IGBOS own Nollywood, Yorubas has no say in Nollywood, so quit posting trash!
I sympathize with those who paid your school fees. Your education was a waste of time, energy & resources. I'm not sure you even know what Nollywood is. The Yoruba, that you were brought up to hate with so much passion, the same Yoruba, that every Igbo sees as their only problem in life, pioneered the anything called entertainment in Nigeria. Be it film production, music or comedy & even till tomorrow, we still produce the very best in the industry. There is hardly one field of human endeavor, in which the Yoruba nation has not produced great personalities of int'l repute. Talk about law in Nigeria (for instance) the very best of lawyers in Nigeria's history (past &present) are Yoruba's. What about other fields like banking & insurance, real estate, education, sport, engineering/architecture, politics/governance, even businesses that some people claim they know how to do best, some of the biggest investments in Nigeria today are owned & controlled by the Yorubas. Religion: Despite the difference in religious inclinations in the South West, it still remains the stronghold/base of Christianity in Nigeria. The biggest denominations & most influential pastors in this country are all in the West. So if the success of the Yoruba is your headache, then you'll never recover because we will only get better with time. Peace !

Politics / Re: Full Speech Of President Buhari On June 12, 2020 by Rotentik19: 11:46am On Jun 12, 2020
eldoradoxx:
When shortly before the 2019 general election Buhari in a bid to win South West declared June 12 democracy day in honour of MKO Abiola who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the democracy we have today, we saw beyond the mere declaration and told our people in the South West who were targets of this political manipulation that Buhari who featured prominently in Abacha's government just like a leopard won't change it's spot. They fell for his bait. Today June 12 has come and gone. Buhari has now shown everyone what he meant by June12. It is a day for self praise and nothing more. In the entire speech not even a word linking Chief MKO Abiola to today's holiday was mentioned, yet he told Nigerians last year that he was Honouring Abiola. I hope that South West is fast learning politics.
Well said bro. But I need to let you know certain things: Yorubas never fell for Buhari's political gimmicks as some persons were made to believe. The are so many of us who are well informed & know exactly what is going on. The major problem of the Yoruba nation are the "Judas iscariots" among us. Leadership is left to charlatans, who ordinarily shouldn't come close to power. With all sense of modesty, the Yorubas used to be the best in everything ;education, governance, economy, the top professions...etc But unfortunately, the beautiful ones died & the very ugly ones 'grabbed' power...and the narrative is no longer the same. The last leader the Yorubas had was Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo (RIP) So my brother, I really get your points, but not all Yorubas are fools or political illiterates. But there's is hope."Deep in my heart, I do believe we shall overcome someday ". Peace !

If the youths of Abia state could be this creative and stop taking kerosene, eba+egusi as dividends of democracy, stop voting rogues into power, then maybe things will begin to change for the better. What these Ondo youths have done is highly commendable. What a way to express one's displeasure without violence. Mediocre leadership is the major problem of Nigeria, it is never too late to put things right & the real change begins with the youth. Whether Yoruba or Igbo youths, it doesn't matter. The energy with which we bash our tribes here, could be channelled in the right directions. The truth is there are bad roads everywhere. As an omoluabi, I'll never tell you that my region is perfectly okay. We Yorubas know that we are no longer where we used to be, and that is the first step to recovery (acknowledging your shortcomings)...I'm tired of talking jare... but I hope I made some points ?. Peace !

Leadership failure is the major challenge we have in Nigeria. When leadership is all about 'chop, I chop', the majority of the populace suffer it.

Abia State has what it takes to be one of the top development centers in Nigeria, but greed and wickedness won't let it.

Why are there no roads?
Why are the streets so dirty so much so that Aba in particular is associated with dirts, and the roads are in poor condition?
Why are the workers not being paid their wages?.

With all Ariara market generates in income, the market is still in deplorable State, why?.

'God's Own State', looking so dirty and poorly managed. Cleanliness is next to godliness, maybe the people need to do self check and be honest with themselves.
Well.... I don't know who you are but I bet with my balls that you are not Igbo. The average Igbo man cannot be this honest. Thank you for saying the truth. Everything is not about the federal govt. For these roads to remain the way they are even after three governors, then it is high time the people began to ask questions. Peace !

You were beginning to get the point by stating that some yorubas stood by him while some betrayed him but you fell victim to your prejudices along the way.

You mentioned ABN and Nzeribe but omitted the other ABN chieftain named Abimbola Davies who was the one who actually filed an injunction in court to annul the election of his own kinsman. It is the case that Abimbola Davies filed that IBB used as reason to annul it.
Abimbola Davies' injunction was inconsequential. IBB was under intense pressure from forces more powerful than him, so he was going to annul the election anyway. And just so you know, Davies eventually backtracked & confessed to Abiola before going into exile. Peace !

Use your brain. Did Igbos support MKO Abiola or not? Did Osita Chidoka as a student put an advert in a national daily or not? Even aftpeddled annulment of the election by IBB were yoruba elders not sneaking into Aso Rock to collect money in the middle of the night? Were Igbos like Olisa Agbakoba, Chris Anyanwu and Comrade Chima Ubani not getting locked up and tortured by the military. When NADECO people were hiding and couldnt organise was it Not Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu that gave them a safe meeting place in his home?

When MKO came back from exile and declared himself president at Epetedo where were the yoruba elders? Was it not Chief Bobo Nwosisi and Ralph Obioha standing with him when the going got tough?
So there were no Yorubas who stood by Abiola ? The same Igbo that never supported him were the one running around to save after the annulment ? I guess Arthur Nzeribe & ABN gave him maximum support too abi ? When certain lies have been peddled for too long, they begin to sound like the truth. Bros, no matter what your argument is, it is on record that Igbos never supported Abiola. Not necessarily because the other candidate was better, but just because he was Yoruba.

You're ins.ane
I'm not sorry to say that.

When will you guide your people against false accusations??

Yes, Igbos and the North are the problem of this country.
They both destroy this country.

North --- through power / governance
South East --- through voting and supporting them
Not exactly bro. Even the North wanted out at a point in the history of Nigeria. The Igbo were the only tribe sweating real hard to keep "the zoo" as one (as evident in the political activities of Zik). Zik even had disagreement with Awolowo & Ahmadu Bello over the unity of "the zoo" he labeled them "ethnic champions". Aguiyi Ironsi & Ojukwu fought Isaac adaka Boro & killed more than hundred of his soldiers just because he sought freedom from " the zoo". Not telling the truth, is great disservice to posterity. The Igbo surreptitiously, destroyed the foundation of what would have been a great nation (if all had cooperated). The Fulani are only taking advantage of the division in the south. Peace !

Then, why do you say you support the west?
I've you ever supported the west in anything

If you want to know the meaning of support (in election terms), check the results of 1993 & 1999 and of Awolowo.
See the margin between the two parties in the west.

Even the Fulanis that killed you guys, you keep supporting them.
Yet, we are your problem cheesy
Exactly ! More than any other tribe in Nigeria, the Ibos have suffered from Fulani brutality. Yet they love their oppressors more than their friends. Right from the days of Nnamdi Azikiwe up until now, the Igbo would rather die asslicking the fulani than cooperate with the rest of the south. Their mentality is that: if we cannot have everything to ourselves and have every other tribe under our feet, then let the Fulani continue to rule. Shameless lot !
