pumping777:Yep that's correct but they were psyching up DEAP Capital for TS in preparation for the IPO so i sincerely hope this is not the same for ABC |
windywendy:Make i speak english now; it was a stalemate but because it has now formed in the context of an uptrend as seen by yesterday's pattern it may signal a continuation of what we saw today because it means at some point the sellers will overcome the buyers and the price may retract further. What you said would have been correct yesterday I had to speak the long grammar because i thought it was easier than drawing the picture i think you will find its probably on a weak bid or offer |
windywendy:That would be a good idea if the rumours of impending TS are not true. Dont know why it dipped though the rumours of a bonus are very thick in the air |
Spitzer:Accident ke? it slowed down to pick up more passengers. Na the real 'agbero' dey inside no be ajebo conductors ![]() Candidly speaking the pattern today is called a spinning top and it means there was a little movement from Open to Closing price and the small shadows above and below the candle's real body indicate that sellers and buyers were struggling and it was a stalemate 1-1 goaless draw ![]() Note that if a spinning top regardless of the colour of the candle forms during an uptrend it could mean there are not many buyers left to push up the price and the price could start sliding. The spinning top today formed during an uptrend and if you look at the pattern yesterday the green real body with longer lower shadow means the buyers were able to force the price higher after the sellers had tried to push it lower and therefore the closing price is near to its open price this is yesterday From the charts today the spinning top formed during an uptrend as i said earlier so we may begin to see some pull-back from next week. If that happens it means the selling pressure will likely drive the price lower but you need to wait till next week to confirm this. Sorry don't feel like doing pictorials i will leave that to Aktop |
windywendy:I go 'Gbeborun' for that thread na ![]() As for those alphabets i dey seriously on that case but person suppose dey careful for that one o. I don revise my strategy for that one well well with all these rumours as results don due so i will just give myself a headroom of about a few weeks after they don release results see where the price is heading before i bail |
windywendy:And going by your performance on the other thread you never fail to deliver ![]() |

wanaj0:Are they able to buy into these PP's that we keep hearing about?. If that is the case i think i will need to take a flight down to 'discuss' with them. First we need a secured connection to them. Abi no be so fellow n'landers? |

wanaj0:You fit dump some of that extra luggage in my cargo hold ![]() I think my portfolio is lean and mean both long-term and CICO combined ![]() |
300M shares of First bank dealt on the NSE already wa o!. I think this is the much feared selling pressure by the profit takers so i think FBN may shed some more weight. I will be spending this weekend fine-tuning my shopping list. Phew! These guys are not joking o! Dangote Flour dropped by N2 already so profit takers are in full-force. The charts should be very intersting this afternoon |
aftadocean:Hmnnnnn i have heard this argument a lot of times but if it aint broken don't fix it. Zenith is delivering and will continue to deliver so will see what happens when Uncle Jim retires. Talking of one man FCMB comes to mind as well it was founded by Otunba Subomi but the son is now the MD/CEO although you don't have it and i don't either but it looks like its business as usual. The way i see it is this: these business supremos know that somehow they will not be around forever so they must have thought of grooming a successor so that when they finally leave the stage there's someone who is more than capable of assuming the mantle of leadership. It happens all the time and if they have been priviledged and smart enough to create these business empires i'm sure they should be smart enough to think of CONTINUITY for when the inevitable happens. |
wanaj0:@aftadocean Agree with wanaj0 but just a quick question why sell Zenith though? I had Zenith around the same time as you i think but that is one of the stocks that will take care of retirement and children's school fees. Just curious apart from that not sure there's anymore to be done to re-organise the portfolio other than to say when you sell those on the clear-out list add Ikeja hotels to the list. Its inching towards my long-term portfolio i have been watching it since easimoni alerted us to this stock about 6 months ago and i must say its has not disappointed so far although it hasnt done the wild gyration i expect but no harm done. It is stable and you can go to sleep on that one! I will be correct in saying that you built up the portfolio by purchasing on the primary market. Well as you are probably aware a lot of water has passed under the bridge and the goal-posts have been moved. You know now that PO and IPO's now are the biggest jokes on the NSE so much so a lot of peeps are now chronically allergic to public offers my point being you cant rely on the primary market to add to your portfolio anymore! Since you are a lifer you will need to select your stocks now based on sound fundamentals in the secondary market |
Prince11:I think they've started selling already and that's why the candle and stick pattern is showing a red marubozu |
Having said that WEMA is still the cheapest banking stock forward PE of ~11.8 but its a damaged brand so they still have a lot of work to do to repair all the ![]() |
husu:Them still dey far from the ![]() |
FatherOF2:Wetin the company dey sell sef?Make we start from the beginning of the beginning ![]() |
K2:Ha ha ha ha i no know say K2 don get winch too He be like you do rubber neck read my post before i press the Reply button ![]() |
debenzd:No your eye no see double at all you see well well my sis ![]() i don check the candle light na correct RED MARUBOZU the thing dey show candidly speaking it means the open price equals the high an dthe close equals the high. In english it means this is a very bearish pattern where the sellers controlled the price from start to finish don't know why they are selling though! As F02 talk he don land for firing zone. The thing we confuse me be say the RSI would suggest its OVERSOLD as you rightly observed but its too far below the 30 threshold so it might be bearish for a while which is confirmed by the red MARUBOZU. But on its own a red marubozu signals a continuation of a bearish thread or a reversal so i'm still scratching my head which its going to be. If you want to make a quick hit-and-run it is perfectly positioned definitely its going to experience an upside but not sure exactly when. The real action go start near the time when them go release FYE results around June/July so if the price never go maiduguri before them release results na helele. This one na the joker in the pack na the ketekete wey we go take enter JERUSALEM triumphantly. The results will be out of this world trust me better now as dey don get Mubadalla Telecomms account. The results should make the Gunnness book of records without breaking sweat na that one go come separate the Boyz from the Men and the eagles from the chickens ![]() |
FatherOF2:No fire the thing out of range o! ![]() |
pumping777:To complicate matters further i checked zenith securities and it had Dunlop as gaining 1K whereas other sites i checked actually showed Dunlop as dropping. Zenith securities was also showing Ikeja Hotels as dropping the price today whereas other sites i checked were showing Ikeja hotels as actually gaining those are the two i can remember on top of my head so dont know which is which! |
