aktopgun:Check Zenith securities but it looks like what you are saying is confirmed on zenithsecuritiesng.com |
Naijadr:Oceanic and ACESS are for medium-long term and i suppose Dunlop,Presco and Nascon are RO-RO/CICO. Wait a bit for Dunlop to shed some blood. CandidlyAktopcandle what says thou? speaking for Dunlop the previous price action is a shooting star which is basically a bearish reversal pattern and i think today its formed a Dragon Fly Doji which is a sort of confirmation for the Bearish reversal. The RSI shows its in the OVERBOUGHT region so expect a retracement if it has not already happened. So wait a few more days more i think it should be within striking distance. Enter if you are convinced by Dunlop turn-around story. By the wasy i own ACCESS and OCEANIC but i'm going to Australia with those ones ![]() |
@rhemagirl, what I have not established now is whether GTB will be declaring any goodies this Feb. Yr end or they will be shifted down to december for the unification of banks yr ends. @ roughcut, can you confirm whether the goodies will be distributed early oy later next year?
I dont have that info but i dont see any reason why not. If they decide to report FYE by December they are in effect going to be reporting for 15 months performance for FYE in December. They have done well with the 9 month results. My opinion though |
Rhemagirl:FYE is February and they did a 1 for 4 bonus last financial year with a dividend of 50K. Not sure what they are planning this year |
aktopgun:Done! |
aktopgun:Homeboy no 'Aggro'! hit me with your e-mail addy again i will shout out to you whenever i'm in the UK ![]() |
aktopgun:You share the same surname with the CEO/MD are you guys related? |
Napolean:I hope i understand you correctly as regards Intercontinetal they are floating a PO to do a share reconstruction right? With 18.5B shares outstanding i think it will be madness to float the shares again. The only plausible explanation for a PO will be to to do a share reconstruction to reduce the shares outstanding Zenith did a PO in mid '05 i believe because i remember i bought @N16 for every body in my family wifey and son included ![]() The funny thing is i didnt even sell when it climbed to N68 that one na looooooooooooooong-term portfolio hopefully i will soon be able to use the dividends to pay for my son's Oxford or is it Harvard or Yale university? tuition fees when its time for him to go to Uni ![]() I cashed out my holding in UBN for the same reasons highlighted in your post and i'm riding on the FBN 'ketekete' wey we go take enter JERUSALEM TRIUMPHANTLY. I just read a report that FBN has got the MUBADALLA the Telecom operator's account. Mubadalla is the Nigerian arm of the Etisalat Telecomms of UAE. The significance of this is that Mubadalla is expected to start rolling out its Telecomms services in the next 4 weeks and its expected billions of naira will be passing through FBN cofers and apparently FBN was also chosen as the exclusive account holder in the event that MUbadalla will be raising funds locally and abroad and FBN will be in pole-position for this venture. Watch the space! Marshall wanaj0 thank you again o i'm now a converted disciple of FBN spectacular extraordinaire As for UBN i still get some KG's on board so will await the the summer extravaganza. Although there had been rumours of the directors giving up 30% of their holdings to some foreign investors but i understand that was blocked so may be the summer extravaganza is what they have now arrived at. Well well that will not do the stock and harm at all. Maybe i should go and buy some more before this news start gaining currency and hopefully i can sell just before they go on TS Hmnnnn Good days are here! I beg Elder Napoleon please share with us any news regarding STARCOMMS, INTERSWITCH and MULTI-LINKS we are waiting on you ![]() |
pumping777:And dey come add salt to the insult come put everything for inside injury ![]() |
pumping777:I fail to see the attraction of this PO though. The last i read when we were trying to dissect the offer on this thread they were going to use the bulk of the proceeds to pay debts and for Flour Mills 70% stake in the company or something like that. Or am i missing something here? Well today is ishso my memory could be cloudyish ![]() |
pumping777:So they are caught between the proverbial rock and the hard place! |
pumping777:You and i know that ain't gon happen! |
blueband:Problem solved |
pumping777:I think they should be able to live with high nominal price and 10B outstanding shares supported with luvly-jubbly results though. With the level of profits they generating now with 16B outstanding shares the fundamentals will be shot to pieces. As long as they placate us with reasonable dividends and may be bonus isuues once in about 4 years i don't think anyone will complain. Just that no more RO-RO for this one! The high nominal price of Nestle doesnt seem to have impacted the stock adversely and OandOalthough we know say that one get oil after him name ![]() |
windywendy:Wickedish ke? The milk or is it blood of human kindness is flowing through every vein in my body ![]() |
easimoni:They are in pole-position for an inverse bonus! ![]() |
blueband:If your name is not on the register as a shareholder by the closure date you can kiss the rights GOODBYE. So go and check again the date on your contract note! |
blueband:From the FSDH spreadsheet in front of me the closure date for dividends and i guess bonus issue is 12.02.2008. So check when the date on your contract slip |
aktopgun:I dont think you and blueband will be able to cope with the traffic o ![]() |
