English but he's making millions. And Wole Soyinka speaks perfect English and is also making millions. There's more than one route to success. |
maclatunji:Your write up presupposes that I am against cattle rearing or insensitive to their plight. I do know they are moving to the south due to desertification (no fault of theirs), my stance is that they should acquire land in the south for ranches. This SHOULDN'T be the governments responsibility. For how long will tax payers money be used to subsidize business cost. The only job of government is to create an enabling environment: in this case discuss with state government to organize a lease process for farmland, the cost should be borne solely by the business owner . I still repeat that just like a curfew is imposed with no input from the legislative arm, roaming of cattle on the streets should be ILLEGAL AND BANNED. You haven't had a personal encounter with some of these herdsmen, very arrogant and insensitive. Why invade another man's farming business and feed your cattles with their crops. They have an "entitlement" mentality, hence the problem we are facing. Anywho, this is my opinion, when there's no law anything goes. BTW, free range animals are everywhere in the world, but they are restricted to certain areas, usually the outskirts, not city centers. |
Love the wema bank poster. Lmao, sharp marketing. |
maclatunji:Even in the United States (the country adjudged to have the best practiced democracy) the president can issue executive orders. I believe our constitution also provides for such. When there is a law, it will be followed. Recall when our Immigration policy was revised and Ghanaians with invalid papers were sent out, govt didn't have to remove anyone, they went on their own accord to avoid the consequences. If an order is given today that no herdsman can roam cattle on the street, they will stop and the owners (which mind you aren't poor & wretched individuals) will build ranches. It the same way drivers act as lunatics when there's no traffic light. Law is meant to regulate people and the absence of law is the beginning of tyranny. I am honestly amazed at your line of thinking. Rearing cattle is a profession (profit generating for that matter) and not a philanthropic activity, business owners should buy business spaces. You don't hear the govt saying they will rent offices for traders in the market. The government needs to be fair across board, but in this case it clear there's some form of partiality. Why wouldn't people speculate that its because he and the Agric minister have cattle and are Fulani's. |
Yes, however we had no better alternative, so I guess he was to lead us out but NOT to the final land. I just hope both parties field better candidates. |
I'm still disappointed that this executive hasn't acted on this herdsmen issue. Issue a degree - no roaming of cattle, it's that easy, cattle owners should have a ranch. |
If this can happen under Buhari, I am speechless. This is or rather was one area, infact the only area I respected his administration for, reducing and fighting corruption. Is it fighting corruption under this administration all a media hoax ![]() |
Guyman02:Wrongly stated, he recalled the bill to partially repeal obamacare as he and Ryan knew they didn't have the numbers. It's more like an internal party issue as some republicans against it. So the vote was not held, the bill was pulled before the vote. Obama care will still be repealed. |
Dude its still private. The fact that you can see it doesnt mean you can touch it or otherwise. |
Biko how did Churchill make this list? His source of wealth is undisclosed, i am not hating o, i just noticed the the list explained for others except him. The source is very important o |
Well said, though i am a strong proponent of coursthip. Methinks there are certain things you cannot know in a few months, it's a normal human tendency to "form", we all do it. On the first few dates we are conscious of what we do, say, and how we act. So rather marry the "formed up" version of someone why not take the time and break that formality. |
I might not like Atiku but if I have to choose between him and Buhari, he's got my vote. As Professor Sadiq would say, if presented with 2 devils (figuratively speaking) you should vote the lesser devil. |
It's not about being able to name deputies, it's underscoring an important fact which is that deputies are usually not popular, relevant or known except in the absence of the governor. |
Yes, we know INEC will rig the election like you did in Edo |
Dora, Dora, her slogan is still being used "Nigeria great people great nation. Not being tribalistic, but Igbos have performed this function well. BTW I ain't igbo This is FG worthy, let's hear from Nigerians |
Another point to note is that the guy left home for 3 days, who does that ![]() If the OP said the entire story then the husband doesn't seem remorseful. If your wife catches you sex chatting and threatens divorce you should be remorseful and apologetic not get angry and move out. Some men eh |
alizma:Dude what are you saying, because this is a very absurd statement. When did being a president at 74 become an achievement? This is the nonsense mindset that's holding this country back. I have no hatred for the commander in chief, but if you are sick simply resign. This can't happen anywhere else in the world, except 3rd world countries. Please tell me which company will hold on to an employee that's too sick to perform his functions? Anyways i wish him a quick recovery. |
shevchenko:Spot on. This seems most likely as they cannot openly say this. It will cause a diplomatic uproar. Its possible when you connect your flight passing through one of these countries or have visited in the past, they have no way of vetting your activities there. |
No matter how they spin it, the PAwas wrong in her approach. Its all about diplomacy & she lacks the authority for what she did. Even sef 1000 people can come out with the same story, it doesn't change the fact that she erred and should be queried |
You might not like him,I might not like him, but we gotta admit the guys got swag. |
omogin:She should have met with the Foreign Affairs Minister, and the committee on foreign affairs in the Senate to express her concerns. Its not her place to issue such warning, she's just a PA - Personal adviser. Its just like the PA on Financial Matters announcing the new exchange rate policy. We have institutions with that function. |
Dont mind madam PA for misleading us all. People appointed under this administration need to stick to their JD. Even if her fears were/are genuine its the sole duty of the Ministry of Foreign affairs to issue such warning. As a PA your duty is to advise the president and nothing more. |
Who is that adamu with the phone. Nonsense, it rang the first time and you couldn't put it on silent. The media organisation need to query somebody, so unprofessional for a phone to ring, particular during her closing statement. |
Nixiepie:He's looks alone makes one laugh |
It's not your place to say, only the executive and other arms of government can determine that. That's the problem with people appointed under this administration, always doing over sabi, instead to focus on their JD. That's how the PA to the president on diaspora was issuing warning yesterday, forgetting her job is just to advise the president. We have a whole ministry who alone have the responsibility and are authorized to issue such warnings. Nonsense people |

I love the style, need to sow one for me self |
