aktopgun:Sometimes when you ANALYSE too much you PARALYSE your profits i'm going after the new subsidiaries now |
aktopgun:And this is what i said back in October regarding Costain Here are some numbers to digest for Costain (WA) Plc Outstanding shares listed: 159.9M Current Market price : N19.49 Trailing PE Ratio (YEnd Mar 2007) 72.19 Trailing EPS 0.27 Forward PE Ratio (YEnd Mar 2008) 2.85 Forward EPS 0.60 They are hoping to grow their EPS and by extension their PAT by a massive 122%. Already for the first three months of this year (YEnd Mar 2008) the PBT(Profit Before Tax) is N120M and they grew their turnover from N1.1B YEnd 2006 to N3B in 2007 a massive 174% leap. As a minimum i'm expecting the share price to cross the N25 mark(considering the rate at EPS is projected to grow) by the time they report in March next year. Going forward this is a good one and deserves the award for one of the most improved stocks (share price was N1.46 as at January 2007) and this was a company that was rapidly going into terminal decline until it was rescued by Shoreline Power company. They have also changed their business strategy by concentarting on contracts from the private sector a strategy which seems to have paid off. All their recently awarded contracts are from the private sector. The contracts on their order books are in excess of N5.5B and in the last 24 months they have invested N1B in capital/equipment and in the next 12 months it is planned that a further N2.5B will be invested in operating assets and they hope to start paying dividends in the next 12 months The parent company has also committed to recruiting 170 graduates every year in their quest to become the biggest engineering conglomerate in Africa. These are sentiments the market and investors alike like to hear. They are planning a PO(not sure but very soon) This is a stock you might want to watch! |
aktopgun:That is what i call ANALYSIS PARALYSIS I bet that the fellow who did the analysis is an accountant and he's only looking at cashflow and all what nots. I look at the business model and the strategy and so far it has worked and made some millions for me in profits even just for this Costain alone. I didnt buy into the PO though. |
easimoni:You fit decode that one? |
RoughCut:My mistake ABC did not do a spinning top today it did a FOUR PRICE DOJI.The body is extremely short and no shadows meaning the level of activity during the trading session was low. It Opened and Closed at the same price. This means there was a struggle between the bears and the bulls and nobody came out with the victor's trophy essentially a draw. It opened and closed today well below the lowest closing price of yesterday and with the low volumes the sellers are running out of ideas and volumes and they may not be able to put up a resistance if the bulls decide to make a fight of it tomorrow. Note that this is the hliday season and the sentiments may change the sellers may decide they want to do some shopping and may come out of their hiding places in which case they will whip the bulls into submission. This is just another of the scenarios that may play out today so watch the space! The bearish trend looks like its running out of steam very fast and tomorrow the bulls might just have the upper hand I need to make amends if i have created the wrong impressions and as for EMPTYING THE CAVITY my posts on ABC is not a stock recommendation unless someone specifically asks me then i can with the usual CAVEATS. My posts were an observation and analysis of the patterns i deciphered from the candle and sticks! |
blueband:Yeah they are still struggling with how to deal with that issue over there. Remembered a few years back when there was a massive row over refugees that were stuck in australian high seas for some weeks. It caused a big ruckus that led to all sorts of diplomatic incidents when australia refused the ship carrying refugees entry into her territorial waters and the poor souls were stranded on the seas for some weeks can you imagine? |
mecatchcha:Make we launch another IGNORE IRRELEVANT comments campaign ala Aktop ![]() |
Moves:We have agreed to IGNORE comments that are of no benefits to this forum i think the house is with me on this one. Dont dignify any pugnacious and repugnant comments with your response please. IGNORE it in its entirety and lets go back to the way things used to be. |
pumping777:The whole saga is just very unfortunate. You dont deserve this at all haba!My bro no vex just regard the whole episode as an unnecessary irritation |
Prince11:Nope they were in the SMEEIS or something like that which means GTB and Zenith lent them some money and in return for equity positions in Omatek computers now that Omatek has done very well they have bought out the holdings GTB and Zenith had in the company so GTB and Zenith do not have any more shares in the company |
So, Greentree, which stock recommendation are you giving after your long sermon?