mecatchcha:If a stock is experiencing high volumes and its on net bid it means there are more buyers than sellers and therefore the buying pressure will push up the price. On the other hand if the stock is on net offer and experiencing high volumes it means there are more sellers than buyers and the selling pressure will force down the price. This is a simplistic explanation and as you will find out things are not always Black and White where the NSE is concerned Judging from the number on your post i'm assuming you are a newbie to the forum and you are therefore welcome on the other hand if you are one of the deep-pockets/silent readers on the forum welcome all the same ![]() |
aktopgun:140M a couple of days ago and 80M today. Yesterday was 36M and Universal insurance 888M chei! I think its only WEMA that surpassed that record and look at what happened I hope the geezers at SEC are taking note ![]() |
aktopgun:Have you looked at the volumes? |
DEAP CAPITAL gave a dividend of 13K and bonus of 1 for 2 and they are on TS! I'm sure there's something i must be missing. I would have thought announce the goodies first and allow the feel-good factor to push up the price a bit more and go on TS! BTW: anybody looking at the volumes for Intercontinental Bank looks like there's something in the offing! Either some peeps have seen the unaudited FYE if there's one or they are getting ready for a share reconstruction. They are in pole-position to do a share reconstruction |
Naijadr:Hmnnn that one is very interesting though. looking at the charts technically and candidlyAktop What sayest though Aktop ![]() The RSI is in the 50's which means its trending and therefore confirms what the candles are saying there's not going to be a tubulence soon. Momentum is not too far away from the zero-line which is a sign that its neither OVERBOUGHT nor OVERSOLD. If you enter don't expect a sudden upside or downside soonest. Fundamentally speaking the FY is March and the PO shares are going to be listed that makes a total of ~2.5B shares outstanding that gives roughly a projected forward PE in the 70's which is wayyyyyyyyyyy toooooooo high in anybody's book. But then the rumours of bonus which i personally think is suicidal could jerk up the price you never know. I think they are planning a supplementary offer to absorb the excess subscription If you ask me i don't see much upside in the short-medium term. My opinion though! If you are in it for the long-term MAY BE but don't forget they are located in the Niger-Delta area with the attendant uprisings not being resolved is bound to impact them in some form |
blueband:Fundamentally sound stocks YES by all means buy before going on TS and do partial RO-RO at least that way you don commot profit and you can use your profit somewhere else. Even if you get caught in the TS web no 'wahala' it just means you roll over the stock to your long-term portfolio as long they are fundamentally SOUND stocks! I have been accumulating COSTAIN and SKYEBANK before they went on TS and i tell you for a fact i don hammer BIG-TIME with Costain o! That one na blood money. I can do partial CICO now to remove profit and enter again when the profit takers have done their song and dance routine ala the windy lady herself Buying CICO/RORO stocks with dodgy and wonky fundamentals and getting caught by TS is a No No for me and a recipe for HBP and Hypertension! So for CICO and RO-RO set a target like FO2 will always advise and bail out when targets are met. For dodgy stocks when i do CICO and/or RO-RO i do full CICO and that's it for me! I don do Full RO-RO for bank PHB and if i want i fit re-enter again before Q3 action depending on where the price is at. According to FO2 Q3 and FY are the important milestones if you are timing company results Abi no be so FO2? I have long-term portfolio so CICO and RO-RO na addition to the bottom-line for me! The long-term portfolio is a hedge against when the bears come visiting |
Naijadr:WEMA is one lesson i will never forget in a hurry! Even after offloading almost 100KG i still get about 25KG payload on board the WEMA jet that has so far refused to take-off |
Naijadr:The trick is knowing when to get out but that one dey hard o. As long as objectives are met just bail out what happens after is less relevant even if the price come triple just move on and get ready for the next one! I spent a greater part of last year pitching for Japaul and CI Leasing but me i don commot even did partial CICO/RO-RO first time round and now full CICO so anything that happens not sure its going to be a big deal by the way is of less concern to me. I dey wait for NEGRIS now or wetin dem call am again? |
Naijadr:It was discussed but not a lot of peeps had any concrete info on what was happening! No wonder its been on net offer for a few days. A lot of peeps who had an inkling of what was coming were trying to offload NSE i hail thee! |
aktopgun:And PSYCHIATRY! BTW: Looks like like a lot of peeps didnt see the DEAP CAPITAL TS coming! |
lawalidowu:If what you are saying about buying SKYE bank @~N20 is correct so i can tell you now that somehow the price has been bidded up to that level and when it eventually comes off TS we are looking at an opening price in the N20 region. I just did a quick check even with the additional 3B shares expected from the PO listed you have total outstanding of ~12B and with the 1Q PAT of N2.8B declared the projected forward PE ratio is ~19.3 which i think makes it very attractive. I havent factored in oversubscription though. Considering the fact that most other banking stocks have been straddling along of late this one might just be a cut-above the rest! My thinking though CAVEAT EMPTOR/EMPTY/EMPTRESS! |
barge:Bro i throway salute o how bodi? Mesef i be work-in-progress that's why i'm still a rough cut diamond that has not yet been polished ![]() Welcome back to the fold |
lawalidowu:Na wa o! So all those who have been moving the stock are buying at a premium. I would say a risky YES for the simple fact those who have been buying are creating some sort of scarcity so the price will keep going to MaiduguriHmnnnnnn another blood money! for a while until peeps start taking profit when the certs are released so its a likely scenario. CAVEAT EMPTY/EMPTOR/EMPTRESS! |
