MrMcJay:Mugabe is very smart economically and politically. By redistributing the land of Zimbabwe he has ensured that future generations of black Zimbabweans will actually own their country, and not be slaves to the whites. He knew the western sanctions would hurt his country, but he reckoned it was a sacrifice worth making for the future of his beloved Zimbabwe. People forget that Mugabe personally fought in the bush for 20 years in the Rhodesian war of independence. He has bullet wounds to prove it. Do you think such a man could be a mere ceremonial president like Mandela? Allowing the whites to own the country while he sat in the state house as 'first black president'? He didn't have time for that shiit. For him, Zimbabwean independence had to mean true independence, not paper independence. He's an African hero, and I'm not surprised he said what he said to Trump, because he's fearless. |
Has he been found yet? Is he now hiding in the remote hills and caves of Enugu or Umuahia, similar to his mentors in Afghanistan and Yemen? Is he sipping tea in a cave with his henchmen, while plotting his next terrorist attack? Let us hope federal troops have a good idea where he is hiding, and if necessary, smoke him out of his cave. The last thing we need is further destabilisation of the polity. |
SuperStriker:Are IPOB threatening people and forcing them not to vote or go to work in those respectable countries? If they did, they would be labelled terrorists there. They only behave civilised when they are demonstrating in Europe. In Nigeria they revert to their true nature as terrorists. Soon the world will catch on. Maybe during the next election when CNN visits Enugu or Onitsha and finds people who are too terrified to go out and vote because of the fear of IPOB retaliation. Then the world will know they are terrorists, who, like their Boko Haram counterparts, do not believe in the rule of law and democracy. |
TheKingdom:STFU you terrorist. |
IloveTrump:You are a dumb nitwit. Are you aware that Trump held a long meeting with African leaders? Stupid, hateful bastard. Don't do something useful instead of spreading lies and hate online. Animal. |
Great. Now they can move their resources to the South East to defeat the terrorists there. |
IJOBA2:I understand. Labelling me a "muslim" is your way of avoiding the points I raised. That way you don't have to look in the mirror and confront your dumbitude. |
IJOBA2:I am not a Muslim, you ignoramus. |
drake22:The problem with them is that they allow emotion to override their intellect. If they learnt to strategise, they could end up even taking over from the Hausa Fulani, as the 'big boys' of Nigeria. After all they are more proximate to the oil and gas resources than the other main ethnicities. But they refuse to use their brains, and strategise long-term. You would have thought that 40 years after the civil war defeat, they would have learnt to do this, but it is still the same short-sighted, impulsive approach Ojukwu and co adopted that characterises them in 2017. |
BanevsJoker:What "governor and cronies" are you referring to? None of them stole "billions of dollars" whatever you think their "capacity" is. What have you done with what you have?Since independence, we've built nearly 200 universities, thousands of schools, thousands of miles of roads, bridges, flyovers, educated over 120 million of our people, created the largest middle class on the African continent, and established viable industries, including vehicle and computer manufacturing. We also have the largest movie and entertainment industry in Africa. We have a lot more to do, but we haven't stood still either. |
In 2017 these backward fools are still using pencil and biro to write on placards. It only takes a few minutes to create printed placards or they don't have printers in the East? |
RomeSankara:Keep lying to, and deceiving yourself. So IPOB now want to be treated as traitorous terrorists and no longer 'peaceful agitators', correct? A sign of an arrogant, narcissistic people is a refusal to acknowledge their errors or confront their intellectual shortcomings. |
nototribalist:You are a demon. That is why you care not for the innocent children that would be killed and maimed if such an action were taken. |
These IPOB people showed they are amateurs, by openly talking of creating a Biafra Secret Service. If you are going to create such a thing, you don't say anything about it. And you deny it exists if anyone raises the issue. It is not 'secret' if the federal govt knows about it. If only they spent less time badmouthing Nigeria, and more time studying and researching how to form a really deadly and effective operation, they wouldn't be in this mess. |
omenka:Don't mind them. The guy don take off. He's probably in London by now. |
According to Reuters, the Nigerian Airforce has responded to requests by the army for air support, by deploying fighter jets to the South Eastern region of the country, to help counter the terrorism by IPOB. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nigeria-security/nigerian-air-force-deploys-aircraft-to-restive-southeast-idUSKCN1BU30J |
lenghtinny:Not surprised you lash out in the face of intellectual defeat. Kpele. Keep hating Nigeria. We don't even know you exist. |
lenghtinny:If black Nigerians who took over from the British did not start the universal free education that educated you, you would be an illiterate village peasant like your grandparents were under British rule. So thank your lucky stars for Nigerian independence. The real and true Nigerians are people like INNOSON and Dangote, and the brilliant young Nigerians in Yaba 'Silicon Valley', Lagos, who are investing in the future of this country through manufacturing, innovation, and production, not self hating cockroaches like you who bring nothing to the table except your inferiority complex. |
