Uncle please stop that. Constructions are like women on the street. You go for your choose and taste. Many factors contribute to cost we are talking about.

I expect Spyder008 to say something about it bcs I gave the experience of blocks from his works which has yielded like 52% less of the cost I could have spent on block only.

But I'll say the only standard thing will be that of "cost of materials" which is known by all and same irrespective of location. The difference is some what very negligible.

As to the cost for professional charges for all cadres of workers, I think the right word to use should be " what is obtainable" within an environment.

Am a cool follower of the House. I don't stay where proudness exist but always belong to argument and debate circuit. One of my ogas in school then told me no perfection in drawing likewise no total perfection in engineering work. Here is where I gain most of the existing experience and standard in building/construction but I never disagreed with the man that want to build with less sum.

Last week, my colleague want to plaster her house but only had less than #100,000. Three bed room bungalow. I told her I can help. She couldn't belief. We stated and finished it today. She was surprised. Less than #50,000 was used for the whole labour work. Some things are not allowed to be said here in this case.

Roofing doesn't always have to be concrete fascia...Architecture is now diverting from brutalism to pure modernism.... i have a client who likes flat roof (more of monopitch,shed or skillion) designs as opposed to pitched ones.

Building a 3bedroom duplex and 2units of 2bedroom flat on a half plot of land and have not been spent much

Actually I know what make some of them keep quiet this day is just because some are label names which is not that so aspected by them and many more like that.

What we do we see this days mostly is non professional advise which in turn do give some home base bad names bcs for example some who has not visited site ones in his life or know anything about building will be give building quote to non home base person and later a professional give advise or quote the next thing we will see is that the quote is TOO HIGH,
so many thing like that pls is too annoying why because some of you guru has ran away from here.

If all ran away who will make the this section great again pls that is why I will mention some names here to pls come back again and let’s rebuild this Nairaland as a whole

Pls I will like you people to ponder deeply and come back here and make this section great again

so 20m can't build a house with moderate quality finish, at least something adorable. Cost of land is not inclusive o...and yet 20m can't do anything quality even if it's moderate level?

These houses I see at Ajah that goes for 35m, yet the finish is moderately fine tuned not too high class like having Victorian chairs or some Gold plated shiny interiors.

I think you are exaggerating tho!
One reason I don't like coming to this thread to read stories, it can be discouraging.
