I am in the process of plastering my sock away pit and the engineer is saying I should plaster both sides, I used to think I only have to plaster the place where the waste is going to. Kindly note that 6 inches vibrated blocks were used to build it. Is this correct??

For educational purposes only .
There are solutions to dampness and rising dampness ( both are different) I have explained this some pages back.

Also there is diff in these terms
DPC
DPM
German floor ( floor slab , oversite concr)

DPC; is a course on its own usually comes in 50-75mm thickness made of fine sand and cement usually placed on block walls on foundation. To prevent rising dampness .

Dpm: this is another material made of polyurethane usually placed on block wall on fdn to prevent rising dampness

The above 2 serve the same purpose but overtime it was discovered that DPC do failed so it’s now strongly advisable to go for DPM method .

German floor on its own is for another purpose entirely… I will discuss this later no time now

Tiling is still in progress in one of our project in Lagos. ( pics attached)

Our Ibadan 3 floors shopping complex is almost ready for delivery ( duration ; just 200days ) from demolition of old existing structure to give way for new structure to open key stage .

We applied damproof chemical on our wall and floors here to prevent dampness in our bathroom before tiling.

You're right. I've been mistakingly writing 150ft.
Gpt recommends 2.5hp minimum.
The surprising thing is I actually met a 1hp pump there previously.
I ended up recoiling it, lasted for a year before plumber suggested I use a 1.5hp.

Ok, the pump is fine to do the work adequately without any stress even 1hp will also do it
You need to do what I asked you to do earlier by removing the pump and test run it inside drum filled with water

It's quite deep boss. Can't remember the exact length but it took 48 pipes. It's basically the deepest in the area.
Could it still be low yield?

You mean 48 length of pipes, that is about 500ft bore hole Haa, that your 1.5hp can’t push the water, you will need about 7.5hp or 10hp pump to do the work perfectly ok

The pipe is stainless steel .all this guage and the likes are not good for burglar bars, too light in nature, even common local dog and goat will crash it

Boss, I just bought a brand new interdab 1.5hp pumping machine. Surprisingly it's not functioning well. At first we thought maybe the light is not powerful enough to pump it becusee I checked and saw it was 200v from power company.
I then read on Nairaland suggestions for stabilizer. Shockingly it's also not pumping well.
I've not had a full tank since I bought it, and I've pumped for several hours.
Please help o.

Hello good evening, the pump is a very good product.. You need to bring out the pump from the bore hole and placed it inside drum and filled it with water then test it to be sure if it has adequate pressure, if the pressure is fine then it means the bore hole is not supplying enough water … ( low yield bore hole) then you need to call the driller to do the needful