That na the 'koko' abi? ![]() |

damoche07:Arsenal never died in the first place they are just conserving valuable resources for the journey ahead. This is not a slap and dash or CICOcouldnt resist the pun we are primed for a marathon race and that means use your resources more efficiently. We dont want to reveal all the title-winning weapons in our Arsenal do we? No! |
wanaj0:I know where you will expending all that NSE goodies now If you are going to be in the Middle East Qatar or Bahrain by that time you fit buzz me! |

aktopgun:This is also for all others |
aktopgun:Now that you mentioned it put me down on your list for the campaign |
MrPresidnt:Hmnnn. i think you should just leave it at that and good that peeps are contacting you so that solves the problem without me putting anybody in a difficult situation so pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease let it rest Biko! easimoni:It says on proshareng.com closure date March 24- 4 April and payment date 25 April |
Kashif:I hope you are not going to sell in a panic! Stock investment is all about patience the mere fact that someone said he/she made 50% or 100% in less than a week does not mean its going to be like that always. If things don't go according to your plans you just have to be calm about it and think it through rationally. The worst thing you can do is to a make a permanent decision in a temporary situation. Wait till the stock comes good and decide what to do. That's why peeps who recommend stocks to buy always add caveat emptor meaning do your own due diligence. ¨ No shaking by the way ![]() |
MrPresidnt:You know what i'm going to do? i will get wanaj0 to get in touch with you he's a very respected elder on this forum and he can give you the info you need. This is a public forum and i have kind of created a lot of useful relationships so i wouldnt want to be involved in recommending peeps. I will twist wanaj0's arm to get in touch by e-mail with you. Is that ok? and pls like i said read the last 50-100 pages if you have time Marshall wanaj0 over to you to help out Mr President! |
@All In actual fact what Mr Risky has just said just sums up the NSE Q1. |
MrPresidnt:Oya eyin boyz and girlz if you fit the bill pls reply to Mr President e-mail. On a more serious note pls try and read as much as you can on this page and i'm cork-sure you should be able to come up with a short-list of those you can speak to seriously. And it will benefit you personally and financially if you are an investor on the NSE. Once again try and read as much as you can It will be so unfair for me to start mentioning names but i'm sure those who are interested should be responding to you Abi wetin i talk fellow n'landers Caveat empty repete o! I dont know Mr President from Adam and i'm not available ![]() |
MrPresidnt:How about those peeps in the diaspora at least they will save you a fortune on accommodation and flights? If you have been reading this thread surely you must have realised a lot of them know much more than some of our so-called stock-brokers ![]() |
RoughCut:Yep ABC did another spinning top today so looks like where the price is heading will not be resolved in a few days. The spinning top is in the context of a bullish trend just like lastt friday i think it should be easy to predict what will happen tomorrow ![]() |
aktopgun:Yes o bro but the volumes come evaporate so we are talking a couple of days bull run abi? as RSI don pass 70 sef and momentum way high over to the +ve range above 2.0 and the 12 and 26-DAy MACD is +ve. It also closed well above its Bollinger price band for 20 and 2-day range so not sure the bull run will last till the end of this week. Hmnn, did i just say that? |
TeeHay:I got some last year and i got out at N7 or thereabouts and i have not been able to get back in again. I only have tasere on board nowfeeling a bit frustrated And it looks like the bull run has still got some life in it but will like to see the candles for today |
aktopgun:The High Low and Closing prices are the same so i expect another spinning top today |
aktopgun:Why am i not loving this ![]() |
Hmnnnn, ABC shed some weight as expected and guess what? Dunlop is representing as expected!and Ikeja Hotels is now out of my striking raduis ![]() Costain is now officially OUTRAGEOUS and if i had gone back in again into John Holt last week i would have made more than 25% |
FatherOF2:Make i decode that one sharp sharp. Na im be say during the NSE Q2 we should be looking for Large Cap stocks ha ha ha ha ![]() |
. You sit there and keep bad-mouthing while others are making their moves. Same way you watch stocks and keep watching them, begging for AkTopGun to shine his candle for you to make a move - typical Thomas behavour, they don't believe unless they see, and they've forgotten that the things you don't see control the things that you see. So if you want leverage, you have to start believing before you see mate. Contrary to your claim, that's not why you're a Nigerian. It's just why you're still one of those very few ones who think every other person except themsleves is a scammer. Relax dude, I make enough money doing what I do, so I don't need your few Naira at all.