cstr1000:Why do you have to tell lies to make a point? Nigeria does NOT 'get' what Israel 'gets' from the US. End of story. Stop lying. What has Nigeria done with the billion and billions of dollars of the oil windfall from america over the decades? That is as free a money as one can get.She educated you. She educated over a 100 million people left illiterate by the British rulers who looted this country dry for 70 years and put nothing back. Nigeria started from zero in 1960. No infrastructure, no industries, no universities, and mass illiteracy and malnutrition. Plus an ethnically and religiously divided nation. She has come a long way despite all those handicaps. Israel does not have the history, or the huge 200 million population of Nigeria to cater for, so comparing the two nations is the height of tomfoolery and ignorance. Banking the success of a nation on aid is false. They could have embezzled those funds but instead they used it well to get themselves productive and independent..Israel is NOT independent. If the US pulled the plug tomorrow they would crash and burn. Netanyahu is being investigated on corruption charges, so it is false to claim they are not corrupt. You are not in their govt so you have no clue what they have embezzled. Their population is so small that they can embezzle and still have more than enough funds to develop their country. |
lastmessenger:If "innocent civilians" in Israel began agitating violently to secede from Israel, break up the country, and steal its resources, Netanyahu would not sit and have tea with them either. He would crush them. It is Buhari's job as elected president to maintain the territorial integrity of Nigeria. If you don't like it, go and live in Israel. |
Intrepid01:Don't mind the brainwashed, allergic-to-research, white worshiping dummies. Left to them Netanyahu is even the direct descendant of Jesus and Moses. |
lenghtinny:Inferiority always seems like "the truth" to the self-hating. |
cstr1000:Stop talking rubbish. America's "aid" to Nigeria is just a few token millions a year. Israel receives more US money than ALL African nations combined, and has done so since 1948. With their tiny population of 5 million or whatever, why will they not prosper with billions of free dollars landing on their laps every year? Including billions of dollars worth of US weapons, given them to bully the rest of the Middle East. Fact is Israel would be NOTHING today without the USA, so take your worship of them and stick it up your you know what. |
FSBoperator:You are an ignorant dunce. Christians have killed more innocents in this world than muslims. It is not even close. George W Bush, a Christian, murdered over 1 million Iraqis on a pack of lies about WMDs. American christians slaughtered millions of Vietnamese in their war, and American christians dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing over 150,000 people in a matter of seconds. Name me one Muslim nation that has done anything even close to this. |
nototribalist:Dummy, Israel slaughters innocent Palestinians and is building houses illegally on Palestinian land, in violation of international law. It is denying Palestine their right to a viable state. God does not support wickedness and injustice. |
lenghtinny:Lenghtinny: Definition of self-hate and inferiority complex. |
cstr1000:Israel receives several billions of dollars per year from the USA, and enjoys free access to the US and other western markets. Akwa Ibom doesn't. Think about that for a minute. |
phiszo:She is right. Women are naturally selfish. They only give if there is something in it for them. That could be sex, attention, praise-seeking etc. When last did you see a woman giving money to a beggar? When the average woman encounters a beggar on the street, how does she react? Not with pity or empathy, but with disgust and disdain. If he approaches her, she could go crazy, calling him all sorts of names. She would be more concerned about him staining her dress or her nails, hair etc, than his condition. But a man sees a beggar, and he gives unconditionally, passing no judgment. There is a big difference between men and women. |
Divay22:You're talking Bullshit. |
Joe Igbokwe should be the one leading Igbos, due to his common sense, intelligence, and awareness of the issues. Kanu, who looks like a complete jerk in that picture by the way, is not qualified to lead Igbos. |
Timbuktuo:Exactly. If anything, the East is the busiest part of Nigeria, in terms of commercial activity, after Lagos! The business in Onitsha alone is more than the entire northern Nigeria. He talks of "federal commercial establishments" being built everywhere except the East. Which federal commercial establishment is in Sokoto, or Borno, or Katsina, or Bauchi, or Kwara, or Edo? Where? |
OP said: It was evident when no Igbo qualified to become the Inspector General of Police, or leader any division in the armed forces. It was there when ‘ sensitive” or ‘lucrative “ positions were shared in Nigeria and Igbos were conspicuously absent. It was there when Igbos were only fit enough to be made Minister of Information until Obasanjo came to power. And even recently, it was there when Buhari appointed 47 people to man the critical roles in his government and no one from the South east was there..These are lies.... How can you say Igbos were only fit to be made Minister of Information until Obasanjo came to power? Ebitu Ukiwe was Vice President under Babangida. Alex Ekwueme was Vice President in Shagari's administration. Rear Admiral Alison Madueke was Chief of Naval Staff in Abacha's govt. And can you show us this list of "47 people" appointed by Buhari which excluded Igbos. His did you arrive at the number 47? Are these the only people he appointed, and how do you define 'critical'? |
