Ha ha ha! no offence taken. Infact i wold advise you to shore up your holdings in UBA i have and they are now serving a life sentence somewhere in my long-term portfolio. UBA belongs to the top three in the banking sector on the NSE wait for the half-year resuls. If you need to sell hopefully you have enough with bonus and you can sell those as someone suggested on the fatherland.

UBA is long-term and not a CICO stock o!

I changed tactics a bit o when the fundamental stocks refused to move. I can only hope for the best.

Hmnnn, you dont do CICO if you dont have fundamental stocks in your long-term portfolio you can fall back on when the bears come to drink water.

I started buying stocks on the NSE in '04 and i have not sold a single one of those till date they are long-term and serving a life sentence in my portfolio

I only started doing CICO sometime last year because F02 opened my eyes and that means i have to be more rigorous in selecting stocks for CICO and long-term. From your posts i am fairly right in assuming that you have just started investing in stocks and therefore you havent gone too far into analysing and selecting stocks yourself.

If you select stocks based on recommendations on this forum please and please complement that with your own analysis before you make up your mind and if there are things you are not sure about by all means ask.Sorry if i sound patronizing.

All those who recomend a stock on this forum add a CAVEAT EMPTOR for this same reason because some peeps select stocks to invest in because it was mentioned here

Try to do your own homework in addition to what you learn here and you stand a better chance of avoiding a situation like this and another thing investing in stocks is all about PATIENCE

They will suspend the shares of the company from trading before they commence their investigations so everybody go know where them stand. NSE seems to have gone about it the wrong way round. How can a company be under investigation and the shares are still  actively being traded

May be Madam Ndi don dey sleep when dem make this announcement. She fit wake up tomorrow come dey tell SEC say dem no get right to suspend the shares of a company. She dey among those wey cause the initial 'katakata' when the story broke

It will be right to assume Bigtreat and AP may be off the hook since all the investigations were conducted at the same time and nothing forth coming on those two companies but then it may mean they are still investigating since they did not confirm they are in the clear.

Not a good situation to be in if you get load on board.

If they dont say something quick as per AP and Bigtreat that will even trigger panic selling on its own! The worst they can do is to keep this hanging and the investors not knowing if they are coming or going.

I hate to think that someone or some people can trigger the panic button tomorrow!

Since pumping don deal with the first two stocks make i deal with the last one. If you are a long-termer FBN is good to go at current price like most tier one banking stocks no appreciable movement for now but if you believe in investing long-term its looking cheap at the price now

Candidly speaking the pattern is a GREEN MARUBOZU which means its VERY BULLISH and will go on for a few more days. It has crept to the OVERBOUGHT region so expect a dip i the few days. It may take longer than a few days to correct downwards or shorter when exectly the candle i'm looking at does not say. If the volumes start decreasing then it may time to bail out.

The fundamentals are rubbish so cannot be responsible for the bullish pattern we are seeing at the moment the only thing i can think of is the FYE is December so may be impending results and all the associated rumours may be responsible.

This is strictly a CICO stock!

Be ready to jump ship in a few days

what i've gleaned so far on shoreline and their investments:

Costain- own roughly 50%      I think  will be more than that cuz he's got indirect shareholding via other subsidiaries he controls
Alumaco- majority shareholder
Nigerian ropes- majority share holder He took majority shareholding through QITC Quality Inspection Testing Certification which is a subsidiary of Nigerian RopesPremier paints- owns 40%, majority share holder
ABB electricals nigeria- majority share holder
Schlumberger tests and production nigeria -majority share holder.

it strikes me that most of these companies are in that manufacturing and construction supply chain u know

the search continues.

i guess i'll have to wait for costain to slow down before attempting a hijack (roughcut watchout. u will be the only person i will leave alive on this one because i have learnt from my last hijack-oceanic, wher i left the airhostess alive and she did a "passenger 57" (ala wesley snipes) on me. wont let that happen again!!  

I think the way Shoreline has positioned the acquisitions is to acquire companies that will service the private construction/furniture contracts that Costain have on their books so that the supply chain is not disrupted and will ensure they have sufficient cashflow for their operations as the analyst in one of your posts pointed out.

Shoreline is also into the power and energy sectors and that would explain why they are acquiring all these oil and power generation equipment testing and certification.

I only get hand-luggage for the Costain jet now the only way you are going to catch me  is if you decide to board the subsidiaries' jet and as for Oceanic i dey go with that one to Australia. Oceanic is slowing down to refuel mid-air over the atlantic ocean for the long-haul flight down under
